  1. Of course they should be refuesed entry but that doesnt happen. Granted some turn up pissed already but i dont think them being allowed to chuck more pints down their throats is going to help much is it?
  2. Andy, have you read all the other posts on this thread ? I think you will find that yes, it is abused !
  3. I am sure i saw him selling hot dogs beforehand and sweeping up after, like something out of the Phoenix Club ! Entertainment was CRAP ! Who the hell thinks of these things ?
  4. i am not sure that they are actually aloud to physically man handle anybody, normally that would be left to the police. There were no Police in attendance as far as i could see except that one Copper who it looks like they ran outsiode and grabbed off his pushbike and that was all after the event in any case. i dont know what happend to him, he seem to dissapear again.
  5. I get the impression that they believe the louder it is then the more atmosphere it creates. WRONG, i think it is just a bit too loud to the extent that the sound kind of rebounds off the walls/roof and distorts. Couldnt understand a word from the announcer of the rider interviews. Also think the band had a spot of trouble with the accoustics, his timing was way off at times. They just need to knock it back a notch or two. I have been to concerts in the Stadium and it is fine, i dont mind loud but you have to be able to understand it. The trouble here is they dont have a separate sound system for the entertainment, it just all goes through the stadium announcement one. The other thing is it is noce to talk to your mate occasionally about what is going on but half the time you cant hear eachother !
  6. Agreed, but the Stewards dont seem to be under orders to stop them coming in. If they could not buy Alcohol in the Stadium then at least they would progressively sober up during the meeting not get more and more drunk. The Poles are particulary fond of a pint or 10 but again the Stewards dont really get involved with them. Another observation yesterday is that the Poles were allowed to put huge Banners out across loads of seats. Yes i know there were plenty of spare seats but i saw people moving around the stadium looking to sit in the almost empty top tier start/finish line seats who were turffed out by Stewards for not having a ticket for that area. However there was a huge Polish flag covering about 30 seats and i`m bloody sure they never paid for them ! I have already lost my local club and speedway is in free fall again. We need to encourage kids and families into speedway, i am afraid that a lot of what i saw yesterday will do nothing to encourage families to spend an evening at the Speedway. Let them drink beforehand and after the meeting but please dont pour it down their necks throughout. Love the Stadium, love the event but it doesnt need the aggro caused by excessive consumption of alcohol.
  7. Just wondered what peoples thoughts are on banning the sale of Alcohol at the Stadium? Each year there seems to be more and more trouble and yesterday there was a big ruck on the top tier with stewards wading in and trying to stop iot and eject some. it carried on throughout the meeting. Now i like a drink and i know this will set off a few people whinging but is it right that others have to put up with this? From where i sat there were a few drunken groups trying to wind up other drunken groups and at one point the kids who were around me were getting pretty scared. I agree with the old adage of why should the rest of us suffer because of the few, but i have been through it at footballl and it really isnt an issue these days, everybody knows the rules and thats that. lets be honest, there is enought time for a drink in Cardiff pre meeting,
  8. LMAO at this, what are the chances when he only has about 6 fingers anyway !
  9. I hope its not the one we had at Reading a couple of years back, they were awful ! They should have gone for the Illegal Eagles, saw them a few weeks ago, absolutely brilliant..........
  10. It`ll be that Euackghion Quigg or some other x factor looser ! I reckon they should go for Tom Jones
  11. Just do what i did last year, bought the cheapest ticket for the uper tier, then after the first four heats move to where you like !
  12. " Last year............i had a dweam................on Monday night..............i had a wet one ! "
  13. Why not just do away with the rule altogether. Each team can have a reserve and use him when they want up to a maximum of 4 rides ( meaning the other 5 must have had one first ). Tracks should be prepared in the normal way under the venues normal track currator. Olsen coming along and trying to impart his views on the track is always going to be contentious. I was working at smallmead during last years SWC and all he wanted was to take dirt off !
  14. try this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NvLWnNm_buk
  15. I was 3rd bend, top tier front row as well ! Wearing my Rfc shirt, block u21 i think.
  16. well for whats it worth, most of those that express opinions have no idea. Myself and many others worked at the track continuosly from Wednesday morning onward, UNPAID to get the practice and meetngs on. We were working to orders not from the Bulldogs management or BSi, so why dont the jealous knockers just lay off ! the event happened, yes it could have been better, but not through any fault of BSi or the track staff. And so what if BSi had a say in where it was held, they have every right to try and re-coup some of the money they have undoubtedly lost this year pumping money into speedway, good luck to them. I`m sick to death of the anti BSi brigade, just shut up for one minute and think about the good they have done for our sport !!!!! You didnt have to come and watch, nobody forced you.
  17. ITS RAINING HARD !!!!!!!!!!! The forecast said this will happen but it will pass and be dry later.
  18. cloud bubbling up and the temp has dropped. I think its gonna rain !
  19. Great point, all the track prep time is determind by Sky TV demands, there simply isnt enough. Two laps with the bowser is not enough. Track work had to stop by 7pm to facillitate the parade etc and then you have to wait until after heat 5. Over ah hour in searing heat without water. Then you get a couple of laps watering and have to get on with it again. Nigh on impossible unless you start with a very wet track it just aint gonna happen.
