  1. I'm not sure that bandying around a rider's name on a public forum is in the best interests of the club?
  2. Thomas will get his confidence back and will click, I'd rather have him in my team when that happens.
  3. I Thomas will get back to last season's form after a couple more meetings, and a bit more luck on his side.
  4. With regard to carrying a No1, is would be utter lunacy to even think about replacing Thomas. Coming back from a shoulder injury then a wrist (or hand?) break, he hasn't had a chance to build his form up. A few more meetings and he'll be back up to speed.
  5. Got to mention Captain Doolan for us. He really knows how to lead by example. Sheffield are an impressive team this year, could go all the way. I agree with Fromafar, Stead is always exciting to watch.
  6. Very good point Norman, if just the racing was the key to big crowds then there wouldn't be problems for places like Scunny and Plymouth. For me it is a mix of the racing, the individual riders, the sound and smell, the banter, the grub, the twists and turns in close meetings. For Sky to come 4 seasons in a row is not by chance, the club (and I mean all aspects, including the fans) is clearly doing lots of things right. Sky don't do things on a whim.
  7. Terrible luck for Liam who has really started to kick on this season. Hope he makes a speedy recovery. http://www.berwickbandits.co/article/liam-carr-update
  8. It really shows the quality of our club that we are getting another Sky meeting. Very proud, and we always get a great turnout from the fans, which I'm sure helps. Nigel and Kelvin certain seem to enjoy their visits! Edited to add source http://berwickbandits.co/article/sky-tv-return
  9. I think we are going to have to pull out all stops to win this one. A really like the look of this Sheffield team and they will come and have a real go at us. Of course, our boys will have a right go back at them. I'm predicting - and very much looking forward to - a rock 'n' roll speedway meeting!!
  10. Magnificent post! Yes, Scott has been behind a massive amount of the progress this year and I think he'll become a formidable TM in the near future. As you say Tsunami, without a doubt the best man for the job. Anyone who thinks otherwise either has a hidden agenda, or is a bit loopy.
  11. Looks as if the Bandits put up a decent fight of it. Good score for Liam too.
  12. Do you understand what I meant by that yet?
  13. One thing I noticed about Scott last night was how he interacted with the riders. TJ is clearly having problems at the gate, and Scott appeared to be working hard to help him with this. He's a sharp guy, knows his speedway, and will grow into one of the best team managers around; I'm sure of that.
  14. I hope sense prevails from the BSPA. Peterborough are such an asset to the PL, we need them strong and being treated correctly. Just let Panthers get on and sign two British lads - BSPA!!!!!!
  15. Bandits announced a change. http://berwickbandits.co/article/anders-out-henning
  16. Accompanied kids for free is excellent, and shows vision rather than short-sighted "trying to make a buck wherever possible". It makes the night more affordable for families, and it brings along the future generation of fans. Absolutely nuts to suggest that this should change.
  17. Missed what sounds like a cracking meeting last week. Hoping for the same tonight. Weather looking like behaving itself after winter paying a visit yesterday! http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/gcyt62suu
