Never been a fan of Kus, Taffy. Depends what average he is on, I suppose.
-
Agree, in terms of his ability, and his performances for us he is a great wee rider. Bags of talent and a great entertainer.
-
He did miss a few too many meetings, but everyone was aware of that at the time. If he wasn't going to miss many meetings, then I would have Pepe back.
-
Looks to be a decent prospect, though?

I agree, a very good shout from Neil. As always the voice of reason. 2013-12-07 South Australia Championships 1 Cameron Woodward 2 3 3 3 3 3 6 17 2 Shane Parker 3 3 3 3 3 2 6 17 3 Robert Branford 1 2 2 3 3 3 1 7 15 4 Kyle Newman 3 3 3 2 2 0 6 13 5 Justin Sedgmen 3 3 1 1 2 2 6 12 6 Max Fricke 2 2 2 2 2 1 6 11 7 Arlo Bugeja 3 1 1 3 1 0 6 9 8 Dakota North 0 2 2 2 3 5 9 http://speedwayresults.com/result.php?type=15&season=2014

Some good points there, Neil, and a balanced point of view. I must say, your return to the forum brings a refreshing intellect with it.
-
Tero at reserve could, potentially, be a good shout.
-
A good point, well made. Neil can be a right haver sometimes. Although I know where he is coming from. Better to have a team of riders that are likely to maintain or increase their averages than a load of risky assessed riders. It's all a balancing act, with quite a bit of luck required, I guess.

I can't believe that Berge is being thought of as a better signing than Carr. Do we want a season of adding assets willy-nilly, at the risk of losing a lot of meetings? Do we want a season with riders who are going to be close to, or above, their starting averages? Berge was not that impressive at Shielfield, he has something about him, but very young and probably not ready for PL. But who can tell, we'll only find out once the season has got into its stride.
-
It was indeed. Proper fans obviously knew that.
-
That's some statement, Taffy. You can't generalise that loss-making businesses only show it as a paper exercise. Now businesses being tax efficient is another thing. I think us not signing Berge is a good move, we just couldn't carry him this season. Remember when we didn't sign Albin last year? Starke, can't be helped, but we can't say it is a big mistake until we're well into the season. Interestingly, some posters who said that we couldn't have Starke pairing up with Carr, now seem to think it is a big loss not signing him...
-
Shaping up nicely, Tiggers. Look forward to seeing you all next season after the scare we all had that you might not run.
-
Couldn't agree more
-
Doolan a great rider to have back at Shielfield. Pleased with the two signings so far, I agree with a few posters on here; strength in depth could work well for us.
-
Neither do you, what's your point? What a haver!
-
Heh, heh. All this anxiety, like the spoilt kid who can't wait for Christmas! I'm sure we will have a team worth going to watch come the new season. One thing is for sure, Saturday evenings are a Hell of a lot more boring during the winter. I say it should be a 12 month season.
-
The books of tickets is a great idea. Good idea as a Christmas gift, actually.
-
Stojanowski not signed yet. Always went well round Shielfield.
-
Scott Nicholls would be interesting. I wonder if he would consider doubling-up. Edited for accuracy.
-
Remember, the forum isn't for posting opinions. It's about posting several contradictory teams; whilst maintaining an air of self-proclaimed speedway management genius, allied with splendid pomposity.
-
Spot on the money, as always.
-
There must be a few Elite League riders who could double-up, Scott Nichols? New assets are great, as long as they are reasonably close to their assessed averages. If they don't achieve this, all the "new blood" callers will be calling for their blood. Can't win as a speedway promoter.
-
Yeah, I noticed the contradiction in certain arguments too. I guess a choice has to be made between new assets, or proven scorers, or a balance of both.
-
I agree with Screm, Tomicek more than did his job when at reserve for us. I'd like to see Dimitri Berge is Starke is not an option.
-
Ooooh, a new 5 pointer?
