  1. Another signed I'm pleased with. His ride to win the Ben Fund meeting was excellent. More of that please!
  2. Nae bother, it wasn't taken that way My reservations are probably not fair at all. I wouldn't complain with him in the team, though.
  3. Being honest, no reason other than gut feeling, probably based on past experience. Probably not a fair assessment, I know.
  4. He looks a lot more attractive on 8.70 right enough. I can't help but feel he is another Gjedde waiting to happen?
  5. Good, but more dream-like than my fantasy team! What reduction for Hansen?
  6. How about this then? Doolan 7.51 Bellego 6.36 Pepe 6.95 Kus 6.19 Alden 7.37 Piszcz 5.10 Carr 3.00 42.48
  7. I'll not go into details! Seriously though, that team could potentially do a bit of damage.
  8. It's not glamorous, but look at the calibre you are always going to have at reserve with it. Come on then, let's hear your dream team.
  9. Doolan 7.51 Bellego 6.36 Vissing 6.89 Kus 6.19 Alden 7.37 Piszcz 5.10 Carr 3.00 42.42 What a team that would be!
  10. I don't do this very often, but here goes with my "dream team": Doolan 7.51 Bellego 6.36 Vissing 6.89 Kus 6.19 Alden 7.37 Stickhauer 4.56 or new 5.00) Carr 3.00 41.88
  11. Here is the potential Matej has. http://youtu.be/mSX3-QWTDpU Hopefully we'll see this realised this season
  12. It's encouraging to hear from some that Matej has been getting a bit of form and confidence recently. Believe it or not, I'm in agreement with Screm, it is now up to the management of him to make sure he achieves his potential. If he does, then he will be a great signing, if not, well that is just speedway. I think Liam has to be a certainty at number 7, providing it works for him. His results for Edinburgh were very good for such a young lad. That shows he is able to improve, which takes takes and application. I'm all for having him in the team. Watch this, we'll have a team that doesn't excite on paper, but delivers on track. Mark my words!
  13. I have to admit to being unsure about Kus. There is certainly ability there, but I thought he would have developed a lot more than he has. One thing I must say is that I'd have him ahead of Aspegren in the team. We might not sign a team of seat of the pants riders, but then we might sign a team that is successful. I'm still very much looking forward to the start of the season. A switched-onb Seb Alden would be close to one of the top riders in the PL. In the right frame of mind he could easily stick a point on his average.
  14. Back to normal on here again I see, despite some good efforts to have a sensible discussion.
  15. My gut feeling is that Kus wouldn't get above that. Never can tell though. He's definitely got something about him, maybe Berwick's the place to bring it out.
  16. Never been a fan of Kus, Taffy. Depends what average he is on, I suppose.
  17. Agree, in terms of his ability, and his performances for us he is a great wee rider. Bags of talent and a great entertainer.
  18. He did miss a few too many meetings, but everyone was aware of that at the time. If he wasn't going to miss many meetings, then I would have Pepe back.
  19. I agree, a very good shout from Neil. As always the voice of reason. 2013-12-07 South Australia Championships 1 Cameron Woodward 2 3 3 3 3 3 6 17 2 Shane Parker 3 3 3 3 3 2 6 17 3 Robert Branford 1 2 2 3 3 3 1 7 15 4 Kyle Newman 3 3 3 2 2 0 6 13 5 Justin Sedgmen 3 3 1 1 2 2 6 12 6 Max Fricke 2 2 2 2 2 1 6 11 7 Arlo Bugeja 3 1 1 3 1 0 6 9 8 Dakota North 0 2 2 2 3 5 9 http://speedwayresults.com/result.php?type=15&season=2014
  20. Some good points there, Neil, and a balanced point of view. I must say, your return to the forum brings a refreshing intellect with it.
  21. Tero at reserve could, potentially, be a good shout.
  22. A good point, well made. Neil can be a right haver sometimes. Although I know where he is coming from. Better to have a team of riders that are likely to maintain or increase their averages than a load of risky assessed riders. It's all a balancing act, with quite a bit of luck required, I guess.
  23. I can't believe that Berge is being thought of as a better signing than Carr. Do we want a season of adding assets willy-nilly, at the risk of losing a lot of meetings? Do we want a season with riders who are going to be close to, or above, their starting averages? Berge was not that impressive at Shielfield, he has something about him, but very young and probably not ready for PL. But who can tell, we'll only find out once the season has got into its stride.
  24. It was indeed. Proper fans obviously knew that.
