  1. Having Kus at reserve is not a bad position, looks like Steen will not be out of place moving up. I definitely prefer the strngth in depth team building. Incidentally, did you see the photo of Josh Grazonek in the newsletter? Very painful looking!
  2. Good signing for the Tiggers, Henry is a good solid rider.
  3. For those who don't receive the newsletter, I shall quote. "Thomas was most-recently seen in the UK as a Redcar Bear, for whom he rode in 2006 and again in 2010. If he is able to commit to a British club again, Suchanek might well prove an interesting signing for -- some club." I guess I'm reading more into it than was actually there.
  4. Read the post a bit more carefully, SCB, I expect better than this from you.
  5. The quote was his scores are picking up, and - if you look at my example - not necessarily.
  6. I think Sarah made the original point that his scores were improving recently, no reference to his average. May I refer you to the following post: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=76616&p=2458609
  7. Here's an illustration (I'm not sure how many drop off, or how many come in, but it should explain the point): 4 scores drop off of 8, 7, 7, 6 = 28 Scores in the middle are not as good Form starts to pick up 4 latest scores come in of 6, 6, 7, 8 = 27 So, recent results are improving (based on everything in between), but the rolling average would still drop. It's the sum of the set of scores that are crucial. Another way to think of it. Plot the scores on a bar chart. If the scores are a smiley shape with a slight grin to the left, then the rolling average will decrease; if it has a grin to the right, it will increase. Sunday morning!
  8. I agree, it's a real team effort and the formula is spot on. There's nobody that looks out of place in the lineup, and everyone doing the business at critical points in the meetings.
  9. Surely it depends on what is dropping off at the other end of the scores, i.e. what the sum of the set is?
  10. If Kus goes to reserve, we're just as strong, if not stronger. Hell of a reserve to have, and Steen will have no problem in the main team. As discussed, it's our favoured shape of team Taffy, it's always going to be strong, no matter who moves up and down.
  11. I must say, it is most satisfying sitting 9 points ahead of Newcastle having ridding half the number of meetings. I'm going to take this opportunity to gloat while I can
  12. Kus doing the business for us, especially at home. Like you say Sarah, when a rider is happy, it shows
  13. Solid as a rock is Matty, utterly dependable rider.
  14. That's what I meant, I just didn't put it as clearly Yeah, it's a joke that they get any double rides.
  15. Absolutely brilliant result! Steen Machine really living up to expectations, a masterstroke of a signing. The whole team though are putting in solid, consistent scores, that will make us very hard to beat. I really don't agree with the home team getting two double point rides either. When you take those scores out, it really shows the quality of this win. Sounds like a great meeting too, I must get down to Plymouth at some point.
  16. Be interesting to see how he goes next week.
  17. Maybe I'm reading more into it than what is there.
  18. It's been hinted at in the latest Berwick E-Newsletter that Redcar are going to take a look at Suchanek at next week's GP Qualifier. Anyone heard anything to back this up, or am I reading more into it than I should?
  19. Thomas Suchanek also gets mentioned in the newsletter I noticed...
