  1. For goodness sake, some people on here either cannot read, or are just out to make as much trouble as possible. From the Berwick statement, which is available at the link below: "It appears -- and we do not wish to breach confidences -- he is experiencing acute personal emotional problems which were severely compounded by a family telephone call during the meeting, which affected him to such an extent he felt no longer able to carry out his official duties." So, for anyone looking for the reason, it is quite clearly there. The poor guy was distressed, then received a phone call which obviously caused more problems. The statement clearly explains the events. It was up to Lawson to tweet whatever he wanted, it was also up to him to remove the post. It certainly was not for Berwick to in any way stoop to the low level that Lawson did. Hopefully he will learn from that. If anyone is actually interested in finding out the facts - rather than being sad little people tittle-tattling behind a computer screen - then the full statement is available via the link below. http://www.berwickbandits.co/article/bandits-boss-apologises
  2. Fingers crossed that Matej Kus is able to ride on Saturday, we need him, especially with Captain Wethers out. Could be a tough meeting.
  3. Agree Taffy, this thread needs to be taken down. It has been officially stated that the guy is having a difficult time (without going into too many details). A bit of respect, and back on to speedway is what is needed.
  4. Completely missed the point there. Obviously due to them getting a full understanding of the events, and posting up a very good response.
  5. Utter nonsense. Read the Berwick statement and show a bit of respect.
  6. Big loss if Kus is out for 7 days, he's really hitting form and going to bang in some big scored for us.
  7. A comprehensive statement has been made by the club, I think we should show some respect for the guy who was taken ill. On a separate note, it looks from the latest Bandits' newsletter that the club are planning some form of recompense for the fans?
  8. Well, your first post didn't get things off to a good start then. http://www.berwickbandits.co/article/bandits-boss-apologises
  9. Or, it might be because they actually know each other in real life? I know that sounds completely loopy, but it might just be possible...
  10. I love how people try to figure out if a poster is Dick Barrie when he clearly states that he doesn't use the forum!
  11. Pretty comprehensive statement, I would say. Seems like Lawson was well out of order... http://www.berwickbandits.co/article/bandits-boss-apologises
  12. By my watch, 21:29 is when the tapes went up for heat 10! It was a watch I bought from Taffy, make of that what you will...
  13. I agree Lawson needs to substantiate his statement and the grounds on which he publicly made it. Otherwise, he could get himself in an unpleasant situation.
  14. I think some people should be aware that there are several medical conditions that can make someone appear to be drunk when they are in fact not well. I've no idea what happened, but we shouldn't be so quick to shoot people down.
  15. Lawson has to be very careful, as what he published, if not accurate, is defamation of character: a serious offence.
  16. I think this meeting could go down in folklore. A "Do you remember the night...?" kind of thing! Hope bothy Matej and Mattey are OK, Konopoka made a great laydown to miss running into Matty.
  17. I completely agree with that, Taffy, my point also illustrates what you say in that if he continues his improved form, his average will indeed increase.
  18. For reference, this is the point I was illustrating, and Sarah is correct. Jim, if you can let me know what you would like me to expand on, I'll happily do so. Just don't ask me to expand my waistline!
  19. If that were the case, Taffy, home come Kus's average has dropped, yet his form has recently improved?
  20. It is completely logical, you just don't understand. In fact, it is clearly so far above yer heid that you cannot come up with anything to question it!
  21. Well Jim, you said that I had stated 27 was a higher average than 28, now I have shown that not to be the case. Now you have been foond oot and have resorted to childish retorts. I'm still waiting for your pertinent questions! Or a retraction, but that will never happen!
  22. And what was my maths education? Anyway, you have spectacularly either mis-understood, or are just plainly without the mental capacity to even debate with thought-out response.
  23. Still not told me what is wrong with it Jim, by default it must be correct!
  24. There, we go, you can't say what is incorrect, therefore ye dinnae ken!
