  1. According to the Berwick newsletter, £10 entry tomorrow night. Not bad!
  2. My word! Is there no end to your skills? You now claim to be a meteorologist!
  3. Some great passing from the home team last night too. Plenty of entertainment considering the margin of victory.
  4. You know the Bandits are doing things right on and off track when the threads start missing some of the usual suspects!
  5. Cracking meeting, we should be full of confidence for Tuesday after that performance. Back to business as usual for Matty Wethers! Matej Kus is in sensational form at the moment, he reminds me of Adrian Rymel when he was at his best. I'd go as far as saying he is our best rider at the moment: and the other 6 are not too bad!
  6. I was at the opposite side of the track, so couldn't see who caused the incidents. All I can say is that it certainly didn't look like Summers bailed-out as he hit the fence very hard. Did Pijper make contact with Vissing when he went down?
  7. At the last count, in Berwick alone: Football, Rugby, Golf, Cricket. Worse for Berwick is that Football and Rugby are on the same day, whereas Newcastle less so affected. Big successful theatre in Berwick, which is also competing on Saturdays. I think the point Neil was making, however, was the visibility of the sport in the clubs' surrounding areas. Unless I have misunderstood his post. Berwick excels at this, the sport has great local visibility. One wonders how the city teams would do with such visibility?
  8. That was a great meeting around one of my favourite tracks. The Bandits were unlucky not to take 4 points away from this. The fact that we were able to win comfortably with a very rare off-night from Claus bodes well for the rest of the season. There were a lot of hard-won points from the Bandits who looked competitive all the way through. Whilst I feel for Liam Carr, bringing Alex in undoubtedly won us the three points tonight. He followed Doolan home for a 5-1 against Pijper and Skidmore in heat 6, from which point we never looked back.
  9. Even for this forum's standards, I am staggered by some of the recent posts.
  10. Good to see us having a decent season, isn't it?
  11. Some interesting news in the latest newsletter.
  12. I think the water would have worked its way down anyway. I am totally sure that the promotion would have had the meeting on if it was at all feasible. Clearly wasn't, I look forward to coming back down as it looks a cracking setup.
  13. Yeah 3rd bend had a mini lake on it when I looked. Unbelievable luck with the weather this year. Fine all afternoon in Scunny, then the heavens opened just in time for the meeting. I'm hoping it does the opposite in Berwick today. The setup looked great, so I hope to be back soon and see some racing!
  14. It's going to be an excellent arena when that is complete, and I didn't mind the result as the racing was excellent. I'm looking forward to coming back. I had the pleasure of being introduced to Morten Risager, what a cracking guy!
  15. I got a close look at track. Not a hope of the meeting going on and it was still peeing down at the time. Bloody rain
  16. What a great stadium, track, and welcome at Ipswich. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit: apart from the result. Yes, Ipswich were good, the meeting was very entertaining (again apart from the result), and a friendlier welcome I have never experienced. Anyone not been to Foxhall, I highly recommend you get along. A bit disappointed in a couple of our lads, but Steen and Clause had good nights and Matej Kus put in a solid performance, Doolan battled and wa worth much more. Just a strong Witches flying on allcylinders. I met Matej Kus, he is a great guy and he put a decent shift today;
  17. An almost prophetic post there...or maybe you just know your speedway?
  18. Looking forward to my first visit to Ipswich, I'm not going to make any predictions!
  19. Not forgetting Young Carr can go round The 'Dale too. I like being underdogs.
  20. Pffftt. That newsletter has gone and scuppered my prediction, but Rusty has been going well recently. Hope Claus is OK.
  21. Remember we have some ex-Monarchs in our lineup, not least of our No 1. It's far from over.
