Give me some parameters, I shall attempt an answer!

I've not got as far as thinking about winning meetings, yet, I'm still too excited about having Barker as our No1. Fair point, as I have heard Bert Harkins's name mentioned recently.
-
I would have liked to have seen Jake Allen, but the powers that be have said no. I really don't know much about the workings of all that stuff so haven't really got an opinion on the whys and why nots (shock!). What is still the standout for me in the close season is that we have signed Ben Barker. Ben Barker! Roll on March
-
A lot of people behind the scenes who have been doing their bit since I went as a lad in the early 80s: and long before. Without a doubt there would be no speedway if it wasn't for those folks' efforts.
-
Dennis is a legend!
-
You're right!
-
I'm surly.

Oh, I agree that is certainly here for opinion, and even to be critical. After all, one can learn a lot from criticism. Constant criticism from a single source, however, become very grating. Praise, well that seems to be a stranger to some! If you are looking to advise, then why not volunteer as many others do? I mean that sincerely, if you have something to offer the club, why not offer it. I have thought about the ignore, but only very recently as your constantly negative tone and - some have said privately - increasingly vindictive approach is really starting to get very wearing. I mean when you get posters, who are above all the garbage I get into, who are starting to get fed up, you must surely start to have a think about why you are posting on Berwick threads? Why put yourself through all the pain and misery it clearly causes you? It's an honest question. You seem to just want to have a go at everything, including riders now.
-
Keep the advice and criticism coming, there's a good lad!
-
Last season he looked one of the most comfortable Berwick riders I have seen around Armadale. He seems to like the track. I expect Alex to improve a fair bit this season. Potential is there.
-
I have no idea what you mean by that
-
You reckon?
-
Your reply made complete sense to me. There are a lot of different permutations still there to speculate over at the moment. If Jake is on a 7, then I guess it does change things a lot. I've no idea what will happen if that is the case.
-
I don't get the weak reserves argument either, Alex is an experienced PL rider, very professional, and will have top notch equipment. We don't know who the other reserve will be yet, so predictions of a weak reserve pairing are speculative.
-
I think Sargeant and Palovaara have a fair bit of potential. I also think Alex is easily capable of putting a point on his average.
-
We don't know the full lineup, hence the phrase "taking shape". Henning Bager, now I'm sure Peter announced him as one of Berwick's best ever signings at the time. He did not bad for us, if I remember rightly.
-
Fair dos, time to carry on discussing how our team is taking shape. I'm surprised there is not more fuss over Ben Barker, he's one of the biggest signings the club has ever made!
-
Agree, as I have agreed with you elsewhere
-
Agree, he never really looked at ease around Berwick, but banged in some big away scores. Definitely a talented rider.
-
The cheap shot was your previous post, and no you didn't refer to the crash, you referred to the rider. Why didn't you with Matty well in your post rather than the sarcastic, sniping comment. You were well out of order with that. Just have the balls to admit it.
-
I wonder what Matty thinks about that? An utterly disgraceful post. Think about his crash when he was busting a gut for us, and then he came back and saw the season out when everyone was thankful that he wasn't as seriously injured as it looked. I have complete admiration and respect for the guy who gave nothing other than 100% for us. I don't normally take this forum seriously, but that post is totally out of order: reprehensible.
-
I agree, and around a few away tracks.
-
Finished 3rd in the British Final and was 1st reserve for Cardiff GP. Not a bad signing for a wee place like Berwick I'd say!
-
Kind of off the current topic of discussion, but how good a signing is Ben Barker? Regardless of the differing (yet valid) views on the structure of the team, he's one heck of a signing and certainly has caused a lot of excitement offline in the real world.
-
I agree, it seems to be a pretty good deal for £20: but then we all know what I think about £20 It's a positive way of offering something extra and helping to support the club so we can see the 50 years landmark.
