  1. I'd actually take the whole team for next season with JPB at 7. Become a solid team.
  2. Close between him and Jye. Nick Morris a pretty decent signing too!!!
  3. I didn't say I introduced them, in fact I said it was due to the work the promotion are doing. Here, Screm, you mentioned you were taking your girlfriend along a couple of season ago, did she come back? I always find it interesting to get the views of people who are new to the sport.
  4. The groups I am referring to are over 18, and do pay. Younger folk are getting into the sport in the area, and that is a product of the promotional work being done.
  5. Speak for yourself =D Hang, on...I'm not that far away right enough Definitely groups of younger fans appearing. Whether the old school want to admit it or not, it is noticeable.
  6. I think the focus has to be getting in new fans who don't care about track, averages, etc. I have a few young relations and their friends who have started coming this season and love it. They don't fill in a programme, think nothing of the track. They just enjoy the racing and keeping track of the score via the announcements. Getting youngsters into the sport is the future, not pandering to us old farts. I think Berwick are doing very well in this respect.
  7. Another great meeting, Nick Morris was outstanding and JPB also showing real potential. Good to see another decent turnout, proves that getting the entertainment right on track brings people back!
  8. What a great signing Howe has been. Solid as a rock. Total professional Great to see Jye proving a load of idiots wrong this season. The guy has some real talent. He almost reminds me of Ivan Mauger, he was written off in the UK after a poor first outing. He did not bad later on
  9. So a forward thinking promotion, who have made massive steps forward in promoting the sport, and also taking the entertainment to another level, get completely shafted by the ruling body. It is crazy that due to an injury, we will not be able to put out a full team for the rest of the season. Totally nuts.
  10. Phew! That was a cracking meeting. Shocking decision by the ref in heat 14, though. My faith in speedway is restored
  11. Morris rode like a man possessed in 13 and 15. Tough to beat in that form. Number 8 would have been handy for Lions tonight.
  12. What a cracking meeting, accidents aside. Thought Leicester have a good setup and track gave plenty of racing. Unbelievable luck for the Lions, but I did enjoy Morris, especially his rides in heats 13 + 15. Nearly as good as a Bandits meeting 😊
  13. First visit tonight, looking forward to it! Most importantly, what food is available? 😊
  14. I just find it hard to see it as a competitive sport after that. Normally you'd expect both teams wanting to go out for a win. Speedway so often seems to be exceptional in this case. Had their adrenaline rush, got their money. They're happy.
  15. I actually feel sorry for the guys trying to put on a show, who get stuffed by many - but not all- of the riders.
  16. Surely plenty of time to do some track heading. Something doesn't add up...
  17. I've never seen so many p'd off faces leaving a sporting event
  18. Totally agree. A heat 15 decider was the perfect end for a great meeting. Or at least it would have been. Feel completely cheated out of my £15
  19. That was just such a slap in the face to all fans, it's impossible to be supportive of the support. It shows where the root of so many of the problems are - riders. Would you have seen Granty or Cribby refusing to ride because the track was a bit wet after a shower? Yep, I think we are in 100% agreement with what happened tonight. Still fizzing yet. It's ripped out all my enthusiasm for the sport.
  20. Feel as if us fans have totally have the urine taken out of us tonight. Utter farce that heat 15 wasn't run. What rubbed salt into the wound was riders coming on the mic and saying how dangerous it would have been to ride: after just having 2 heats in pouring rain!!!! Very patronising. 35 minutes until curfew, no water lying on the track, clear skies, not a single bit of track grading to even try to get heat 15 on. It's hard to take the sport seriously after that - I've suddenly lost a massive amount of interest in it
