  1. Can't disagree with you on any of that Taffy.
  2. Still plenty of time for Claus to get back to fitness, I would hope.
  3. Especially with the form he was showing last season.
  4. Aye, Taffy hasn't mentioned Claus yet. He was on great form until his accident last season.
  5. Sorry, I should have added, by proxy. Looking forward to your next authoritative post
  6. Actually, he did. Maybe I shouldn't listen to him?
  7. Yes. Well, if he took the first post seriously, I might as well keep him happy!
  8. Here, are we not getting a "praise be to that" from you for Matty's signing this year?
  9. "Oh, please, please, please can someone give me some praise. Please?" OK, here you go, good for you suggesting a rider that would fit Taffy's hypothetical team. Well done son, keep up the good work! If I could give you a sticker, I would. In reality, it should be credit to the club for making a great signing.
  10. Just seen this. Welcome back Matty! http://berwickbandits.co/article/shielfield-storm-brewing
  11. Exactly, he is always trying to steal the thunder of promoters. I'm sure the Workington promotion thank him for that!
  12. Something tells me that this is another Taffy special!
  13. So even more responsible than being responsible?
  14. I guess we will never know the full story. The deals will likely be variations of all the things you have pointed out. I think Taffy's post about Promotions being responsible for getting sponsorship in place for riders is one of the biggest piles of mince that I have ever heard. Of course, it's not a bad thing if Promotions can help with this, but certainly not their responsibility.
  15. Great signing, especially if he is starting at reserve. Taffy might get his strength-in-depth team, along with his slick-with-grip track in 2016.
  16. Bandits not hanging around! http://berwickbandits.co/article/anders
  17. Some tasty looking teams getting posted up. Out of them all, I'd love to see TJ back. He was brilliant last year. Hopefully Doolan back for another year as an outstanding Captain.
  18. I think you are being a bit naive there.
  19. No, I was just joining the discussion. I thought it was unfair to expect formal representation, however, since they financially supported the club then it was not an unreasonable assumption. I stand corrected, as the man in orthopaedic shoes once said.
  20. Just a point of interest since the absence of promoters at the even has been brought up. I always thought the organisation was to support riders, and to help fans travel to away meetings. Based on that understanding, I wouldn't have expected the promotion to feel obliged to attend: at least in a formal capacity. With reference to the other club (not sports as I have no idea how any other clubs or sports work with this), we raise funds 100% for the club, not the players. Neither way is right or wrong, I'm merely making an observation which pertains to the discussion. Thank you Taffy. That makes it different, if they do financially support the club, then one would expect a representative in a formal capacity. Good to hear that they have done that through such testing times
  21. Forgive me if I have misunderstood anything here, but was there not a statement from the supporters' club early last seasons that their aim was to support riders? I could be wrong. The only reason I am asking is another sports supporters club that I am a member of explicitly passes all funds directly to the club. Maybe there is some confusion with either their communication, or their title?
