  1. Oooft! Some very strange comments on here
  2. Spot on Screm, Kus had a cracking season with us. And he was consistent. He also won a lot of crucial heats late on, many when he was still at reserve.
  3. Quite an interesting article. The need to 2 doctors has been identified, and I'm sure will be in place. Which will make a huge difference if (hopefully not) needed. Also interesting to read that the club's view is that they need to be financially independent. Really all quite positive stuff. http://berwickbandits.co/article/bandits-boss-buys-ambulance
  4. Another positive move for next season. This is all really impressive close season stuff.
  5. A lot of desperate stuff on here, and nothing to do with the speedway
  6. I'm sure it is important, perhaps not crucial. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong! It's hard to think of anything to say at the moment as everything seems to be going so well.
  7. I would imagine that the business model would not be dependent on sponsorship, so nothing really too concerning at this point. Riders should surely seek their own sponsorship, with the club playing a secondary role, helping wherever they can?
  8. Speedway at Berwick for less than £25 per month is the fact of it, if you choose the monthly payment option. Not quite sure how simply that can be put? Certainly not spin, and surely can't be a bad thing to offer alternative ways to pay for season tickets? Deary me.
  9. Yes, but where did I say it was cheaper? You live in your own wee world and read whatever the voices in your head are saying, it would appear. Please feel free to correct me and quote where I say it is cheaper.
  10. And what is the monthly cost if you pay per meeting? OK, I'll make it a bit clearer for you: it's not so much cost saving as smoothing the cashflow. I know some football clubs offer something similar. It will work for some people, I guess, good to see the club are still trying new ideas. As Black Angus says, it is also great to see the commitment to the younger fans continuing. On a final point, I didn't say "Rocket Science", I said rocket surgery. Two very different things
  11. Erm, if you take the payment option then all you pay is £24.99 per month. Thus, you get speedway for that monthly amount. It's not rocket surgery! I'm sure everyone is able to work out that if they are likely to miss meetings then season tickets might not be for them. Sigh.
  12. Bandits prices unchanged. Good to see they are still going with kinds under 16 free. Personally, I think it is very important in terms of encouraging the next generation of fans. Interestingly, the are also offering speedway for under £25 a month. That's a new one on me. Looks great! http://berwickbandits.co/
  13. I would say that this thread usually goes quiet when there is nothing for the usual suspects to moan or snipe about. So, things must be going well!
  14. Not quite sure what you are trying to say there, Taffy?
  15. Oooft! The Glasgow pricing is pretty damn hefty!
  16. Seems to be the general feeling. There's quite a buzz which is great considering a lot of us thought we were going to see the end of Berwick Speedway. Big thanks to all the guys that have stepped up to the mark, and to the Promotion for bringing Scott Courtney in as team manager, and for getting a solid team in place so quickly. Nothing to do apart from look forward to next season!
  17. Likewise, I think we are very fortunate to have a group of people prepared to keep speedway running in Berwick, and at a decent level too
  18. Well, that's hard to disagree with! Anyway, back to speedway. What do you make of the new investment? Do you think they have put the big bucks in for TJ? All very positive, I think.
  19. That was to demonstrate to certain people who think I am "in the know" that, actually, I am far from being "in the know". If you you know what I mean.
  20. Interestingly it did, for some, until he strung some bait! Just saying...
  21. I have to admit, I read it the same way as Fromafar. The omission of "had", and the use of "could also be" were the basis of my interpretation. Had Seb not been riding in Sweden for a bit towards the end of last season too?
