  1. I agree that would be a choice final and hope you are correct but think it will be 1st Richardson 2nd Nicholls 3rd Bridger 4th Kennett.
  2. Ist Tai 2nd Lewis 3rd Darcy. Will be coming over for this one providing weather is ok.
  3. It was lovely to meet you again Rabbit and as I've always said about your posts...the voice of reason and fairness.
  4. Yes it was cold, yes it was dusty ( no fault of Poole) and yes it was a long drive home but I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the meeting. Skorniki did look untouchable in the heats but a classy final bend from Ben Barker in the final was the climax of some exciting racing. Very impressed with Jankowski, Barker and Piszcz. Although some of the others did not perform as I would have expected, it was a first meeting so well done to all for putting on such a great show.I have tried my hardest to warm to Lewis Bridger but he always does something stupid like heat 8 when Ben beat him and in heat 20 causing 3 riders off. Great to get a methanol fix so early and pleased to meet several from this forum. The only negative for me was the £3 for the programme.
  5. I'm coming down on the Saturday staying in Southampton and then to Poole on the Sunday. Look forward to meeting some new faces.
  6. I am going for Kenneth Bjerre to shock everyone tonight and win this.
  7. Well done to Nicki but have to say it was so boring. Not a good advert for the sport. I may be in the minority but enjoyed the GP's more when they had 24 riders and two were eliminated in a last chance saloon before the serious stuff started. There were always surprise people getting through to the latter stages and not this "let's get 8 points and make the semi's"
  8. QUOTE (Rob B @ Aug 3 2008, 11:13 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Best Pairs is two weeks today, yet no lineups have been announced etc?I wonder who will be Peterborough's best pair now. (probably shouldn't have asked as wait for Orion's reply)
  9. Well done to Kenneth for qualifying. It proves he was correct to race when not fully fit. Hopefully he will now get stronger before the final. Pity about the Brits.
  10. Got my copy at Peterborough on Thursday. Great read on a great person. Terry was my favourite rider in my King's Lynn days of the 60's and 70's. He still looks in great shape for his age. The whole magazine brought back many memories. Well done to all.
  11. Really enjoyed the music and as others have said, Land of hope and glory was excellent. Particularly liked tie me kangaroo down when Crumpy nearly came off. Well done.
  12. I've put my money on Hans. He looked fast and mean on Thursday and the track should suit him.
  13. What a brilliant call Nobby. Just got home, oh well down the pub now.
  14. Have to say that I always fancied Hans and Kenneth to win this but on tonights performance Hans would be better with Danny.
  15. Have to say I thought this thread was a load of rubbish but when I passed the A14 the queues were enormous with Johnno flags in most cars and air horns belting out. Wll it ever subside.
  16. from where I sat it looked as though David got his foot caught in Martin's wheel. There were mechanics running about with spanners in their hands. David was taken off the track with his ankle bandaged. Craig hit the fence very hard in the other nasty crash and was down for several minutes. He had his legs strapped up but was conscious. That's all I can tell you.
  17. Jack Hargreaves and very good he was too. Just got home from this afternoon's meeting.
  18. I'll be there as well. This is my first visit to Telford and looking forward to it.
  19. His name was Mason Parsons. Great little chap who won over all the crowd.
  20. Really enjoyed myself this afternoon although it did get a little cold towards the end. Well done to the Panthers and especially Kenneth for breaking the track record. I loved watching the junior races. my wife loved little Mason Parsons. Is Billy Bales any relation to the Billy Bales. I have to say that I was impressed with Robert Lambert. Wonder if we will be talking about them in 10 years or so. Finally an excellent firework display. Well done to all at Mildenhall.
  21. Really looking forward to coming across to this meeting. I think the Panthers should win this quite comfortably. Great weather for it as well.
  22. Scott was certainly lucky to get away with that but the only one I blame is the ref. Every time he officiates, he makes some weird decisions and yet still gets chosen to do the GP's.
