  1. I just need to clarify, you are being sarcastic aren't you? God forbid if you're serious...
  2. Nicki took Walaseks line by coming across him. If GW kept the throttle on (as entitled to since he was leading) he would have been collected by NP and put into the fence. I suggest you watch it again, typical NP move by all accounts. You don't have to hit someone for it to be an unsportsmanlike move.
  3. Never mind Hans Andersen, I think Hans Nielsen could still do a better job than some you mentioned. (Subedei) He would have certainly done better than that useless lump of a 6x world champion...
  4. Thats only because there are 10 teams in the championship which amounts to 20 drivers. If you've been watching formula1 as long as i have then you'll remember around 12 years ago there were 26 places for the cars on the grid, yet 34 drivers (17 teams) turned up each GP weekend looking to qualify. They had to get within 107% of pole position to qualify as well only a few years back, so they used to have to qualify, just like the speedway. But as with everything money has ruined the sport, hence the lack of teams in F1. Also speedway cannot be compared to F1 due to formula1 having been run like the way it is since 1950 (if you want in you set up a team and pay your entrance fee). Speedway since 1934 up until 1994 has always had a qualification system that allowed every rider the chance to go to the world final, now though thats changed due to money talking rather than commen sense. Jim.
  5. Well to be honest how can we decide who's good enough when there is no qualification system in place to determine that anyway?
  6. The Whole GP seriessucks anyway! I wouldn't waste too much energy being annoyed. I mean what kind of competition allows for 8 riders to automatically qualify for nextyear, with the 7 remaining places going to riders hand selected by the board? Utter tosh. We've had the GP for 10years now and its time it was abandoned for the World final format again, where riders have to qualify and earn their place, Sky will still have meetings to cover like the Nordic Final and British Final etc so they'll still fill their quota. The GP's are just plain crud.
  7. Get rid of it all together i say. I personally prefer the world finals meeting format than the GP's. When you think of it we'll still get the same amount of meetings if they covered the Nordic final, British final etc etc and all the qualifying stages. Then the World final would be a huge climax to finish off with. I would like to see this personally. I can't stand the GP's. They ruin league speedway with riders leaving their faster bikes abroad for the GP that coming weekend, as well as not being able to fit in fixtures due to Gp's at the weekends. Rubbish.
