Hi Yesterdays Man, I was not aware of any censoring on this thread. I do not subscribe to name calling myself and wish that others didn't either. I suppose the thread has drawn better attention to the Reg Fearman pages because of the controversy.
-
Yes and good ole Len Silver has the right name too. I think we should drop the Jewish names thread before we upset someone, too late! I have already done it. The thread is about publicising the Reg Fearman pages on the website afterall
-
Hi Tsunami, I never knew that Gil was Jewish, I suppose there is a clue in his surname (No! I don't mean finch!). Another fact that may have escaped many Newcastle fans was that Reg Fearman had a 50% stake in Newcastle when we reopened in 1961

The Reg Fearman pages of The Defunct Website have Reg's Story, Jack Gate's 80th Birthday Party, Igor Plechanov's visit to the UK, The low down on Reading, Reg and Ivan Mauger, Alf Weedon's 80th Birthday and the life of Eric Chitty. There is a lot more to come from Reg on these webpages so please visit the site and if you want to "speak" to Reg via the website, don't hesitate email me.

In the late 20's and 1930's cigarette cards often featured speedway. They are now a good source of information. The cards are now highly collectible and they look brilliant scanned onto a website. I hope to make the Defunct Site the sole website for these cards. So have a look at the Card Sets page of the site and be entertained. If anyone has any cards the site would like to hear from you email me Defunct Site

Hi Reading Fans, Strange as it must seem to you, Smallmead is now a Defunct Venue and I have started a Reading page on the Defunct Tracks website. Ex Promoter Reg Fearman is currently looking through his Reading memorabilia and will shortly be contributing to the page. I would like to hear from fans with items they can scan to make the Reading page better than any other teams in the A-Z So come on send me an email jskinner06@btinternet.com

I feel as owner of the site Reg is contributing to that I should respond. Firstly Neil Middleditch has done so much for the sport, let me say well done Middlo and keep it up. Reg Fearman also did so much for the sport, introduced new venues and chaired the BSPA. Reg is big enough to answer any criticisms but we think an Internet Forum is not the appropriate place to do that. The original post on this this website was made to let speedway fans know that some of Reg's personal photo's and thoughts have been captured on the Defunct Speedway website, please have a look and let me (John) know what you think.

I have 5 webpages showing dozens of old Speedway Bikes. To improve the webpages, my knowledge of the machinery needs to be backed up by a speedway mechanic. If you can help send me an email jskinner06@btinternet.com
