  1. I wrote them down as they were announced at Wroclaw but it is difficult to hear sometimes. They also flashed up on the scoreboard but did not stay for long.

  3. Twaddle. Crump beat all of your best 4 on the way to the final so it doesn't matter what happened in the final therfore any fair minded speedway person cannot deny that he deserved his chance albeit fortunate in his semi I will agree.
  4. Wait until Ole gets to grips with the Reading track for the World Cup
  5. We are staying at Holiday Inn - stayed there two years ago. Convenient for city centre. We took a taxi from airport and also to stadium but had difficulty afterwards as we did not know the number of trams going back to city. Can anyone help ? Travelled via Warsaw and stayed at Holiday Inn Warsaw as well. The Wroclaw hotel organised the Warsaw hotel taxi to meet us at the airport which was brilliant. This time we are flying from East Midlands direct.
  6. We are trying Stansted to Bydgoszcz this year, Friday to Sunday. Bit annoyed about the time changes but the flights were cheap so are sticking with them. Have not received any notification from Ryanair though. We flew Wizzair from Luton to Gdansk last year and took the train down. There are plenty of trains and the website is good. We took the bus from the airport to the railway station, along with a Polish rider who had been injured riding for Oxford and was going home. His partner spoke to the driver and we did not have to pay but it took a long time. Used a taxi going back and it was cheap - much better. The railfare was about £6 but it was very busy as it was the end of the Polish holidays - if it is busy it is worth paying an extra £1/£2 for first class. Bought tickets at the station. No problems and really enjoyed it. Understand Gdansk is a nice place if you have some time to spare. Also no problem getting an early train back (Kevin).
  7. Anyone organizing a trip to Slovenia ? Do not mind booking flight but have problems getting to hotels/track etc.
  8. Thanks for all the help on Bydgoszcz - sounds like it will be a good experience ! Papa B, we too are returning on the Monday am flight to Luton, bit worried about getting back to Gdansk that early in the morning though. Perhaps best to stay all night in the bar. Looks like Sunday will be sightseeing in Bydgoszcz!
  9. As a "new" member but an "old" speedway fan just wondered if anyone could help. We are going to Bydgoszcz a week on Friday, flying from Luton to Gdansk and then taking the train. My friend has been before but it ws an organised trip and she cannot remember much about it - probably the vodka! We will have a taxi from the airport to the railway station but the train site has several stations listed for Gdansk. Does anyone know which one we have to ask for please? We are staying at the Pod Orlem - can we walk to the stadium? If not, is it best to use a tram, taxi etc? Can anyone recommend places to eat and drink? I know you mention the other hotels - are they the best places to use and are they close to one another? We have done Warsaw/Wroclaw so we are quite good at sign language.
