You're wasting your time fella, I've appealed to Starman numerous times to change the way he posts as it reflects very badly on not just him but all connected to Poole Speedway. I've even had a private conversation with him about it to try and explain things in a calm environment, but alas he just doesn't/cannot comprehend things. He's either thicker than thicky the thick stick insect on thicky land or just plain loopy
-
Just one cotton picking minute there BW...I admitted I was incorrect and duly posted such. I didn't slither away or back. So up yer chuffster!
-
You're wrong about Holder. He didn't finish 8th in the world for nowt. Holder had a poor season (by his standards) for reasons which have been well documented. If he's in the same position this time next year you may have a point then, but not now.
-
"Former World Champion Holder (pictured) and Watt, who will re-assume the club captaincy having won four league titles in Pirates colours, have been selected from the heat-leader list by promoter Matt Ford, and they join Kyle Newman as returnees from 2015." Extract taken from a news article posted today on the BSPA site. So both are on the 'fictitious' Heal Leader List.

Never gonna happen!

At the end of the day I'm a realist so if I'm proven incorrect then I will always gladly credit those that prove me to be so. I agree it's a shame certain other Poole 'supporters' don't do the same. Starman (and RP) for once do the honourable thing. Ta!
-
I wasn't aware of that article as I don't read the SS so I stand corrected
-
Give it up man, it was a quote by MF not Holder so stop banging your drum. Holder himself (to the best of my knowledge) has never publicly stated he would ride anywhere other than Poole. What MF says or doesn't say is irrelevant.
-
I'm not defending him, read my post again!!
-
Unfortunately I have said the same on here for quite a while. I myself am a very passionate Poole supporter, however I can see the bigger picture and do not condone many of our promotions antics. If only Starman would drop his blue stained guard a little and stop kissing Matt Ford's butt, maybe, just MAYBE his posts might be taken a little more seriously and the daily pastings would at least ease up.. Then again, pigs might fly too! I could tell you that 'so and so' said anything, it doesn't prove they actually did. Matt Ford has made a lot of questionable quotes in various places for years, so why should this be considered differently? Chris has stated countless times he only wants to ride for Poole and that is good enough for me.
-
I've never heard him or seen a quote from him saying that. However, he has countlessly (again very recently) stated he would only ride for Poole in the UK. As for Darcy, he only joined Swindon mid-season to get himself back on a bike ASAP as Poole didn't want to break-up what turned out to be the EL winning team. That is it. I can also guarantee that he would be with us in 2016 if he hadn't of had his devastating accident. (Stay strong #43). Just to be pedantic, this is NOT a quote from Chris himself is it? Spot on Skids
-
So two more 'heat leaders' still to be announced....Holder & Watt maybe? Both Poole through & through.
-
Anyone who doubts Holder will be at Poole (unless he gives the UK a miss) next season and beyond has been ignoring plenty of quotes from Chris himself stating he wants to remain at Poole as long as Poole want him. All this 'he needs to go somewhere else' cobblers is just that, cobblers. One mediocre year, for a number of well known reasons, does not a poor rider make. Not having Darcy with us riding is sad enough, losing Chris too? Nah.
-
It has naff all to do with Swindon...but you're on this thread...so I don't wonder why
-
And how silly of us not knowing who is on what fictitious 'list' (of which there seem to be a few at the moment) the BSPA and clubs keep referring to! Ahem, I was trying to make a valid point, there was no bickering on my part Ms C and the saucy one
-
Cobblers, Newman is in a reserve berth as it is best for the whole of the Poole team building for 2016 bearing in mind he will more than likely move up into the top 5 after 4 meetings. Coventry have completely and utterly missed a trick on this one with Garrity. So as you say, anything else is complete rubbish.

Tai Should Never Ride For Team Gb Again
chris4gillian replied to robert72's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Tai is 100% a Brit. That is a fact (not my opinion). End of. -
Not a chance

Absolute crap! I'm always saying that Matt Ford often does some very 'questionable' things....in fact if you go back couple of pages you'll see I said it just yesterday! On top of that Starman and I often lock horns as he defends Matt Ford to the hilt whereas I do not. We both love Poole speedway but view our promotion from different angles. So care to review your statement?
-
Well I blame it on the fact that most promotions are incapable of building competitive teams of which Matt Ford is the master. As has been said plenty of times, ALL teams start off even the second the points limit is set so if you feel the need to blame anyone it should be the 7 other promotions.
-
Not yet he's not! Once again, not yet we don't!
-
Nonsense! Every team start off on an even keel the second the team building limit has been set. Given all of Matt Ford's faults (and I do think he's done some very questionable things over the years) he is the master of building a team with strength in depth year on year. It's not his fault if the other promotions are incapable of doing the same. I wouldn't exactly call Kings Lynn's team weak the past two seasons, however they just haven't been good enough for whatever reason. At the moment any team can sign any rider they wish, just as we can. So stop yer bleating fella.
-
Fair enough, but this Poole supporter has never said or posted that
-
NOPE, Darcy (as far as I am aware) has never said he wouldn't ride anywhere else...it has been Noddy that has said that many times. He wants to be back again in 2016 as has been quoted as recently on the GP web site a couple of days ago. http://speedwaygp.com/news/article/4577/chris-seeks-status-quo
-
I didn't say we wouldn't be challenging...it's the QUALITY of rider we'll be tracking that disappoints me, and a lot of the other teams are in a much worse state than us! waihekeaces1 understood what I was saying
