Should Tai Woffinden Ride For Team Gb ?

Did you not watch Coventry v Swindon last night? Matt Bates commented that Tai has really helped him with his throttle control. Another case of Tai helping an up and coming British youngster. So if that's not the mark of someone who wants to help British speedway I don't know what is..! -

To say that you need to ride in your home country to qualify to ride for your country is rather ridiculous. Does Gareth Bale play for a Welsh club? Does Luis Suarez play for a Uruguayan club? Does Lionel Messi play for an Argentinian club? Does Christiano Ronaldo play for a Portuguese club? The answer is no. Tai is no different. That's the end of it so keeping this thread going is pointless. p.s. Dazzafl - yes he should ride for Team GB in 2017 and (barring injuries) for years to come no matter where he plies his trade. -

I called him months ago....serial lies, threats and general garbage and abuse isn't acceptable. But as you say, most of us just laughed at 'it'. -
Oh come on, he's hilariously bad...which is his appeal.
-
Is he STILL doing that? Must pop over for a chuckle as I tend to steer clear these days except for the updates.

WTF are you banging on about? After all of the absolute nonsense the serial liar was posting I make a passing comment that he now has a custard pie in his mushki which you perceive as gloating? He stated numerous times he shouldn't (NOT couldn't) be riding for Team GB so I have no idea what point you're 'trying' to make. -
You think? I'd personally say he's plateaued at his level.
-
So I wasn't far wrong was I foamfence? I stated that 31 or 32 points would be more than enough and we got silver with 32!

This is the first chance I've had to come online since Saturday's fantastic SWC Final. I'd just like to echo many of you on here and say a huge well done to Tai and the rest of the boys for an outstanding effort. So as we all (well most of us) have stated from the outset, YES Tai should have ridden for Team GB and he's now proven things. Without him we would most definitely have come last. For me he was ultra professional throughout on Saturday and it was clear to see that he rides for GB with a huge amount of pride so that's gotta be the biggest custard pie ever in the face of the forums currently absent porky pier! LOVE IT! p.s. Doyley's comments were very disappointing, if Team GB were 'very weak' then the Aussies must be woeful...which we know they're not. Rather silly thing to have said. -
That's been posted so many times now but some just don't seem to comprehend things. OMFG! Is robert72 back with a new account?
-
I know If you really believe that he has been equal in his lambastation on this and other threads then that's your prerogative, I however do not.
-
I'll gladly pass it to you so you can stick it over your head! Why are you always so unpleasant? Have you been taking lessons from Sidney as you've become the forum miserable sod in his absence?! Another example of your heart warming style.
-
Wrong, I'll prove it.... The highlighted bit is your only mention of Lambert, the rest of the post is aimed at Tai. Another post aimed SOLELY at Tai with no mention of Lambert at all. Selective posting to make some type of point. Game, set and match...back of the net...case conclusively proven.
-
Utter nonsense, come on me luv you're better than that
-
Agreed again as James is/was the weakest rider of the Holder siblings and that's the reason why Matt Ford never signed him. If I recall correctly he did have a go round Wimborne Road a couple of years ago, but he was way off the pace of Chris at the time.

That just proves that 'he' (I won't post my now custom name for him) is the cause of things. This thread is already a fresh of breath air without him and it's only been a day or so -
No, he hasn't. He's focussed on Tai and mentioned Lambert in a softer fashion.
-
Oops! lol. Of course he will, Tai is just a natural talent. As has already been posted more than once, it wasn't an official practice in any way, shape or form. It was a late notice open session for those members of Team GB that were available. Tai and Lambert had previous engagements. I don't see you lambasting Lambert though....more double standards Shovlar!

In addition to BWitcher's reply to you SS, I'd like to add that Tai Woffinden is arguably the best rider in the world at the moment and one of the reasons he is, is because he (like others such as Hancock) can adapt to new tracks and new conditions extremely quickly. He is a naturally talented rider that can do that and there's only a handful of those about these days. Yes, he can also go the other way at times and get it wrong, but that's what the practice on the day is for! It only takes a few laps to get a feel for things and he'll get that on the day. So in light of that, what's the issue??
