That must be a rhetorical question, given how they have run the sport over the past 15 years or so.

Nice odds from BWin yesterday - 3/5 on a KL win against B'Ham. Others were around 1/3

Saw Per break the Reading track record (against Coventry if memory serves me well) and it was an absolutely faultless, wheel perfect four laps. Truly great ride, shame about how it all ended for him

I called Sportingbet and they will not be offering odds on Elite League or eliteserien matches for the foreseeable future - might be somthing to do with the takeover. Bet Victor most certainly had odds on Tuesday as I backed Vetlanda +10 and Piraterna +4. As for Wednesday, well I had bets with Coral on both the Brum and KL meetings and used Ladbrokes for in-play betting on the Brum meeting

Replace Lindgren with Nicki Ped - loyalty works both ways.

World Cup Race Off - 18th July 2013
ABS replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
So, in a nutshell, the sooner the new stadium at Belle Vue comes to fruition, the better. This is going to be styled on the old Hyde Road / Polish tracks and will give us a facility where we can develop British talent. Getting a maximum around Lakeside/Wolves/Belle Vue has no relevance at all when looking at the continental tracks. We've seen a World U-21 champion recently look like a novice at Wolverhampton and then perform really well in the SWC for Poland. PC and Michael Lee were both world champions and used to ride on big British tracks, which set them up well for what they found on the continent. Hopefully, our time will come again -
No it wouldn't. The strong would remain at a level and the weak, as you put it, get the opportunity to build up the the level of the strongest from the previous year. Economics will kick in and teams will find their levels. The original question was about continuity and continuously having to break up teams for the sake of maintaining an artificially low average and I believe my suggestion would solve the perennial problem.
-
Nothing half-baked, as you put, it at all. Instead of employing 2nd rate foreign riders because of the average restrictions, they would be able to go out and obtain better options. These do exist, or don't you look at the strength of teams in Poland and Sweden. The idea is to maintain continuity, so what's half-baked about that, oh wise one?
-
Only one team can be Champions, so why not allow them to keep the same team if they wish, with their cumulative average being the figure that all teams can build to for the following season? We've gone down the path of diluting the product and the result of this can be seen at the turnstiles.

Within an e-mail I received from BWin, is their rules governing Friday's meeting: The relevant excerpt in regards to the evaluation of the above bets can be found on our websie or at the following link provided for your convenience: https://help.bwin.com/general-information/legal-matters/general-terms-and-conditions/sports-betting-special-rules/speedway "1.) All meeting bets apply to a specific number of heats, generally 15. If a meeting is abandoned and 12 or more heats have been completed at the time of abandonment then all bets will be settled on the official result. If less than 12 heats have been completed at the time of abandonment then all bets will be void. This also applies to Handicap bets." So, it looks like a genuine error in settling and if you haven't been paid out on Cov +5.5, contact BWin and I'm sure they'll amend accordingly.

I know - in reality seven heat leaders in today's terms. What we've arrived at today has been caused by lowering the points limit over the years, resulting in a vastly diluted product at a premium price. And they wonder why they don't get the crowds.

According to a poster on Twitter, they were going Eastie -7

Yep was there and The Falcons got it spot on tactically. But you metion a race between PC, Soren and Ivan - shows you how poor the standard of the so-called Elite League is today. Every team should have its equivalent of The Turbo Twins, but sadly not the case.
-
Bwin did the same to me - I called them and they eventually paid me out on Cov +4.5 - suggest you do the same.

Maybe he was concerned about the "hire em and fire em" Pirates and elected for the more secure pastures of Norfolk? Shame he didn't fancy Kirky Lane

Speedway Star Revamp 2 Months On
ABS replied to remembertheracers's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Not a fan of the re-vamp and without question, not having the results sections by league is my main gripe. My subscription renewal has arrived and for the first time I'm considering not renewing. Had the Star received complaints about how the presentation used to be? If not, then why change just for the sake of it? -
Coincidence, perhaps, but not long after posting my earlier message, I received the following from BWin: <<Thank you for your e-mail. We would like to apologise for the delay in responding to your query from 10.04.2013. We regret to inform you that we are not able to remove your winning limit at the moment. Please note that our customers' accounts are constantly reviewed and, therefore, your account status could also be revised if active. Further action might then be taken which may or may not involve the reinstatement of a higher limit. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further queries.>> So, after close on two months wait, I get a wonderful non-answer. Maybe there customer support department is staffed with ex-politicians? As we all know, they're only happy if you lose.

Those kind souls at BWin graciously allowed me to have a whopping £5.47 on Lakeside -6.5 - why do they bother calling themselves Bookmakers. Lahti off Gate 4 to win Heat 3 at Belle Vue was a generous 17/2 and I managed to get Lakeside 13-16 at 9/1 with Lads, before they dropped the price down - a big thank you to KK and Robbo (and the Lakeside Manager)

Grand Prix Speedway In Finland 2014-2016

Most definitely a GP that I would attend. I believe it would create a lot of interest in Finland and would present an ideal opportunity for visitors to find out just what a wonderful place Finland is. -

ABS replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Puts everything into perspective. Knowing how ill his father was, it's amazing that Emil was even in Goteborg, let alone doing what he did. The young man has a lot of character and thoughts are with him. -
