  1. Well Tai should be a good enough guest for KL on Thursday.
  2. As you point out he says he knows what the problems are. Having suffered a back injury myself, I think a lot of his problems might stem from the away meeting at Leicester, where he had three bad crashes. He was lucky to walk away from the last two and then discharged himself from hospital to participate in the NZ Grand Prix. If he is suffering back problems, it would certainly impact on how he rides the back and might explain what we are seeing now in his performances. His body language in the pits at Belle Vue wasn't brilliant either and he looks like a person experiencing discomfort. If he is still suffering from the crashes at Leicester and elsewhere, he might well be better advised, in the long term, taking a break and getting himself healthy. He has time on his side and I'm sure we would all prefer watching the Tai of 2013 then the Tai of today.
  3. To replace one rider who is genuinely injured and one rider who has been sacked and not as yet replaced.
  4. Great report, but if all Lakeside needs to gain at least a point is avoid a 5-1 in Heat 15, then surely they should have put Bech on the more favourable gate 2. Looks like a gamble to get two points has left them with a big fat zero. BV did the same at Eastbourne with heat 15 gate positions which backfired on us too.
  5. Should advertise this one as Leicester Select v Belle Vue.
  6. MPT was well worthhis six points tonight and rode really well on Monday as well. Wonder what odds you could have got that NKI wouldn't win a race? Lambert looked very good for such a youngster and Stars look the team to beat for me, as there are no obvious weaknesses.
  7. Maybe we need an Aces 2015 thread, but this is great news: http://scunthorpescorpions.co/?p=790
  8. Reade's performances in the PL are a worry. will be close tomorrow
  9. And therein lies the problem, Kennett is not an EL Heat Leader, neither is King an EL Number One. Ellis and Bech really impressive tonight.
  10. One thing I can't stand is those poxy Stock Cars wrecking the track. However, they do get a lot of fans in and with offers like this you can see why. http://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/manchester/gl-startrax-8/36357639?p=1&nlp=&CID=UK_CRM_1_0_0_91&a=11&utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&sid=25d5b034-6d13-42d4-989f-f5cf64504720&division=manchester&uh=66c5891b-4bf6-4fa2-9fd0-53e7211c348d&date=20140104&sender=rm&s=body&c=deal_button&d=deal-page&utm_campaign=gl-startrax-8-36357639 Would like to see The Aces offer something similar
  11. Not really - three years is quite a long time and they naturally want to protect their revenue streams during this period and hopefully transfer this expertise over to a new track.
  12. Only problem was the audio. Picture was very clear and Wolves -6 was a steal
  13. Yep, Steve is pretty good at spouting it, especially on Coventry threads.
  14. Is this a typo - do you mean Le stade de la merde?
  15. Ah the good old days of "Rolling" Reg Wilson and Doug "Flyer" Wyer are long gone.
  16. Would love to know Mort's definition of "just ahead of". It implies a degree of immediacy, but the history of this project would suggest otherwise.
  17. I've kept my receipt just in case. I believe that there are two discrete companies for the current operation and the stadium, so I would hope that the brick money is held by the company for the stadium.
  18. Think you'll find it was Galliard who were behind the redevelopment of Highbury
  19. Perhaps wrong to speak ill about the dead, but it has to be the late Kenny Carter. Watching him race, he had no regard for fellow riders and engaged in truly dangerous moves, often going for "gaps" which didn't exist.
  20. For me and in no particular order: Peter Collins Peter Craven Jason Crump Kelly Moran Thankfully all have graced the red, white and black race jacket.
  21. Perhaps you should address that question to Matt Ford, unless he is now subject to some form of gagging order?
  22. Track was up to scratch last season. We need to make sure that Lufthansa flights are not cancelled/delayed, as these can lead to waterlogging. Bit worried about the amount of meetings Cookie will miss riding for Edinburgh, though
  23. All the Stretford fans disappear when they get beat TWK. It's one of the wonders of the world how mobile phone signals disappear from their phones after a defeat. The biggest loss for Man Ure last night was 40 mins prime selling time at the club shop, as the way things turned out they would have been better off had the Little Pea not scored at the death. Would have been great to have announced the Sky deal just after the match yesterday, perhaps as a fill-in for the Moyes interview!! With the nation waiting for his words of wisdom, we could have spread the message to millions.
  24. In the I.T. world RSA is a security company named after the three founders Rivest, Shamir and Adleman. Many of us use their products and algorithms without realising.
