  1. Thanks - when will this be confirmed?
  2. Surely the Adam Shields down to ride at number 1 for Vargarna can't be the same one who announced his retirement a couple of weeks ago?
  3. Thanks for this Anders and there was me thinking that everything was so simple, well organised and logical over in Sweden. Is there a single point of reference where one can get up-to-date information on line ups? Looking at today, for example, there is a world of differnce in having Crump at number one to having Zabik, when looking at Swedish Handicap Betting.
  4. I thought that you can't change teams once these have been declared. The speedway.nu site still has Richardson listed at 1 for Vetlanda and also has Kaj Laukkanen at 4 for Indianerna with Henka at reserve. Can someone confirm whether my undertsanding is right or not.......before I "invest" some money this evening?
  5. Thank you AJ for a very profitable evening. 34/1 with Bet and Win, 25/1 with Skybet and 16/1 with Stan James were all good value for a rider who is in great form at the moment. With a bit of luck and an injury free run, AJ would be a great each way bet to win the GP series next season. It would be great if he were to ride for Belle Vue, but I can only see Arena Essex as his home for 2008. Wouldn't mind Bomber at Kirky Lane though and hopefully Olsen will give Bomber a wild card for next year to build on his performances of this year,
  6. It was quite a cut-throat meeting yesterday and after scoring 14 points in the main meeting, I believe PK has morally earned a place in the 2007 GP. What is a worry is that the new New Pretenders have made little impact on the Old Guard yet again. We would like new blood in the GP series, but these riders need to be competitive. Would either of Stead or Harris be truly competitive at this level?
  7. Wrong. As an out and out racer Crumpy had the opportunity to go through both meetings unbeaten, which would have been one hell of a feat. He didn't make it, which was a shame for him. Aces fans will never criticise a ride for trying. The Aussie psyche means that coming second is not really different to coming fourth, which is why Crumpy is a winner. It is also why his team mates will not criticise him. He might have been born here, but his determination is 100% Aussie. Just wish team GB had five of his ilk.
  8. Riding Kirky Lane week in, week out has obviously done Crumpy a lot of harm!!! It would be great to see a GP at a track like BV or Wolverhampton, not that it's going to happen. It would make a change from the boring full throttle open venues which dish up pretty poor racing. Maybe Sam's comments are sour grapes as he could never seem to get around turns three/four at Kirky Lane?
  9. For me Richardson should be out of the GP's, along with Pepe and possibly NKI. NKI shouldn't have been in in the first place - only Olsen and his BSI cohorts could possibly believe that NKI is a better rider than Hans Andersen. NKI does at least have the potential to improve, whereas Richardson and Pepe will most probably go backwards. For me Steady should be in for next season - he is the top Brit in the averages (for now) and a vastly improved rider from last season. Hans Andersen should also be a must and I would include Joonas Kylmakorpi, who, like Steady has come on leaps and bounds this season. All these three are what I would call real racers, which the GP needs. Another rider worth considering is Jesper B, who has been in the GP before and is now recapturing the form that made him such a great prospect a few years ago. I daresay had Kylmakorpi been a Latvian he would have got a wild card for this season - maybe a GP for Finland?
