Weather forecasts have been quite inaccurate in the M/Cr area recently. If it is lightish rain and if it stops at 4'ish, then it would provide for a perfect track.

I think we'll need Anthony Taylor - he loves anything Red & White.

Belle Vue V Sheffield - Mon 26th @ noon
ABS replied to GeneralMelchett's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Sterling effort from Brady to ride at Belle Vue yesterday. The Captain gave it his all, despite being in pain. So very easy for keyboard warriors to knock him. For his efforts, he was "rewarded" with a trip to hospital. And some clowns want him banned for trying his hardest to ride for his team - just amazing! -
Sheffield vs. Belle Vue Grand Final 2nd Leg 13/10/22
ABS replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Watched the first leg at BV but didn't attend last night. Instead of moaning about the Referee, perhaps Stead should be asking why the track curator decided not to rip up the gates again. Just like with the borefest a week earlier against Wolves, any rider off gate three was severely handicapped, so much so that you were treated to three man races, in effect. To be honest, I go to the NSS every week and the racing is usually very good, but from what I've seen from Sheffield this season, I seriously wouldn't bother crossing the road for what passes as racing there. It actually makes Monmore Green look like a Speedway riders paradise. Pleased to see our young riders Tom and Norick perform so well at the death. For me, the turning point in Tom's season was when he went up to number two, with Matej at number one. He seemed to grow in confidence and learned a lot about what lines to take around the NSS from the Master. -

7.61 - Kurtz rides at 1 & Lambert at 5 -
In the interests of Speedway, no doubt.

With some of our performances around Owlerton, it will be difficult to tell whether we are trying or not. On the other hand, Sheffield riders will have no such excuse.

Wolves vs Harris & Basso ( Panthers )
ABS replied to Purplepanthernotred's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Anyone know why Douglas only had his four programmed rides yesterday? Would have thought that he would at least of had one of the R/R rides. -
Would imagine that MPT was offered both meetings by Lemon, once he knew that Matej would be out.

As Slovenian speedway riders are a minority group, there must be a high probability.

Please Crumpy stay fit. Missed both of Ipswich's meetings at BV this season. Will be there whatever on Saturday, but yet to see Crumpy around the NSS. -
Belle Vue v Peterborough Panthers - Grand Final

Would doubt it. Worse still, Max is a Belle Vue asset. -

Only if we can have Max Fricke riding instead of Kurtz. -

But last week was slick, as evidenced by the times. -
The demise of speedway in the UK, for me, started a long while ago. Consistently reducing team averages constituted a dilution of the product on offer. Combined with ever increasing prices and value for money just went out of the window. Forget all the intervals, false starts, etc., speedway is in effect around 15 minutes of actual racing and for £18-£20 just isn't good value. I go to Belle Vue every week, because I always have done. Would speedway, in its current format, attract me as a new follower - probably not. For a conurbation the size of Greater Manchester, the crowds we get are really poor. Would they improve with better riders in the league, a reduction in pricing, better promotion in the local areas, well who knows?

All down to a good education!!

I think so. Will gain confidence from riding at the NSS and if he can make a few gates away from home, should do it comfortably.

Bjerre will be fine. Flies round the NSS and is comfortable passing there as the track is both wide and safe.
