The NSSC's annual quiz will be held on Tuesday 3rd December at our usual venue in Nuneaton with a 50/50 split of general knowledge and speedway questions. Please arrive at 7.30pm for an 8pm start & teams of no more than 4 people. £3 entry per person plus nibbles & raffle! All profits from the quiz will help the NSSC support British speedway! Thank you Tomazpozrl. Very interesting. Nasty looking crash for Spieser. Shame that Germany did not get through, I was looking forward to seeing Smoli' again at the Showground. Is that the second or third year that Germany have lost out on a run-off?

Just heard from my family (every single memeber of my family has gone apart from me!) in Germany...they are very annoyed to say the least. The stadium has a roof...how can it go this wrong?? We have also been unlucky enough to have gone to the Ullevi GP that was cancelled. If they deal with it the sameway im pretty sure no one will get any other money back for flights and hotels ect.

It does seem pretty drastic...especially when the rider who wins the GP could receive less points than the guy in second place. However... Last year, a guy could qualify for the semis with 9 points, get a second in the semi, get through to the final and win it - therefore gaining 25 GP points. Where another guy could have qualified for the semis with 15 points, then wins his semi but then comes second in the final - getting 20 points. With last years system the rider who was the best overall didn't necessarily get the most points. Whereas with the new system, he will do.
