  1. 4 those interested, I've wacked together a few rough demo vids from the somersby junior speedway meeting from saturday for now up on the site until its fully built and operational, the rest of the meeting will be up when its finished. The vid format is a bit smaller than before but the quality seems okay no worries. just follow the link below. www.2xtv.com
  2. Can anyone tell us a bit about the track at Skaerbaeck in Denmark thanks and if possible is there any pixs or footage about for this venue where the 80cc world championship is being held in July thanks no worries.
  3. Updates from Howard trackside via Ron 2 the internet. (thanks guys) Update 1: Hi all, Just spoken to Howard at the track. A cool night in Adelaide, and the crowd is already building up. Tapes up at 8:30pm Adelaide time, which is about 45 minutes away. The line up is as follows: 1. Cameron Woodward (Vic) 2. Corey Gathercole (Vic) 3. Arlo Bugeja (SA) 4. Chris Holder (NSW) 5. Jason Doyle (NSW) 6. Trevor Harding (WA) 7. Aaron Summers (SA) 8. John Oliver (Qld) 9. Robert Ksiezak (SA) 10. Rick Barney (Qld) 11. Tyron Proctor (Vic) 12. Matthew Wethers (SA) 13. Troy Batchelor (Qld) 14. Tom Hedley (Vic) 15. Mark Jones (Vic) 16. Michael Slade (NSW) 17. Daine Stevens (NSW) (1st reserve) 18. James Holder (NSW) (2nd reserve) Here’s hoping for some fantastic racing.....Regards Ron Update 2: Heat 1: C Woodward … 2nd C Gathercole … 3rd A Bugeja … 4th C Holder … 1st Time: 59.65 Heat 2: J Doyle … 1st A Summers …2nd T Harding … 3rd J Oliver … 4th Time: 59.70 Heat 3: R Barney … fell T Proctor … 3rd R Ksiezak … 2nd M Wethers … 1st Time: 60.37 Heat 4 (rerun): M Jones … 2nd T Hedley … fell, excluded M Slade … 3rd T Batchelor … 1st Time: 59.45 Howard Comments: Track is dusty & needs water (but water truck has broken down). Holder brilliant from the outside in Heat 1. Processional Heat 2, but Summers & Harding finished very close together. Barney gated in Heat 3. Wethers took the lead in lap 3. Barney fell whilst challenging for the lead in the final lap. Barney has withdrawn from the meeting (he walked back to the pits from his fall). Hedley fell & was excluded from the rerun of heat 4. Jones gated but Batchelor passed around the outside with superior speed. Update 3: Heat 5: T Batchelor … 1st C Woodward … 3rd J Doyle … 2nd R Ksiezak …4th Time: 59.25 Heat 6: T Hedley … 3rd D Stevens … 4th C Gathercole …1st T Harding … 2nd Time: 60.37 Heat 7: T Proctor … 4th M Jones … 1st A Summers … 3rd A Bugeja … 2nd Time: 60.17 Heat 8: C Holder … 1st J Oliver … 4th M Wethers … 2nd M Slade … 3rd Time: 59.35 Howard Comments: The water truck has been fixed! Batchelor from the gate in Heat 5 with Doyle in second. A close duel between Woodward & Ksiezak for 3rd. Heat 6 produced the best race of the night with the last lap being a cracker. Harding was mid track & leading and Gathercole came right around the outside and got him on turn 3. Jones got a good gate to score a popular win in Heat 7, and Holder was again impressive in Heat 8. Stand out riders are Batchelor & Holder, with times being indicative. Heat 12 should be a good one!. Update 4: Heat 9: T Harding … 2nd M Slade … 3rd C Woodward …1st T Proctor … 4th Time: 60.10 Heat 10 (rerun): M Wethers … 1st J Doyle … 2nd M Jones … 3rd C Gathercole … fell & excluded from rerun Time: 59.96 Heat 11: J Oliver … 2nd R Ksiezak … excluded A Bugeja … 3rd T Hedley … 1st Time: 60.42 Heat 12: T Batchelor … 2nd C Holder … 1st J Holder … 4th A Summers … 3rd Time: 58.98 Howard Comments: Wow, what a bracket of races. Firstly in Heat 9, Harding gated but seems to be down on power and can’t hold the others out. Woodward passes Harding on lap 2. Heat 10 was rerun after Gathercole fell whilst in 2nd position on turn 3 of the final lap! Jones drops it to avoid him. In the rerun Wethers gated and the others played follow the leader. The track is slick & dusty, so when someone gates from the inside the rest are finding it hard to catch & pass. In Heat 11 Ksiezak crossed the line in 1st place, well ahead of the rest, but was excluded because he had lost a part of his bike apparently (you don’t have to be dead to be stiff!). Heat 12 was a beauty. Chris Holder made the gate slightly then hit a bit of a bump in turn 2. Troy & Chris then battled it out for another lap and a bit before Chris Holder pulled away to win by about 8 to 10 bike lengths. Very pumped and very impressive was Howard’s comments. James Holder took Ricky Barney’s place in this heat 12. A track grade is going on at the moment, so it will be a while before the next round of heats. Will give progressive scores in the next post..... Further to previous posts, Ricky Barney hurt his knee when he fell in his first ride, and bent the front forks of his bike. Robert Ksiezak lost his chain guard. There is some debate whether losing a chain guard is an excludable offence. Track grade completed. Next results in about 15 minutes. Update 5: Heat 13: A Summers … 2nd M Wethers … 3rd T Hedley … ef C Woodward … 1st Time: 58.08 Heat 14: C Gathercole … 2nd T Batchelor … 1st J Oliver … 4th T Proctor … 3rd Time: 57.93 Heat 15: M Slade … 2nd A Bugeja … 3rd D Stevens … 4th J Doyle … 1st Time: 58.46 Heat 16: R Ksiezak … 3rd T Harding … 4th C Holder … 1st M Jones … 2nd Time: 58.05 Howard Comments: A track grade and water has seen times improve. In Heat 13 Hedley retired on lap 3. Nothing to report on in Heat 14. In Heat 15 Doyle made a terrific gate. Nothing to report on in Heat 16. The 3rd and 4th places in the final are very close between a number of riders, namely Woodward, Doyle, Wethers & Jones. Update 6: Heat 17: C Woodward … 1st J Oliver … 3rd M Jones … 2nd J Holder … 4th Time: 59.77 Heat 18: R Ksiezak … 2nd C Gathercole … 1st A Summers … 3rd M Slade … 4th Time: 59.55 Heat 19: A Bugeja … 4th M Wethers … 2nd T Batchelor … 1st T Harding … 3rd Time: 59.30 Heat 20: J Doyle … 2nd T Hedley … 3rd T Proctor … 4th C Holder … 1st Time: 58.52 Comments: Final is: Holder (Red) Batchelor (Blue) Doyle (White) Woodward (Y& Final (rerun): 1st … Chris Holder 2nd … Troy Batchelor 3rd … Jason Doyle 4th … Cameron Woodward (fell excluded on lap 3 turn 3) Time: 58.87 Comments: In the original race, Holder & Batchelor were too worried about each other, allowing Doyle to get to the front. Jason had one hand on the trophy when Cameron Woodward fell and the race was stopped. Cam was excluded from the rerun. In the rerun, Doyle challenged Batchelor for second, but had a moment and dropped back. Holder was just too good, and successfully defended his Australian U21 Championship. Final Points: 1. Cameron Woodward (Vic) … 12 2. Corey Gathercole (Vic) … 9 3. Arlo Bugeja (SA) … 4 4. Chris Holder (NSW) …15 5. Jason Doyle (NSW) … 12 6. Trevor Harding (WA) … 6 7. Aaron Summers (SA) … 7 8. 4. Whadda ya talkin about mate this is Aussie speedway, workmans sport not Jane Austin's Sense and sensibility stiff upper lip political correctness bulldingo as unlike over there with some we dont put the riders up on pedestals regardless of who they are on track and what they acheived which we respect but off it they are just another dude and its the best piece of print media speedway journalism in years for telling it like it. If ya own a platform to hava a spew like that magazine then as far i am concerned it open license to throw a fire a few verbal rockets up there arses with what occurred and if they dont like it tough rubbishe. So as far i am concerned David and particuarly Rod could of gone alot harder than they did and that excellent photo printed in that article by the photographer of Schlein giving another rider a tonguey in his ear like Linda Lovelace during the riders briefing pretty much says it all of the riders mentioned attitudes on the night. It is still a raw saw point for us locals at Gosford mate as only been able to run one proper solo meeting so far this season and our local riders have had bugga all track time at their local as a result but this articles go along way to ripping it back up the arses of those mentioned who stuffed it that night for all concerned. no worries hava a good one !!
  5. their will be video footage of selected heats of the u21's up on the site for your perusal after the meeting ..

  9. I can assure you mate that was one of the better NSW state solo titles in some years the level of effort and intensity put in from the younger dudes in the field more than made up for "the lack of weak lineup" as you put it. I would rate that final and heat 18 as good as I have see there since 1992 when the likes of Poole, Boyce, Davies and Wiltshire lined up for a final of the state titles. Whilst Christopher was the deserved winner on paper, the real winner was he future of NSW solo racing in this state with potential of the younger riders shining through on the night. The names of Holder(s), Doyle and Williams etc are a testament to that fact of how healthy the future of solo racing is in not only NSW but most of the other solo racing states (Cathercole and Proctor just to name a few) as well with some of these younger guys now really blossoming as well as the next lot in the u 16's coming thru. I cant wait to see most of these younger guys if they are given the chance after a couple of seasons of British League racing under their belts as the vast improvement in Jason Doyle for example was quite evident as soon as he done a few practice laps. The Australian senior titles and u 21 titles are going to be some of the most hardest and intense racing seen for some years out here at that level with all these younger dudes going at it and this was evident in some of the racing the other night.
  10. Brief mention. 18 yr old Chris Holder has taken out the NSW 500cc State Solo Championships finishing ahead of Jason Doyle, Adam Shields and Corey Cathercole in the final. Riders taking part: Sharnell Sipple Jack Holder Alex Davies Sam Masters Blake Young Jesse Hamilton Mitchell Watson Michael Penfold Toby Proctor Mason Campton Ben Russell Rohan Tungate Jessie Robinson Taylor Poole Mitchell Orr Jackson Jeffries

  17. Redloh Racing Australia Release 09/10/05 Redloh Racing team riders James & Chris Holder again headed North of the border this time to the Labrador Speedway venue to take part in "The Laurels" solo invitational meeting. The meeting which was held under humid conditions saw some pretty good racing in the later half of the night as the dudes went at with some hard edged racing at times which was good for the local fans who were eager for some early season solo racing action with attitude at the Gold Coast venue. The meeting winner was Tamworth's Mick Slade who after a closely fought out final took the meeting ahead of Scott Smith, Sam Taylor and Redloh Racing's Chris Holder . James Holder also continued his solid early season form by posting 8 points and just missing out on the final despite this James remains upbeat of his performances and his early season form thus far indicates some good things ahead this Australian domestic season for the likeable 19 yr old "Jawa Jet Jockey" As for Chris, the current Australian u 21 champion he went through his heats as the top points scorer (14 points) with the choice of gate in the final as a result of his performance in the heats. Unfortunately for the 2005 World U 21 semi finalist his new bike setup gremlins stuck again in the final when Chris realised that something was amiss prior to tapes up and thus any chance of a meeting victory dissipated as a result. Not to be perturbed by this minor mechanical hickup that often goes with untested new machinery and setups, Chris will take some heart that when on song his new rocketship is definitely got it going on when it all comes together for the easy going 18 yr old Appin based "Smooth Kid Cruise". The Redloh team's bike preparation and service program before each meeting will hopefully ensure that a solution is found to these minor problems in time before our next meeting this time yet again heading North to QLD's leading Solo and Sidecar racing venue the Pioneer Park Speedway up at Townsville on the 29th October followed by the Australian Longtrack Championships on the 5th November and the season opener at Gosford City Speedway on the 12th. Redloh Racing Australia would like to thank our TEAM SPONSORS for their valuable ongoing support and patronage of our riders and we look forward to their continued support into the future. For those interested you can follow all our team meeting results, photos, and small vid mpeg 4 movie clips on the site this Australian summer. The new permanent site design should be up and operational shortly as well in place of the temp template presently in operation for the time being. 18. James Holder took a well earnt 2nd placing at the Bob Sharp Trophy meeting held at the Nepean Raceway NSW Australia on Sunday 2nd October 2005. The meeting was held in unseasonably hot and dry conditions with temperatures more reminiscence of early January as opposed to early October. Both the Holder brothers kicked off proceedings in fine style with good opening heat wins including Chris defeating eventual meeting winner Mark Jones in his opening heat but unfortunately for the Australian u 21 champion he suffered some unfortunate mechanical gremlins in his next 2 heats which robbed his chances of a certain final berth though Chris did well considering the circumstances endured to finish with 9 points for his efforts on the day Chris was racing for the first time a brand new GM engine Stuha diamond & Scandic Clutch setup and unfortunately encountered some problems with the new set up with a couple of DNF's earlier in the day. But once those minor teething problems were sorted out Chris was back to his usual "smooth cruise" self and was able to come out and take another couple of heat victories. James though was the man of the hour for the Redloh Racing team today and deservedly so and showed his potential for a good summer ahead for the Appin based flyer by taking out a hard fought never say die 2nd place effort in the final behind Albury's Mark Jones & ahead of Sydney's Jaye Herne in 3rd and the Hunter Valley's Korey Williams in 4th. The team would also like to thank their sponsors for their continuing support and we look forward to your continued partnership in the future.
  19. can anyone tell me which year John was the british speedway match race champion and if possible please who were the riders he took on and beat. Thanks for the help as per usual thanks no worries cheers
  20. The Australian Speedway and Karting Expo is on this coming weekend October 1st and 2nd, Rosehill Race Course down in Sydney NSW featuring the MICK POOLE SPEEDWAY SPARES trade stand. Both James and Chris Holder along with Mick will be on hand to meet and greet the folks in attendance. The expo is the brain child of Australian speedway impresario David Tapp of Power Productions, ISMS and SRN magazine fame and the major naming sponsor for the expo is Spit Fire Products.
  21. Would anyone know thanks who was the resident track photographer for Ippo during the early to mid 70's thanks mainly the years 1972 to about 1974 or 75 as there photos were submitted to the East Anglia Daily Times Group at that time and also used in the match day proggies in 74 i think it was at the time. So if anyone would anyone know how i can make contact with the chap(s) if there still around of course. As i am trying to track photos that were taken at the World Championship Qualifiying round held at Ippo on Thursday 2nd May 1974 and the British Zone of the world team champioships round held at Ippo on Thursday August 7th 1974 with Australia, Scotland, NZ and England. The only small lead i have to these photos are the name: "Watson Brothers" East Angia Ltd 1974 but that could of been the actual company who printed the proggies back then?????. Any help appreciated thanks as per usual. Please contact me off forum thanks if need be. cheers no worries.

On the domestic racing front, the next meeting for the Redloh Racing Australia team dudes will be heading upto the tropics of the Capricornia region of North QLD where the boys both James and Chris will be racing in opposite teams in the North QLD V South QLD teams meeting at the Pioneer Park speedway venue which is dead set surrounded by sugar cane fields as far as the eye can see and the way joint is run is a real credit to Richard and Shelly.
