  1. I thought it was quite entertaining to be honest. A slick track can provide good racing, as much as grippy one can be borefest. Harris was just poor, as he was at Foxhall but the other Lynn riders were there or thereabouts & thought they were unlucky with re-runs when in good positions. There was passing on the inside and the outside, so not one line only.
  2. The opt-in option applies to grass track champs as well with the ACU licence I seem to remember and has always been there I think.
  3. If you are known for making starts it's a little easier but for those riders who rely on having a chance to pass it is a little tougher if the track is bit wetter. As ever, it can also be a good excuse.
  4. Oh yeah, I'm old enough to know that but didn't know that was their biggest hit which is why I went for another ELO song, Confusion. 🙂
  5. Not being in his fan club I'm not sure what that is, so I'll plump for confusion?
  6. Can't be any worse than some fat boy/girl singer
  7. I'm not on anyone's back and age doesn't have anything to do with it - some riders have been top stars when younger than Boughen and others novices in their late 20s (John Louis for one). He's been riding bikes since he was three and has travelled the world doing it so I'd have expected faster progress if was destined for greatness. The forum is great as it allows opinion & I've given mine - of course it could turn out to be an incorrect forecast, nothing is certain.
  8. As a fan John Berry & Tim Sugar (😉) & from who I've dealt with, Mick Hester.
  9. Is that because if it were any other reason he'd be in trouble or is he genuinely injured?
  10. He's not going to improve in my opinion, I think he will realise that for himself soon.
  11. The newness of an engine makes little difference it's how it out set with the other components which matters, alongside the rider being able to ride it!
  12. There should be room for common sense and the impact on entertainment.
  13. Not really, his forays into the Premiership in recent seasons have not been very successful. He is such an enigma though - the point I was making is that this had to come against Birmingham!
  14. What was more annoyong was the lack of attention to the track as it dried, just waiting for the standard grading after every 4/5 heats wasn't enough. When there were other gaps after crashes or two consecutive rides it should have been graded and watered then as well. However, when Doyle was behind, he made short shrift of those in front of him!
  15. I feel really sorry for Birmingham. Last week they had two good chances of wins against Oxford then they go and bring in Cook who has a couple of rare good meetings. Timing is everything.
  16. Again, only in Poland. Pepe used to be good there as well but where was he on the world stage. Claim was 'in the world'
  17. Who cares about Poland? Bang average in the UK so not in top four in the world.for me.
  18. Presumably Castagna is a temporary replacement? Makes them much weaker I think.
  19. Boughen hasn't made the progress so many were predicting. Many Oxford fans reported on this in the past.
  20. Can't see Boughen scoring and Dan T will get more than some are predicting. Going for 55-35.
  21. But Thompson scored the same as both Doyle and Emil as it included bonus points and was from for programmed riders only. Think it was only MJJ who was a no show.
