Thanks for the added info. However if said Polish rider told them to do one, surely they could still ride here but not in Poland? Not sure how their visas work so maybe once granted to ride here they could continue for the season or would Poland contact the Home Office?

Per Jonsson another example. We're not in the EU anymore - even so, when they say they're 'banned' I think what they mean is a contractual penalty rather than an actual ban - e.g. if they do ride here they will lose their place in their Polish team and not be in contention for open meetings, riding for Poland etc. maybe even suspending their registration. No rider will want to lose all of that hence it works for the Polish teams to threaten it.

Nope, can't agree with that at all. Wide variety of shapes - wider/narrower and the material is different. Requires different skills/technique. Continental riders have pretty much always struggled over here until experienced and vice versa.

There was some passing after bend two but it was limited. Where Nicholls was successful was getting in front out of bend two - he's never been the best gater but used the outside dirt (which many were afraid of) to get ahead - including when there was only the smallest of gaps due to Cook squeezing him up to the fence. Lawson was good for Leicester and I also thought Becker did ok (although he also stuffed Cook in one heat) and Douglas was making the effort but couldn't get to grips with the deeper outside line on bends 1&2, hence his fall. Fricke looked quick at times but never really threatened. I'm not sure Rew will see much improvement, seems to overlock a lot, a bit like Simon Stead used to but I hope he proves me wrong.
