  1. The track may be good but the experience for fans is not, in my view. On my second visit (first was World Cup so that doesn't count) I had no idea where to queue and wanted to stand on bend 2. It was a long queue I was standing in at the main entrance but luckily I did speak to the person next to me who told me I had to go out of the stadium bit and walk around a car park and there'll be a little gate where I had to go for bend 2. There was one catering van which took forever to get served and I missed one of the races. The meeting was good but the experience could have been so much better.
  2. Harris is shocking for Glasgow as well - not sure what's gone wrong there but it's hurting two teams - at Lynn last year he was absolutely brilliant. Clegg in my view will never make the grade at Premiership level, Perks was much better.
  3. Was an enjoyable meeting - you certainly can't keep a rider behind you very easily if they are faster. Batchelor was making starts but didn't have the same pace. Funny how the inside was king to start with then the outside and this reverted to the inside again near the end. Have to admit Pearson's shouting is starting to grate, nothing wrong with KT though.
  4. Said Said this many times whilst most people seemed to be extolling the fixed nights. It will change, business can't survive without the necessary income. Great victory for Rye with Poole showing what a decent reserve can do. Harris and Clegg are the real weak points. For Poole, once confidence grows they will get the wins.
  5. I agree and felt that Pawlicki was actually the cause - he tried to cut underneath Woffinden when Doyle was already there - he should have moved to a wider line. Totally harsh on Doyle and the wrong decision.
  6. I'm sure I remember him doing better than Cook.
  7. I've only been able to get to one meeting so far this year - for me the fixed nights are sending me away from the sport.
  8. I don't think Cook should be in the team. It's a real shame Worrall is injured - when does he expect to return? I'd go with Woffinden, Worrall and Lambert if possible, if not then Bewley instead of Worrall
  9. So why was that not on the BSPA announcement?
  10. Why? Has he broken a nail or doesn't want the embarrassment of finishing down the field. Saying he's withdrawn without a reason leads to speculation. No shows are also one reason i cannot warm to him.
  11. It seems to me that British fans of many sports like nothing better than to moan about how bad things are or have a pessimistic outlook. Davis Cup tennis fans are an exception to that. As for Poland, I'm sure it's nothing to do with the level of alcohol consumed
  12. He didn't have a passport, he now has and should also now have a visa. Can't see why it's still being referred to as 'personal issues'. Meetings are being called off this year if there appears to be anything other than a dry week, certainly at some tracks. With the weather being so changeable I think this could spell the end for Professional speedway in this country as we gradually lose any sort of continuity and the fans disappear. I've watched loads of rain affected meetings before and those run of very wet surfaces - many of which have been really entertaining.
  13. No idea where in the USA I'm afraid. Maybe Cody racing/products could help.
  14. Blimey, it's no wonder we are where we are in Britain, talk about glass half empty. No matter the results etc. I always will my team to improve and look and the optimistic side, it's a real chore being miserable about it. Some matches are like that and results will topsy turvy throughout the season. To me, UK speedway is a lot less predictable than Poland, as is Sweden. The meetings I've seen in PL this season have been fastest bike wins, once they've done the first bend but many seem to like it. Rye will have some good results this year, you can't win em all
  15. If they really did go at full speed into bend 3 then they obviously didn't think the track too bad. Experience helps sometimes.
  16. I think Worrall is the best British rider riding in the UK. Fast starter and quick around all track sizes/shapes, should be British Champion this year.
  17. Full text from The Mirror says "CHRIS ON HOLD NO LONGER: Poole star Chris Holder, 30, has been given the green light to start racing again. The Aussie hasn't had a work visa while waiting for a new passport, which has finally arrived. He said "It's been a rocky start."
  18. In the paper today it says Holder now has his Visa so can return to racing.
  19. Wonder if Nicholls we be aboard his 'sometimes make a decent start' GM or his 'oh dear I'm last to the first bend' Godden tonight Leicester could do some damage here.
  20. Worrall was a cert for British Champion this year in my view, our best World Cup rider last year and started in great form. Maybe he won't be out as long as some fear.
  21. As a fellow Godden tester, is Ellis using his tonight or is it just Nicholls? It looked slow last night at Foxhall, @ryehousefans had better hope he's aboard the GM for their matches.
