  1. Two team meetings at Belle Vue and has got 8+2 and 9 doesn't seem too bad to me. Harris' record there is not great and was only 9th in British Final there last year.
  2. No surprises there from Rosco at all. I would have gone with S Worrall rather than Harris.
  3. Suggest you look at the PSC format again. Home No. 1 meets opposing No. 1 once, whereas No. 3 meets them twice. Both only face a reserve once, and of course there's the nominated races as well. Fact is, when not viewed with bias, it's a difficult decision for Wolves. I expect them to stick with their original team, that's what I would, and Nicholls would fit in nicely at Poole or Peterborough, unless Poole are looking to Cook as their playoff substitute this year.
  4. I think it was a reasonable race with positions in doubt/close together - plus it was Lynn vs Ipswich! The other thing to remember is of course the BSPA adore Harris, always have and I'll never forget the year they changed the Cardiff wildcard just to ensure he was there. Wouldn't surprise me to see him in the SON either.
  5. I'm not up to date on average calculations any more but going on the official meetings this season I make these the top 5 for Wolves: Masters 6.53 incl BP or 6.11 without Nicholls 7.67 or 6.67 Schlein 7.50 or 6.83 Howarth 5.90 or 5.14 Becker 7.00 or 6.4 Tough call for the Wolves promotion I'd say.
  6. I don't think they need a panic postponement here, rain should all be gone by lunchtime and then periods of full sun to dry anything still around.
  7. Trouble is, thus has bitten promoters in the past due to running out of dates later in the year and cramming fixtures in, also in dodgy weather. It can also be self defeating because next time if they say it is on but forecast shows it might rain people will also decide not to bother.
  8. Whether true or not I do have the opinion that he is a rider who falls off a lot/injury prone?
  9. Agreed but in any case reliability of the bike is not a financial issue at all.
  10. Hi, I am looking for a deflector, doesn't matter if a Briggo or Standing type. Steel shoe for size 8 boots also. Thanks
  11. Would save having to drop him anyway when Thorsell returns. Never rated him and seems to have lost it mentally. Still, nothing surprises me and he could be back in a Pirates race jacket before long
  12. Should be a comfortable home win for the Aces and I fancy they may get within 6 at Monmore if Bjerre carries on as he's started, definitely their top rider so far in my view.
  13. Bjerre was the standout rider for the aces, they have a weak tail away from NSS and Bewley was worse than that! Completely different when on his home track. Heeps/Fricke race was brilliant stuff. He's too good for reserve.
  14. Hans Nielsen, Sam Ermolenko, Tony Rickardsson, Jason Crump. Riders never choose to get beat. Masters not looking like a No.1 Who will go when Thorsell fit?
  15. It's always been a fi e line and you may be right but for me it's always a combination of things. Perhaps the new starting regs don't suit his rolling starts I still remember a few years back when Nig Flatman was having a poor run and thought it must be the bike. Sanders borrowed it and won a race with ease! I'm sure it will be figured out as he's too experienced to let those scores continue.
  16. Really don't get the furore over team suits. I couldn't care less and actually used to like seeing all the different leathers riders wore. They can have team race jackets and helmet colours - now I sometimes find it hard to tell who's who on track. It does nothing to increase the crowd, which will continue to reduce unless there is more entertainment on offer, in a better environment, than 15 races.
  17. Although I can partly see the reasoning, it's really too easy to blame the bike if you do badly.
  18. Absolutely. My comment was a little tongue in cheek but in my view it is about consistency and not an average from one season. Not that I've looked at past history but 'out and out' no. 1s I can think of rarely dipped below double figures in a meeting and never in 2 meetings running. He will no doubt come good again he wasn't crowned British Champ for nothing but his start is a worry for Stars fans.
  19. That was more than he scored at Ipswich I think. His scoring is crucial for them and on the evidence of these two meetings he isn't an out and out No.1, as you assess.
