Not his strongest track results wise but hasn't been too bad in the British Finals there - in 2018 he beat Bewley, was the only rider to lead Lambert beyond the first bend and I think also led Cook for 3 & 3/4 laps, just missing out on a top two place.

Disagree completely. There's little/no fat on him! In any case, weight has only a very very very small impact on speed. Ability, racing brain and machinery play a much bigger part.

The thing about averages is they never tell the whole story. The team they're in and their confidence etc. play a huge part. Wright may have been at 1 3 or 5 but was fairly certain of finishing ahead of his team partner in a lot of races, Jensen not so much. A new track for Wright could erode or build his confidence, having a big impact.

Great to see Billy still going strong, a victory for us oldies.

I think it really depends on a lot of factors - the disjointed home fixtures at Peterborough don't help the home riders and of course every team needs riders who are good away from home as well as those good at home.

Disagree. Iversen was adequate at best for Ipswich at the end of last season and the others are too inconsistent.

After that fours crash someone heckled him from the crowd so he went over and punched them, with what turned out to be a broken wrist! Always great value and also had the benefit of seeing him ride in Czech league match in Pardubice on an old 897 against GMs and he was still competitive.

I subscribe to Which? and their magazine is now wrapped in a material made from potato starch (but feels very much like plastic and has the weather protection/lightness of plastic) and is therefore much easier to dispose of environmentally.

Will be going to this - second time I've been, first was 1994. Few days break for us & staying in Haderslev. Taking a brolly!

Been to Latvia twice. First time I travelled from Riga to Daugavpils for the GP and the second time stayed in Riga on the weekend of the postponed/moved GP. Great place, very rural outside of Riga but had a good place to stay in the second city - I travelled to Dauga on the bus. Didn't have any additional vaccinations, didn't get ill and food and drink were fine - Riga is a lovely city.

Difficult to avoid for live events, which is why I always prefer BBC coverage and have drifted away from other sports I used to enjoy such as Cricket. Can just about bear it to watch speedway coverage.

So, let's say 10 years at 5 minutes a day, that's over 300 hours sat fast forwarding. Good use of time.

The licence fee used to cover it all There's just too many channels now available and far too many bl00dy adverts.

I also could only watch it from the main Sky Q box - did you have to pay extra for multiroom access Geoff58? My subscription was the £10 a month through Sky.
