You can't ask that. Remember when Princess Di died, no-one asked why. It's human nature.

Sure. Not sure BSF will be of much interest to them, horrible.

Anyone know how/why?

I experienced this at the Great Dorset Steam Fair with my Father-in-law (BB holder). The disabled parking was about 100m from the entrance but the ground was a field which had been ploughed with just the straw remaining from the crop which had grown there. Although he can walk a short distance, being totally deaf rough ground made this impossible. I took a wheelchair but pushing this up and down the 8 inch furrows was awful. Once at the entrance it was a further 200m to the activity ring, across smoother ground but still a crop field. There was no to/fro buggies or the like provided and we've not been back since, so I do understand the situation. Specifics may work best, rather than general 'this is bad' arguments and those affected could contact the club and enquire further on provisions for them to visit the speedway, citing their specific difficulties and what impact the change will have on them. Reasonable adjustments/exceptions are always possible surely? -

No irony there then. However is the argument line of "can't walk far" not hitting the mark in terms of persuading the promotion to adjust their position because, as this sponsor highlights, wheelchairs/scooters are in common usage so perhaps an argument based on wheelchair/scooter access would be more persuasive? -

There are things like walking aids, some which have seats, my father in law has one, as well as mobility scooters. Most people with severe walking issues have something to assist. I agree with the arguments about letting them continue to park as before, so don't bite at that! -
Good news, Jolly has experience and is a nice guy.

Not sure that Chris understands the transfer window, given what he reportedly says - you can make changes after six meetings but then not again until the last six meetings? That's not right surely?

Isn't that the case for every single car park? It's not H&S in my view but an issue of being sued after an accident or reducing insurance costs/liability -
So would I. I remember the Golden Greats events - I'd definitely go to see something like that.

And leave after all the public have left? -

Thing is, most public events nowadays have disabled parking (if parking spaces are provided at all) as those spaces nearest to the entrance/perimeter. In this case, can there not be space allocated near to where the riders parks their vans - I assume they'll still be allowed to drive inside the venue? If so, as far as I remember, this area is not segregated from the public so presumably a van hitting a person isn't thought to be as much of a risk as a car? -

Am I missing something here, are mobility scooters/wheelchairs banned from entry as well? Most blue badge holders I know and see are able to either walk short distances or used a scooter/chair? Absolutely right though that it should apply to all vehicles. -
Have never liked Tungate, always seems to have a ready excuse and a moody outlook. Missed a few meeting for Peterborough last season when it seemed he couldn't be bothered - including one at Foxhall where I felt really sorry for the rest of the side & manager. No thanks.

People are saying 6 matches but the announcement made on this forum says 25% and then 75% of league fixtures are complete - it doesn't say for each team. Is it certain it's 25% of every teams' fixtures?
-
Is it 25% of fixtures overall? So start later and you could still makes changes after just a handful of meetings? No doubt there'll be winners and losers as always and we'll all debate it on here

Not his strongest track results wise but hasn't been too bad in the British Finals there - in 2018 he beat Bewley, was the only rider to lead Lambert beyond the first bend and I think also led Cook for 3 & 3/4 laps, just missing out on a top two place. -
Good idea to restrict in my view, even if it's only to a lesser degree.

Disagree completely. There's little/no fat on him! In any case, weight has only a very very very small impact on speed. Ability, racing brain and machinery play a much bigger part. -
The thing about averages is they never tell the whole story. The team they're in and their confidence etc. play a huge part. Wright may have been at 1 3 or 5 but was fairly certain of finishing ahead of his team partner in a lot of races, Jensen not so much. A new track for Wright could erode or build his confidence, having a big impact.

I think it really depends on a lot of factors - the disjointed home fixtures at Peterborough don't help the home riders and of course every team needs riders who are good away from home as well as those good at home. -
1. Swindon 2. Sheffield 3. Belle Vue 4. Wolverhampton 5. King's Lynn 6. Ipswich 7. Peterborough
