  1. He did well at Rye House and has progressed well at Leicester forming a good partnership with Nicholls. Swindon are reaping the benefits.
  2. There has to be one day when an injured rider returns?
  3. Quite possible, but I've been to other meetings where he's been ill and my perception is that he does suffer a lot with illness compared to other riders. The Wright drop out was obviously mandatory following concussion and Nicholls also has a mandatory ban for a non-speedway related injury. Really disappointing for the fans when these things happen as we all have conspiracy theories which may or may not be true but it's always the fans that are the losers.
  4. Presumably Kennett & KP have already been given the wink that they will be riding for another club in the merry go round we have these days? Peterborough? Lynn?
  5. Maybe they were then but on updates no-one got within even half a second. How do they record race times these days?
  6. Well done indeed. Surprising there were no other fast ones though. Are race times still a person with a stopwatch?
  7. I expect the 'suffered a reaction' line to come out. Fact is, if you're not fit to race, you're not fit. The meeting involved is irrelevant. If he is fit then ride. Thing is, the safety of others has to come into it.
  8. Me too, Sal took him off. Clouting by name........ Also remember him pulling off his dirt deflector and chucking it along the stock car track at Foxhall!
  9. Seems Heeps had a bad one tonight and withdrawn from meeting - any news on how he is?
  10. Jeremy Doncaster (although Scott Nicholls isn't far behind).
  11. I don't blame the promotion at all and the fans at the track witnessed a decent meeting.
  12. Yesterday was such a shame for Peterborough (Johnson and the other Boro riders) but I think the fans should be proud of the display they gave. There was some good racing and they all looked as though they were giving it every effort. Even Agertoft & Morley who must have known they'd be unlikely to score, turned up at short notice and gave it a shot. Well done Panthers!
  13. There was actually some good racing on the heath tonight, was impressed with Becker in particular. Bomber always tries that bit harder when up against Nicholls, who also provided some good action. KP got his points from the gate and Heeps had a good couple of passes.
  14. It's only a matter of time, Morley and Agertoft are some way adrift so far. To be expected but Oystercard with three wins!
  15. Decent crowd here as Panthers take the lead after 3 heats!!!
  16. As the first person to act violently it's ironic that Cook has not served a ban but the other two have.
  17. I feel he will ride, as will Fricke. I don't see him getting a wildcard next season so this could be his only route in.
  18. That was from 3 rides. Got 10 the following week, when last at Foxhall, guesting for the Aces. Irrelevant now as they've picked the mighty Ulrich.
  19. Usually does very well at Lynn, so wouldn't read much into that - also against the spooners.
  20. It's a different idea but I don't think it would make much difference - if a rider is under-performing they are at risk of being dropped now and no-one would usually drop a rider who's increased his average. i think the downside to the current system is the use of the rolling averages and allowing clubs to drop/sign riders willy nilly. There was a good article on this in last weeks' Speedway Star. There's no loyalty shown by most clubs anymore, so why should riders. Fans don't get to follow/relate to them either as it's all so transient. Also, there should be some employment protection, in exchange for lower wages maybe?
  21. I also think he means up inside somewhere personal, as that seems to be the tone of the message.
