  1. I think he would - it's not as though he wouldn't have had opportunities to race there. I do accept though that the added coin in his pocket will have allowed him to spend more on his support team and there is more pressure from the media/fans there to do well.
  2. Bewley would have progressed anyway, no matter where he rode, in my opinion. He was on the upward curve anyway. There's nothing about being afraid either if you're offered an eye watering salary. I see other old hands such as Hampel and Protaseiwicz are still doing well. The poles didn't do so well when up against the others at the SON did they, so the view of where might be tough is different depending on who you are.
  3. I never said it was! All I was saying was that those were the set down rules, to which the riders objected, to clear up the point that the BSPA had no idea what to do.
  4. All the arguing on here about no rule being in place and fair to have a run of between Bewley Harris and Brennan - they hadn't met each other so that would not be a fair outcome at all. Harris had only met Nicholls out of the top five and he'd lost to him. The rules were in place and clear, to declare a result a ballot should have taken place between the three highest scores at that point. This is what the riders objected to and the BSP caved in. Deapite that, I think a restaging is the fairest result though.
  5. There was, a ballot but the riders didn't like that idea and they didn't stand up to them. Don't think the fans would have like that either!
  6. I think someone did that earlier in this thread. According to that it should have been draw the names from a hat to get the first three positions because Harris hadn't ridden against either Bewley or Brennan. Nicholls will have been gutted as he'd already raced the other four in the top five and with 7 was within reach of the top two places.
  7. Disagree on that though, Harris hasn't faced either Brennan or Bewley so he must have stood behind Brennan, who beat Bewley.
  8. Simply not fair whatever they decide, apart from restaging the meeting. Some riders have had easier races than others.
  9. Sadly rain is always a risk at B Vue, which may explain the size of the crowd. Was nicely poised for a great finish, they should restage it because any other result is an injustice. Harris has not raced Brennan or Bewley whereas others have faced all three (Nicholls for example). Fans want to see a full meeting.
  10. It's a great weekend and a lovely city. The atmosphere during the day, if the weather holds, is goods, as is the afternoon event before the meeting gets underway (fanzone?). We've stayed outside and got the train into Cardiff - now it's an earlier finish this is feasible from a fair distance away.
  11. Lots of people are moaning about the racing, I thought it was great. The way Lahti kept riders behind him was top drawer - as commented on by Louis. You don't have to have lots of overtaking for it to be good racing, although there was some of that too. We'll done Vojens, a track you need to think on not just twist the throttle open.
  12. Makes me sad to be a brit because so many on here do nothing but moan about everything
  13. It wouldn't play on my browser so had to download 'dplay' app and it was easy to find on there.
  14. May have to get someone else to replace Barker if the rumours are true about him failing a drug test?
  15. Not Witches fans though on current showings. Batch did very well against Belle Vue last week, and has a better record in Ht15's than King.
  16. Did Holder fall in this meeting? For a wildcarded 'GP star' his score was low and I was wondering if he'll be at Foxhall on Thursday. .
  17. Always a competitive meeting, looking forward to it.
  18. Were you there? He definitely was trying but just made poor starts and did pass a couple of times. It was a pretty good meeting tonight, plenty of action.
