  1. I didn't realise until looking on the speedway gb site that away from Alwaton, Nicholls was ahead of Basso in the averages. At home is where Basso did better.
  2. was a dull affair for me, with it being so one-sided. Would've rather been at Monmore.
  3. He didn't but Bewley did and he moves up as Bewley qualified from this years' gp. Or they could do what they did last year when they picked Holder and Bewley and ignored the next places from the GP challenge?
  4. Don't forget they finished equal top of the league on points with Sheffield, ahead of the Aces.
  5. There might be some passing if Ipswich make the starts, otherwise I think it'll be a damp squib.
  6. His signing is of course for the final. They would've won easily tonight without Lambert but it should mean a bit better crowd I'd hope. The first leg at Foxhall was well supported despite being on TV and it only being a semi-final - not something that can be said for the TV matches normally. I hope the signing includes 2023
  7. Yep, he's going for the record number of wildcards
  8. No chance - have you seen how many last heat deciders there've been at Foxhall this year
  9. And he should have been in this year, but they went for those who finished behind him in the challenge.
  10. That's largely down to the bike and how it's been prepared. Rider weight can also have an impact and he is not overweight either, just not 6 stone. You obviously didn't see the first running of the British Final then when in his first three races was only beaten by Bewley and Brennan? Got the better of Harris, King and others. He's had a poor season for the Panthers that's all.
  11. Looks an awful crowd, there needs to be more incentive to attend?
  12. Agree, if your club does not make the play offs then you don't want the season to end too soon so your proposal here deals with that.
  13. Yes it is and as we all know, the weather can change for the better or worse at any point and no forecast is always accurate. The site I use predicts an inch of rain, due to stop at 6pm and be dry thereafter.
  14. No reason why not. He said he's been happy with his schedule this year and wants more of the same next year.
  15. He has already said he's continuing next season.
  16. That's not giving credit to the opposition. There's no conspiracy here, just that the Stars found three panthers with the desire.
  17. Totally. We're always at the back of the queue.
  18. It does. As I said earlier, at Peterborough you can be spinning for almost the whole lap - it's a full throttle circuit and it's shape/banking make that essential. I've used tyres with more wear on than Basso's had (Barum and Mitas) and they didn't puncture. His only got a hole like that on bend 3 because he was riding it flat having punctured on bends 1 and 2. They are clearly not up to the job in hand. If they continue to have to use Anlas then they need 2 new tyres each for each meeting at Peterborough as a minimum. The engine issue will not be solved whilst Poland rule the roost. Does anyone else recognise that we seem to be having more injuries now than ever, even with air fences and a lot happen in Poland. The violent lifting should simply not be happening but it needs the FIM to take charge over these machines. Already we have tracks having to be bald/slick otherwise riders can't cope. Watching speedway from years ago there were some really rough and bumpy tracks but they got on with it and coped OK and still raced each other. It's the cart driving the horse. Shame.
  19. There have been at Peterborough all this season at least.
  20. The picture of basso's tyre to me shows they are of poor quality. The edge he was using was clearly worn but that doesn't mean a whole piece of the tyre should break away from the centre as it seems to have done.
