  1. Yes, asked this several years ago when I first saw Nicki P doing this in the GPs. As others have said there is a rule in Britain which says the cut out must be attached when the engine is running, this includes after the race has concluded. After NP started it others followed suit like the sheep they are - not sure what they think they're gaining to be honest but if for some reason the bike does pick up speed unexpectedly I hope no-one is seriously injured.
  2. I'm surprised Doyle has been picked ahead of Fricke for Australia - let's see who gets a GP wild card pick.
  3. It was a tense meeting which made it more enjoyable. Given both the #LEISHE meetings were good to watch, the only way is downhill I fear. If the first few races of the final are not like last night who'll be first to moan about it on the forum?😁
  4. Is Allen a Sheffield fan, no way Douglas was leaning on Jack there, Holder came out into him.
  5. I'm fed up with people picking on Tatum. He does a good job and is enjoyable to listen to, get off his back!
  6. They are supposed to be 'wild' cards and not simply the next three after 7th in this years' competition so I have no problem with Becker if he was picked. New faces I'm all for.
  7. That's right, I was one of them saying that. At last some justice happened which even the home ref couldn't change.
  8. Think this is over as a tie now, just put Sheffield in the final and run it next week😊
  9. Yes, Vaculik has had 5 wildcards before, that's more than enough chances, what has he got over them, oh yes, we know. As to who else - anyone, as long at it's not him.
  10. Ha, not sure you were being intentionally funny. BSN has provided me the ability to watch meetings I would never have attended, different teams from across the UK and keep my interest in the sport up. Football is on TV all the time and stadiums are not empty. Fans will watch a game from a foreign league, because it's football and it creates talking points. As long as the hosting club is getting a share then it makes great sense to me. What should be on offer though is even more for those attending in person - the analysis, interviews, stats provision etc. otherwise it does sometimes feel like you're more involved if you're not there. You get pits views, reaction interviews, stats on performance etc. which the attendee does not, and they've paid more for it!
  11. Please, no, he's had about 5 wildcard picks over the years, let's have someone new, worked with Kurtz.
  12. I'm hoping for a rain off on October 9th so will be dancing away that week (i'm in Paris on 9th) so a move to 13th or 16th would be perfect, sod anyone else 😆
  13. Actually been warm when the sun's been out, which it has here near Ipswich for much of the day. Great drying weather with the wind but the TV company need certainty, not "well it might not rain and be fine" kind of answer. If TV not there it may have been a different decision.
  14. I think DJs most famous failure was nothing to do with the engine but a cycle part - who knows if he'd done anything to that though!
  15. April and May are the driest months in the UK on average, so perhaps it's a spring sport? However, that's on average, interestingly (to me 🙂) August was one of the wettest months in both 2019 and 2024. There's nothing as predictable as rainfall🤣
  16. I don't think any of the changes were designed to stop BZ winning at all, you give him too much credit. They were designed to keep both fans and riders interested in the result to as late as possible, doesn't matter who those riders are.
  17. That may be true but it's also true that the speedway generates far less income for the promoters than stocks. When you have less money it's much more difficult to spend on increasing the entertainment. I don't think better racing is the answer at all.
  18. Well, that GP had a flat finish! For me Kurtz deserved the title by beating Zmarlik on so many occasions, 5 GP wins in a row was awesome. That one piece of bad luck in Prague may play on his mind but it didn't seem so. You could argue it was poor preparation or that the bike got into on a position to cause the chain failure but I consider it bad luck. Who knows, if that hasn't happened he may not have won all those GP's but he couldn't have done any more.
