  1. Real shame that pedersen had quit. I like him and am surprised he's decided to let all the fans down having only had one go. Falls are part of speedway.
  2. He's finished. End of April before he's fired I reckon.
  3. January was great here, no rain at all and not cold. It can rain any time of year, rubbish happens.
  4. what a poor crowd, looked almost empty!
  5. Aces let down badly by their No1 tonight, think 4 will be his lowest score all season.
  6. There was never an issue with his scores at home. The test is away from the showground.
  7. I think Ipswich will win this one but I'd expect a few falls.
  8. It all seems too complicated. I preferred it when we only had 4 channels after C4 started in 1982.
  9. Great news to have Nicki back on these shores, nice guy.
  10. Seems a little bit of envy on here, great work by Ipswich to create such interest and excitement for British speedway
  11. Disagree on that. Many a time there are riders who think a track is unsafe but many others don't. If you refuse to ride then face the consequences. Does anyone remember that great British Final won by Kenny C who raced and passed others, with a broken leg, on a track which others said was unsafe and wanted the meeting off? Not so many prima donnas in those days though and they did ride on some really rough tracks, with no air fences.
  12. Yep, blatant if wanting to defend that they have the best riders in the GP but they do not say that. It's a business and selling tickets, gaining sponsorship and venues to host are their primary concerns.
  13. That's an odd argument given that riders move around teams all the time from one season to another. No point giving the 100+ examples to illustrate. Andersen was rubbish but Boro are keeping him.
  14. Yeah but if Worrall had been good in previous years but poor last season, he may well have said well, he was rubbish last season so that proves my point!
  15. Worrall is not a bad signing, Andersen is but no-one will know for sure until the season starts.
  16. Not from the promotion if they get a nice fat loan fee
  17. We could debate for hours - I just remember chatting to a former World No.3 who said they didn't like spending money so would re-use as much as they could, including their van and they never suffered with machine failures etc. any more than anyone else. Personal choice I guess but if I was a promoter I'd be arguing against costs for new vans and bikes every year Looking forward to the team, and that at Ipswich, being announced in the coming weeks, until then who knows!
  18. Many of the youngsters buy new stuff as well, because that's what the pros do Engines have always been traded second hand and I agree that's an expense beyond the reach of many but frames, wheels and everything else can last years. It puzzles me why a pro should think a new wheel, for example, is any better than the one they have, as long as it's true!
  19. And that's where money gets wasted - totally unnecessary expenditure.
  20. William Cairns has been riding in the UK for a number of years now. Great opportunity for him in the US. His elderly relative Dennis Cairns was still riding well into his later years - may still be.
