I don't see why they can't legitimately call it off if they have a depleted team, on agreement with the opposition & Mr Morris. I'd much rather see a meeting with two full teams.

Indeed. Jeremy Doncaster said in an interview recently that he only ever had three speedway bikes in total at any one time but successfully rode in GB, Poland and Italy/Germany without issue. Of course they'll say they need this and that in the hope it is funded for them.

I always find xcweather to be the most accurate, got that site from Racers & Royals on here. -

A good sized crowd can look small there as it has a high capacity and the back straight stand holds quite a few. Probably still around 2-2.5k there. -
Ipswich v Sheffield 20th April

Ha but no. Superb for Oxford so far this year and beat Doyle last night a couple of times as well. I expect once the summer comes/tracks become slick his form will dip but unbelievable really to have a 30 year riding career. Holder cost the Tigers victory tonight but it shows that UK speedway is pretty demanding. -

Using the same equipment as last year, not bad for nearly 46 eh? -

The amount of rain is tiny though, less than the water cart would put down -

Not guaranteed though, just look at last season, 15pt max one night, 7 the next. -

Should be a straightforward home win with no-ne able to touch Doyle. Musielak didn't do well at Foxhall last season but Holder has had some success there. As others have said the Ellis/King match up should favour King. I predict a 51-39 win for the Witches. -

Musielak only scored 5 there last year so not sure they'll miss him much. -

Douglas would've been the form pick. -

Belle Vue are a good side though, saw that at foxhall on Thursday. If you aren't making starts it makes it tricky. -

So Zagar then? -
There is a bus stop about 10 minutes walk away on Bell Lane (there is a short cut through the trees & houses but if you don't know where you're going best to stick to the road) which is the No.66 service which goes to/from the town and the railway station.

Belle Vue the better side tonight and Bewley is still not firing fully. Kurtz loves foxhall and Lidsey impressed. For Ipswich, Doyle was beaten just the once but King was the weak link given the long tail, although Hume did have one great ride. Was freezing though! -
Your Worst Rain-off Experiences
SPEEDY69 replied to TonyMac's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I didn't have one in those days and rode everywhere. Bradford and back in a day was the longest journey to speedway for me, 4 hours each way. Always been a biker but got a car when I got a wife -
Your Worst Rain-off Experiences
SPEEDY69 replied to TonyMac's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
My worst rain-off experience was in 1990 travelling from Ipswich to Reading on a Monday night. I had persuaded my Dad to join me in riding to Reading on our motorcycles, which was an effort considering he only rode in the dry and local journeys only. Having left work and rushed home, checked the meeting was on and the weather forecast seemed fine, I called for Dad and we set off in the sunshine. When we were about 90 miles into the journey and on the M25 it started light rain but darker clouds were ahead. The rain stopped and we pulled off the M25 for a chat - Dad said he was going to turn back if it rained again but we set off again towards Reading when it did start raining again. It was only light so I carried on all the way to Smallmead where it was chucking it down and the meeting was called off (about 7pm). I then had the 2.5 hour journey back in absolute heavy rain, waterproofs leaked at the crotch after a time and my legs, feet, arms and face/neck were soaked and so cold I struggled to move by the time I got home, with a filthy bike to boot! I passed Dad on the way back, on the A12, as he was doing about 40mph due to reduced visibility - I was maxing out at 60mph, visor up. We never went to another meeting together on our bikes although I did on my own. -

You have to be skilled to be good there and pass people, not just have a fast bike. Some do it well, others flounder. -

Not allowed, how stupid is that? So a guest is allowed but not a new signing - sometimes the rules make no sense to me. -
Not really Peterborough's fault though that Pedersen has wimped off.

They wouldn't drop him, he scores too many points and their fans would lynch them. If they did another club would dangle even more money.
