Of course he'd say that and in any case it is up to the referee not the riders. A GP would've gone ahead on a surface as wet as that. Walking on it and finding it slippery is completely different to riding a bike on it. One or two races and it'd have been dry.
-
A blade would have made no difference, some riders clearly didn't want it on. There was barely enough shale on there to be bladed anyway!
-
It didn't need a blade, the track was fine. However we know about Aussies and wet tracks ๐ The track is smooth and consistent, the tail ways the dog again - a ref on the 80s-90s wouldn't have called that off. Those that turned up to watch will think again the next time there's a shower on the forecast and who can blame them.
-
As part of a larger interview - this was at the time when discussions on weight were going around. I think it's partially an excuse. On his day he can still mix it there, the PO final at the end of 2021 I'll bet Bewley & all had wished he had no pace ๐ 4. Scott Nicholls - 1, 3, 3, 3, 3, 1' = 14+1
-
I don't recall that's quite what he said but in any case he was what, third highest scorer at Sheffield where many said he'd get nothing. Speedway is unpredictable and at the fantastic Glasgow track he outpaced them all recently. Would be good to have the British final there one year, maybe a GP too.

He is gating very very well at the moment so fancy he may do quite well on Thursday.

Good to see Kvech top the charts in this one for the Stars (8pt average). I don't think there needs to be panic but Castagns is clearly out of this depth. -
Glad he's found his sport, well done Ashton.

Think this will be tight, 47-43. -
He was, not bad at the dustbowl Worky either - crazy schedule he has had over the last 2/3 weeks given that he works at his landscaping gardening job in between racing.
-
Used to be worse when it was 16 hour drives through the night with bikes from the UK, at least now they fly.

Was scouring the rule book to check what to do ๐ -
Huh? Think you've eaten too many skittles ๐ We definitely don't agree on the oh let's forgive him he's only a boy issue and I never called for any further punishment, you must be mixing me up with another poster.
-
What else do you expect? Any infringement in a race which causes a fall is always an exclusion, if Ray Charles isn't refereeing.
-
What for Rushen or any other rider that does it? Exclusion from that race.
-
That's a ridiculous comparison. My choice to form a relationship with one girl when I was 16 was proven not be the best but I fail to see how that's related to racing a bike. Equally a 17 year old driver who's just passed their test may choose to drive around a bend on the opposite side of the road - when they kill others would you shrug it off, oh well they made a bad choice....? Every rider knows turning left on the straight, especially when another rider is so close, is a definite no no.
-
Nothing to do with age and you shouldn't need to learn by forcing other riders to fall. He chose to move left - it wasn't something outside of his control.
-
I h000pe he didn't get the part?
-
Third highest scorer at Sheffield, what does that say about the rest, including our GB star and No.1 ๐ I always thought this team would be unpredictable and so far it's turning out that way. As long as they all give it 100% I'm happy, especially after seeing the lack of effort from Foxes riders last night. The only consistent so far is how well King is going.
-
He should have shot from the hip, would get more talking going and add stuff for media to use.
-
If they could drop him they should. Lidsey and Batch also dreadful, it's the lack of effort I'd find appalling if I were a Foxes supporter.
-
Never said it was. It seems some riders just get injured more than others.
-
What, for the reform or tory clowns? 14 years of their rule has left the country in tatters, and well done Nigel for brexit, what a disaster.
