Yes I was. They won't be the only riders to be defeated at the NSS (and I'm including all of the Ipswich team here) because when behind from the off, it's very difficult to make up speed there on a home rider, which we saw with all of the Ipswich and Leicester team. On Nicholls specifically, his starting ability has never been a strong point but in the Championship, where he's outscoring King I think, overtaking is more of a possibility for him. However, riding at No.4 is stretching and as the weakest rider above the reserves, he should be at No.2. Oh, and those 14 points from "years ago", were probably only about 5 meetings ago for him π
-
I think that's a bit harsh on some of the riders, it's only a few years since Scott got 14 at the NSS and Bangs did ok in the world cup or whatever it's called plus Lawson has also done ok there before. When you miss the start you're not going to overhaul a Belle Vue rider, as King and Musielak found out. You have to give credit to Belle Vue, their riders are so good around there I don't see them being beaten, it's their away performances that will be key to winning the title this season, which I think they will. It's a game of two halves so let's see what happens Thursday but I still think King and Nicholls should swap riding positions.
-
Does anyone with Lawson? I just think it gives King an easy 3pts there which Nicholls could cover - heat 14 often has a tactical change or added pressure, maybe that's what they're trying to avoid.

A clothes peg and some stiff card was the elite option.

Electric bikes don't appeal to me at all. May as well have those little sit on ones from the seaside with 10p in the slot.
-
It baffles me why they don't change the riding order to swap King and Nicholls. Surely better to have your better rider at 4?

Guaranteed win in heat 8 helps, certainly at home. Riding elsewhere in the team will be the test. He is in good form and I hope it continues but he's not been any better than Scott in the championship so far. -
"an exciting announcement about the future of the club at 7pm on Wednesday evening. Coleman has reached an agreement that will open considerable opportunities for the Rowe Motor Oil Premiership champions."

π²british_speedway_news on insta, oh well that fan has got it wrong then!

Ok thanks. I found the post, it was one on a British Speedway Instagram and said he was back racing for Wroclaw vs Zielona Gora. A tad misleading then.
-
So, is Bewley back riding this Sunday - was sure I saw a post on social media saying he was? If so, will he turn out for Belle Vue on Monday or does Doyle have to remain for the full 28 days?

I agree with the bold part, however no place of work is a charity (unless it is an actual charity of course) and if you don't perform you're rightly moved on.

But some people like to read what was in the postponed programme and at least it's still relevant a couple of weeks later rather than three months later when that one gets re-staged. It was also more than just an insert with race details, there was some commentary/narrative. Maybe Β£2.50 would've been better. -

Fair play to the Ipswich promotion, they now provide audio for the streaming service before the meeting and some of the interviews during the meeting to those at the track. And on the big screen of course. -

I think he rides at No.2 though doesn't he? Not quite the same as being at reserve. -
Mr Irritating & unreliable.

It hasn't, not markedly anyway other than the usual variations seen throughout a season. -
I'd heard it had to be removed from his jacksie π

The Doyle effect is working so far π -
I don't think that's overpriced at all, two coffee's from Starbucks is about that much! π

I do remember him getting some big cheers at Lynn in the twilight of his career so he must have had some exceptionsπ
