  1. Looks to have been a close meeting, Edinburgh's reserves look dreadful from the scorechart, are they?
  2. Just caught up with this, decent meeting with Jody Scott looking very impressive and Lambert really unlucky with his puncture. Klindt's brown envelope to the ref worked for his Ht15 roller😁
  3. I've been to the meeting s at Foxhall this season and haven't noticed any decline from last season. In fact, the new TV screen has added to the experience and once they get interviews onto that for the crowd to hear it will be even better. Some people just love to moan.
  4. I gave my reasoning in a follow-up post. Better than Doyle is subjective in terms of team benefit. At the NSS not many score more than Bewley but they will win all their home fixtures anyway. Away from there it's not so certain.
  5. Who knows, it's theoretical of course but at I said Doyle brings more than just points.
  6. I make them favourites because I think Doyle's persona in the pits and potential away from the NSS makes the Aces stronger on the road.
  7. BV nailed on now to be Premiership champions.
  8. It's normally much drier in Sept & Oct when the meetings will be run, silly trying to do that in late spring & summer..... In other news, recently watched the British Final from 84, run on a very wet Coventry with KC and his broken leg. So if we used to get meetings on in the wet before but don't bother now, what's the preference? For me, it's the former, with regular meetings on and postponements a rarity. I'm in the 1 point each and not re-run them camp to focus minds.
  9. Exactly. Fuel isn't the only cost: "Driving a petrol car in the UK costs roughly 15p to 20p per mile for fuel alone, depending on your vehicle's efficiency. However, the total running cost (including tax, maintenance, insurance, and depreciation) averages about 49p per mile. "
  10. Is it though? Average per mile cost to run a car, according to Google, is 49p per mile, so for a 200 mile round trip, that's just shy of £100. How much was the coach?
  11. How do you know this? Maybe the novelty wore off, or the field did not entice, or people just felt they'd done it - that was the case with a couple of my friends.
  12. Tom has been poor for Ipswich on more than one occasion so far this season, so are you saying he's not really ready for the premiership yet? I don't think you are so he's simply inconsistent.
  13. Michael Lee never suffered riding against experienced guys and there're been plenty of others, it's not about age at all. Parnitski is a gater and that's what he did in GP2, simply needs to learn how to race.
  14. It's not just about money, I don't find Manchester to be much of a draw so if it gets called off i'll feel the weekend was wasted. You pay your money and take your choice😉
  15. It's a six hour drive and then the cost of a hotel. Went to Prague instead for one night and spent less than it would cost to go to Manchester plus had a lovely city to spend time in at cheap prices.
  16. Agreed I think it was because, for once, the ref got it right and didn't take the easy option, especially with BZ involved as he's been very fortunate on other occasions when crashes have occurred.
  17. That's very dangerous and should be investigated every time it happens.
  18. And there's one problem. It should be about the fans, not the riders. If they think it'll affect their earnings they may not be so resistant
  19. I quite liked Cardiff when it was tricky with a few bumps, to me that was also quality racing as there's a difference between those who can handle that, skill wise and mentally and those who can't was evident.
