  1. Take a chill pill. There's no way Ipswich won't be holding speedway in 2026, see you at the first fixture๐Ÿ™‚. The last thing the sport needs is vultures circling whilst not paying any money to support it ๐Ÿ™‚
  2. Exactly, no reason he couldn't be clear on that, that's what Sheffield had said before their investors turned up...and then left.
  3. But he could have been more re-assuring over the period since he said it was up for sale as it was still possible there'd be no speedway at Foxhall in 2026, which is what was concerning for many.
  4. They're good but you can't go wrong with Tetley I find, the bonus being they can be had with less coin.
  5. 100% agree on this and it's about following others. Someone will get a new tuner or designer part and win a couple of races and then the sheep follow. There are so many examples of this: tall seats, magura-type levers, expensive clutch plates, front forks, tubeless tyres, ignitions and then engine parts or short stroke engines which someone says gives an additional 1 hp which they then have to deal with as the bike 'spins up' on the track. Then there's rider things like dangling the right leg ("it worked for Zmarzlik so that must be why he's multi world champion") rather than sitting further back or getting a longer seat, dropping the clutch repeatedly on the start line (which makes absolutely no difference to their start) and lots of others.
  6. Erm, I mentioned lots of things which I don't need to repeat.
  7. That would be a great addition. Transponder feedback by lap per rider etc. could also be added - access to other meetings' data going on on the same night would also be useful. Predictions for races/times etc. and prizes/shoutouts for winners, online interview quotes from riders/others involved in the meeting. Technology is what youngsters thrive on.
  8. I agree but there should have been more comms with fans, particularly giving reassurance on the continuance of the club. The alternative would have been to sell during the season so it's all sorted in good time for the following year.
  9. If it's Mayfield sports taking over though Aries, that would be attractive to riders who want to be in, or back in, the GPs.
  10. Yes. The TV ones at Ipswich last season were not that much different to any other meetings in terms of length and stop/start. Now some people have an issue with the grading breaks ๐Ÿ˜
  11. They did though Ian, TV meetings were very drawn out in the Sky days and have been much more pacy since - surprised you can't remember? This is one of the things Mr Morris did improve. Just needed more fan involvement trackside (TV commentary & interviews over the PA would have been useful) .
  12. If it is Mayfield then I think it's definitely Woffinden at No.1. The Mayfield man is good friends with him and got him his GP place for this season.
  13. Lidsey would be a poor signing, gating tart.
  14. What happens if they're a falling star?
  15. Average too high, ok when making the start but poor in traffic/first bend.
  16. I thought the picture showed Doyle and Ellis?
  17. Oh, misunderstood, thought that was what you were saying with +1. Who would be no. 1 then?
  18. Could've still moved to cover the inside or gone wider to block tungate, gives way in tight situations, seen it before.
  19. Lidsey made the gate in the final but is not hard enough in the first turns, got beat up again. He needs to fight for his position!
