I make them favourites because I think Doyle's persona in the pits and potential away from the NSS makes the Aces stronger on the road.

Lions vs Witches PL R1 11/06/2026 19:30 OFF!
SPEEDY69 replied to IainB's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It's normally much drier in Sept & Oct when the meetings will be run, silly trying to do that in late spring & summer..... In other news, recently watched the British Final from 84, run on a very wet Coventry with KC and his broken leg. So if we used to get meetings on in the wet before but don't bother now, what's the preference? For me, it's the former, with regular meetings on and postponements a rarity. I'm in the 1 point each and not re-run them camp to focus minds. -
How do you know this? Maybe the novelty wore off, or the field did not entice, or people just felt they'd done it - that was the case with a couple of my friends.

And there's one problem. It should be about the fans, not the riders. If they think it'll affect their earnings they may not be so resistant -
Do you miss the great occasion that was Cardiff ?

I quite liked Cardiff when it was tricky with a few bumps, to me that was also quality racing as there's a difference between those who can handle that, skill wise and mentally and those who can't was evident. -

No doubt this would've been on, in the 80s, but not these days. "Can you come to play badminton/marbles/tiddlywinks this week?" "What night?" "Thursday." "Oh OK yeah, i used to have speedway that night but it's rarely on these days so I might as well." -
Influenced of course by the almost wholly right-wing media. Where's the headlines praising the Government for the massive reduction in immigration and small boats which has been achieved since 2024/5?? How about the progress with the NHS and reduced waiting lists?? No, all we get is Peter Mandleson stood in his pants - as if that had any real impact on people in the UK 🙄
