Ipswich Witches v Leicester Lions - Thursday, 22nd May
SPEEDY69 replied to tocha's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Track wasn't like that at all. Ellis went around two on the outside on one bend, there were lines inside and out but the Leicester riders found the quick way around and seemed more determined, fighting for their positions/passes and Ipswich riders when behind either didn't want/have the capability or speed to pass. Again poor team riding from Brennan and Hume in Ht 14, no way Howarth should have passed them both. -

I saw no reason to criticise the track last night. There was plenty of passing and close racing but the Ipswich team by and large weren't doing it, that's where Doyle sits ahead. Leicester were just better. Those surprised by Becker - did you not see him last season, sure he got a hatful then and looked as fast as I'd seen any rider last year. -

Live in the moment & enjoy the time now, there's always a next year, ask Del Boy! -
That will obviously depend upon the extent of the dislocation and how much the other muscle/tissue is damaged. My total hip replacement was about 8 weeks, 10 weeks before I could go back to normal with sport etc. so it will be much quicker than that, as you say.

Is Speedway still a "working class" spectator sport?
SPEEDY69 replied to JamesHarris's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Yes it is still a 'working class', same as football always has been. Have you tried eating out these days, £20 for a burger and chips - what about live gigs/theatre, approx. £90 a ticket. -
Some riders in the past have continued with a broken scaphoid but there is a bit of discomfort!

Yeah the cut was from his peak on his helmet I think. If this is true then that's good news, although a dislocation is painful!! -

This has been reported from his Polish boss "The initial diagnosis is a hip injury. We don't know yet how serious this injury is or how long the break in our player's starts will be. The entire Włókniarz Częstochowa community keeps its fingers crossed for Jason! We look forward to your return," it said in a social media release." translated of course -

A forum is for discussion, I see nothing wrong, people are concerned and curious that's all. Don't see why it should bother you. Many people speculated on the US election before any facts were known, that's normal behaviour. -
Sheffield v Ipswich Thursday 15th May
SPEEDY69 replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
He blocked Thompson more than once and I don't think even really knew he was there. He's the senior rider and should have slowed when entering the bend on the outside because it was the gap which Holder exploited in the first place. They may not have stayed in front the whole race of course but it's not the first time I've seen a lack of awareness/team riding from Tom. Must be learning from Danny King! -

Piles? -
I thought it was quite entertaining to be honest. A slick track can provide good racing, as much as grippy one can be borefest. Harris was just poor, as he was at Foxhall but the other Lynn riders were there or thereabouts & thought they were unlucky with re-runs when in good positions. There was passing on the inside and the outside, so not one line only.

Can't be any worse than some fat boy/girl singer

I'm not on anyone's back and age doesn't have anything to do with it - some riders have been top stars when younger than Boughen and others novices in their late 20s (John Louis for one). He's been riding bikes since he was three and has travelled the world doing it so I'd have expected faster progress if was destined for greatness. The forum is great as it allows opinion & I've given mine - of course it could turn out to be an incorrect forecast, nothing is certain.
