  1. Would not mind a gamble on one of the young Americans, signs pointing to Mikkel B Anderson as well maybe. Had forgot about Branford and not a bad shout. Seems like Perks still looking for a team which is a bit of a shame.
  2. Surely an Ipswich asset. My guess would be Mikkel, and would be pleased with that
  3. I believe there is a second hearing next week.
  4. Was certainly very interesting, I thought guests were just for any of your top three though? Interesting stuff about TV/Streaming as well with a working party looking at putting a highlights type program on a channel like Motors TV.
  5. So no Garrity back next year. Maybe a Proctor or Jorgenson in to replace him?
  6. Bears to announce first rider on Thursday. Barker or Wright?
  7. Would be disappointed with that - we stuck with him this year with his injuries. Garcia instead?
  8. Interesting article in the local paper, would suggest Friday nights and maybe a 42 point limit? http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/teesside-speedway-club-redcar-bears-13909918#ICID=sharebar_twitter
  9. I'm very much in two minds about Garrity. Started the season superbly and was indeed box office. Got a couple of niggly injuries, and also got caught jumping the start a lot which seemed to really get into his head. If you get the start of season Garrity I would snap him up, if not then a pass from me I think. Personally would like to keep pretty much the same seven as this year. Barker has to be a must, along with Wright and Busch. Jonas increased his average I think and I would have him back again. Plenty of other riders I would like to see ride for us as well though. Proctor is one I would love to see back, and Paul Starke impressed me this year too.
  10. I would certainly hope Ben is back, he seemed to enjoy being a Bear and we enjoyed having him. You never know in speedway though, and riders often tell fans just what they want to hear.
  11. Would be very disappointing to not see him back at Redcar next season.
  12. Bears should lineup as : 1 Paul Starke 2 David Wallinger 3 RR Charles Wright 4 Jonas B Andersen 5 Josh Auty 6 Simon Lambert 7 James Sarjeant
  13. Meeting postponed and rescheduled for Monday. So at least 1 Bear should be riding!
  14. Barker is out after his crash last night. Will be no representative from Redcar I believe as four riders are now injured and other three have prior commitments.
  15. Up by at least 20% at Redcar
  16. I do tend to agree - definitely been more crashes into 1 and 2. A lot of the time due to a rider behind generating speed coming out of four and trying to divebomb past somebody.
  17. Gary Irving had a massive smash coming off the fourth bend, was amazed when he walked back to pits.
  18. Sounds like Bewley out of Glasgow next season - could we replace Garrity with Bewley and keep pretty much the same side (2 pointer for Ayres?)?
  19. I wasn't personally at the Sheffield meeting so not sure on numbers, just going off what Kevin Keay has said on the radio. I know he is very happy with the crowd figures. I'm rubbish at estimating crowds, but I reckon at the low point last season maybe around 350. I'd say regularly around 700-750 and on the rise.
  20. 25% was reported a couple of months into the season - i would hazard a guess that has increased further with I believe our last Friday meeting against Sheffield being the biggest crowd of the season. Atmosphere has definitely changed completely, and signs are very positive for this to continue. Still very definitely a work in progress, but I am already looking forwards to next season.
  21. For me Thursday night is speedway night! Our alternative has been Fridays, and crowds have not been noticeably down (although has always been helped by a healthy travelling support from Sheffield). I would imagine we would move to Fridays.
  22. To be honest, would not be surprised to see him at Glasgow next season.
  23. Not sure about Sarjeant, never seems to go particularly well here from memory. Starke is an interesting shout - has been impressive around here this year and was very keen to ride in Silver Helmet.
  24. Would be dull if we all agreed all the time! Bukhave impressed in the Silver Helmet, and depending on team building limits is one to look at definitely. The exciting thing is we now have riders actively wanting to come here.
  25. True - and would be a tough choice to pick between JBA and Perks. Aim should definitely be to try and get Busch in at reserve (and injury free!).
