  1. I can imagine we would be bottom of his list!
  2. Incredibly disappointing performance from the Bears, but firstly would like to congratulate Edinburgh. Superb performance, gated like demons and particularly early on good from the back. Always a pleasure with the Monarchs fans on the second bend as well. Wells was superb, but pretty much whole side was excellent. Love to watch Pickering around our track. For the Bears, only Barker and possibly the reserves can come out with any credit. Hugely disappointing from Berge and Jorgensen. Berge in particular just giving up after missing the gate, strangely looked very quick in the one race he did gate..
  3. He was almost trying too hard I thought. Was taking far too much speed into the corners, going too wide and having to lock up scrubbing off all his speed. Just couldnt seem to get the right lines all night. Enjoyable enough meeting - Berge was superb for the Bears, whilst MPT was excellent once again at the MPA. Really impressed with Bacon too - some clever passes.
  4. Back straight will be open - I believe they estimate around 1000 can be held there. Will be some extra pop-up bars as well I believe.
  5. I believe Proctor will guesting for Barker.
  6. Berge in for Kus, and Greaves in for Busch on a 28 day contract: http://redcarbears.co/2018/06/04/bears-bring-in-two/
  7. Agreed - a shame as Matej at his best is a good rider. Far from his best though this season. No-one obvious to come in so will be interesting to see who comes in.
  8. Would be interesting to see who comes in if true - can only see someone like Greaves really available but it is heatleaders we need.
  9. I think Ben would admit his scores have not been great, especially at home. He is unquestionably box office though, and he never gives up. If we had had another heatleader before now it would also have taken a bit of pressure off him.
  10. To be fair, whilst you may not have been there have been a few on threads hinting its Karma for Redcar.
  11. I'm struggling to see why anyone would see that. People are acting as if we are the first team to ever drop a rider. We are a struggling team. We are getting heavy defeats both home and away. We dropped our lowest averaging rider at home and replaced him with a proven heat leader at this level.
  12. Subject to BSPA approval, yes: http://redcarbears.co/2018/05/29/1561/
  13. Website looks to be down due to a hosting issue, I believe this is being looked at with them
  14. Very harsh on Jonas tonight - got some unexpected grip coming out of the second bend and lifted violently. Very unfortunate for Morley that he was outside him.
  15. Have to admit - I tend to agree. Busch has had 1 good meeting so far, but has been riding lawnmowers ever since. I do like JBA, and don't think he should be in the third heatleader spot but he has not had a great start either. Its a tough spot, as I dont think many could complain with being replaced but I'm not sure who is out there to come in who is in our budget. I
  16. I'm normally one to be positive but struggling tonight. Stewart, MBA and Barker aside I dont think anyone could complain if they lost their job. A meeting of two halves - Bears still very much up to heat eight but a pretty pathetic end to the meeting. I don't want to take too much credit away from Lakeside - Morris and Lawson were as expected but both Ellis and Zak were excellent. Far too easy for them though. Plenty of rumours about changes floating round the track - although I'm not sure who is around to come in. Would love a Jorgensen type to come in. Lastly, best wishes to Ben. Was a very nasty looking fall, and if he has got away with just a wrist injury as has been reported then very lucky indeed.
  17. Both teams at full strength as far as I'm aware - Mikkel drops to reserve so should be strong there with him and Jordan.
  18. Some excellent racing tonight - what can you say about Jordan Stewart? Quick and smooth tonight, best single performance I have seen for a while. The Andersens were both excellent too, particularly MBA. I actually feel a bit for Barker - was involved in some great battles but just not quite there. Struggling out the gate big time. Glasgow more than played their part though - thought Vissing and Kerr were excellent and both Harris and Worrall had good races. Ultimately let down at reserve, and missing Starke. Sarjeant should really be doing better than that.
  19. Matej's meeting in Czech has been postponed due to rain - he will now take his place in the Bears side. Will have to ride at number two, but now gives us a better chance!
  20. I think with Kus or a guest this would have been an interesting tie against an out of sorts Glasgow. Now makes the task look very hard. Can't really afford anyone to have an off night now. Starke missing probably weakens Glasgow as well as he flies round here normally, but hard to look past a Glasgow win.
  21. To be honest, Konopka probably looked the best of the unattached guys. Great to see Stewart have a good meeting though, passed both Barker and Jorgensen with great moves and just looked much smoother. Barker was again quick but having to do it all from behind, cant gate for love nor money at the moment.
  22. It's hard to know what the answer is. MBA and Stewart came in as rookies in this league and are definitely worth sticking with. Barker has not really fired yet, he is giving it absolutely everything but just not really making starts. Kus is the enigma really and must be one of the most in danger. And Theo is riding pretty much to his average, but we signed him to be a trump card and very much improve upon that average. Would be interesting to see the scope of who we could bring in. Could we tempt a Jorgenson to drop down?
  23. Fair play to Scunthorpe, but a pretty pathetic showing from the Bears. 4 heat wins at home is not acceptable. Thank god Tobias turned up, otherwise it could have been a whitewash. Going to be a long hard season I'm afraid. Whilst Garrity was absolutely out of order (and how on earth was Jonas excluded in heat 9?!?!), it at least livened up one of the dullest meetings I have seen at the STMP.
