  1. Smith probably would have been a better option, but Tully just a good reserve around Berwick? Let me guess you stand on the 3rd bend too?
  2. Lots of options for Berwick it would seem. Would like to see us sign Andrew Tully, okay hes probably not going to win Heat 13 +15 but I could see him going for the Track Record next season he's bloody quick around Berwick when he hits the front. Wethers and Sneedon would be two solid middle order riders also, lots to ponder
  3. decent side i think, injuries and the actions take often make big differences, the right move at the right time and Rye I reckon have a winning formula. Olly Allen will do well at this level
  4. The same could be said for the 2008 season, admittedly with a lesser well rounded 7, that said we had Adrian averaging not far off 10 I think all clubs are struggling, the Sport in the UK is dying a slow death. It's the best Sport in the world (in my opinion) on its day, it sad to see things the way they are
  5. Iwould put my neck on the line and say that Lee Seb and Ricy would cost more than Adrian, Michal and tero Berwick's highest averages for the tart of the 08 season. I could well be wrong if so I apolagise deeply to you Mr F
  6. Please read my post again, I'm sure your an intelligent bloke
  7. As a buisnessman or a salesman you are trying to get the customers money, whether you believe in it or not. Its what happens on the track that matters to the fans, One wonders if we had of kept or stunning form all throughout the season, would we be having these debates now. Because as I said in a earlier post everything was rosey back in March/April time? Have our crowds been that bad, Peter Waite didn't have as expensive riders as Complin, Alden and Ashworth then we had a PR statement saying we are one of the big boys with one of the biggest budgets in the PL. Bold statement you'd expect an improvement on track or at least consistancy as to what our is open to view for the fans, or are we still a small club and cut our cloth accordingly
  8. No, it was all just brown stuff, the stuff thats usually on your grid Cheers
  9. Poor lad Scott for having an opinion, shame on the lad Sorry Scotty, I'll do whatever you say, If I can have a prawn sandwhich.....
  10. Two problems Berwick have, the team and the track Berwick now have a great set up probably as gooder set up as anywhere. For any neutral who comes to Shielfield looking for a methanol fix, Berwick is a good first location I'd say. It's also about keeping your weekly customers content, content enough so that they are excited to come back because if they dont what will they miss? Not a lot on track sadly. I had a look back to the 2008 season where we finished 5th/6th place with a team of Rymel, Makovsky, Magosi, Franchetti, Aarnio, Clews and Scud. All 7 riders were capable scorers at least at home. But seriously, there is nothing outstanding about that team yet they still had a decent domestic season. We've got the riders there to really suceed, which is where it matters. The track okay its not the best in the world but its liable to at least one pulsationg meeting per year. There's also the two big meetings which will show Berwick in a great light. Much to be positive about we've got to start maximising what we have. People in this day and age don't want to hear about survival they want to back something that is thriving. Now at the start of the season when we were beating piss-poor outfits like Glasgow and Edinburgh everything was all rosey and the birds were singing. Crowds went down because the team and the racing was not up to scratch. If we can sort those two things out next year we could have a much better season with healthier crowds. Cheers
  11. Harrison better than Wells I'm not so sure Wells came on a lot last year. If he starts well next year he could be pushing an 8 point average
  12. Good news to hear Ricky is making a comeback in December, hopefully all goes to plan ahead of the 2013 season. Wonder of Berwick are possibly intrested in Mason Campton, capable rider and lists Berwick as his favourite track. Hmmm so 1. Ricky Ashworth 2. Mattieu Tresarieu 3. Robin Aspegren 4. David Bellego 5. Ricky Wells 6. Mason Campton 7. Nicki Barrett
  13. Hes a good young rider, Glasgow will miss him
  14. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  15. Excellent bring Todd Kurtz and one track Edberg back in and leave out Bellego, great stuff
  16. There is no (if) - they will run the BSPA would not give two high profiles meeting to a club who would potentially fold. Thats like giving Porstmouth FC the FA and the Carling Cup Final to hostor whatever it is called these days I hope you are fed up of reading certain posts, because the feeling is mutual about the cringeworthy brownosing from those who stand in the executive terracing. Or alternatively just start making cowardly threats to other Berwick fans via private message. Up to you, but I'll stick to Speedway Cheers
  17. 1. your teams top rider? Easy = Ricky Ashworth 2. your teams most improved rider? David Bellego 3. best match witnessed? Workington vs Somerset/Berwick the latter was potentially going to beacracker 4. worst match witnessed? which one at Berwick? 5. did your team do better or worse than expected? Average, about Berwick's level under the Andersons 6. best fans to visit your track? Berwick fansfor turning up every week home and away, fair play 7. best track( other than your own team) Workington 8. worst points of the season? Ricky's injury, being humiliated by the Witches
  18. Mon the Mighties!!!!! Great comments as usual by the lads, signing duff riders (which we did) at key times, messing up the averages, this has happened before. Aye we missed Kozza high fiving the adoring Berwick public but he's wasn't Ricky's or Nick Morris's class and Seb Alden is about as reliable when it matters as Chris Harris. I'm not even going to bother with Barnfield but as usual Berwick's finest making there excuses because there team FAILED on track as a 7 man team.
