  1. i've networked with many in the know Speedway people and the one thing i can say we AGREED on is that Shielfield Park is on a similar footing to the Edgar Jancarz stadium. I happened to see the World Cup meeting there not live of course just on the TV when Tomasz Gollob after a shocking first ride produced Gollob-esque brilliance from 10 years previous to win Poland the WC, it really was a site to behold the atmosphere, fans, racing and apparently Vodka sales went through the roof I went for the mineral water myself but it tasted just as good You ask the relevance of this to Berwick? I shall quality the above statement by saying These big meetings require top venues and from what I see at Berwick like Scott says above we probably have one of the best racing strips and stadia in Europe.. From a personal perspective I don't give a hoot what the score is today, because even in defeat there is victory, the finest riders like Davey Kennet, king and that Bomber Harris will be back at Berwick vying for a place in the 2015 Grand Prix. I can get drunk for that night forget how bad the current team is and dare to dream a dream just for one night ----------------------------------- Fair play to Razor/Heppie they obviously chose there words very well and the performance was a marked improvement a lot of doom and gloom pre meeting hopefully people are in better spirits. Bellego should push Vissing for that no1 jacket, when he is on it he's unstoppable.
  2. who cares, both nobodies outside the uk with world champion attitudes
  3. Racing was gate and go racing livened up in the final two, For the Bandits bellego and Visser were imperious Jensen was good value interesting style, should improve Berge impressed me as did Anders Thomson again the rest awful with Wolbert setting the standard from the off. He's capable of ripping Berwick to shreds tomorrow, but that's kev for you consistently inconsistent
  4. What a complete embarrassment for the Brum support... they would struggle to win meetings in the PL away from PB
  5. I can't wait for tapes up.. with my prawn sandwhich So who is the new team manager?
  6. Yawn... when's the next party... That's what really matters
  7. Edinburgh look one of the front runners at the moment. Intrestingly they aint having parties every other week I am sure Newcastle will either make changes or will find form soon enough, not like Newcastle to be struggling
  8. If you want that, go to Edinburgh.. they will get you trophies
  9. He rode for Krosno who are probably the poorest Polish team always broke signing rubbish riders, he was at reserve and scoring peanuts Joni Keskinen the 2nd
  10. Bomber should just give up Speedway, how the hell is he in Grand Prix complete joke
  11. Seems you where a little over-zealous there Cresecent Girl - the feeling is mutual we are all equally excited enthralled by the Bandits I don't forsee this one being a classic more a run of the mill win for the Bandits I've yet to see a good performance from Kevin Wolbert at Berwick, hopefully he's attending Vissing to top score for the Bandits Looking forward to see Anders Thomson, possibly double figures for him What will Steen Jensen do? Home win - Tigers repay the compliment 21 hours later (in my humble opinion)
  12. Looks a poor rider by the looks of his meetings and scores... The fact he wants to race over here because he can't get a Polish club says everything
  13. sayfutdinov has been flying in practice judging by his scores, sundstrom looking good as well
  14. Workington I reckon will win at Glasgow, Grazjonek and Bach give them an edge in 13 and 15
  15. I was just going to say that, I think him and Fisher got on
  16. sundstrom be a good signing going well in poland atm
  17. It’s still very early in the Speedway season but results have made for some interesting viewing, are we in for the tightest PL season yet? Somerset and Edinburgh have set the standard as two of the PL front runners for the last good few years. Those two will most definitely be contending for the title. Scunthorpe have had a rotten start in terms of results and now injuries must be a promoter’s worst nightmare with the campaign only so very young. Rye House while having a great start got a real doing from Plymouth (of all sides). Redcar after two heavy defeats on the road, looking decent with Richard Lawson spearheading there attack I do think we are very much in the teething phase and in the next couple of weeks I think more consistant results will happen In the meantime it’s interesting viewing Bring on the Action
  18. Berwick look very similar to 2013 on closer viewing. No Number One, Aspegren has been replaced by Kus (very inconsistant) Steen could still be the difference maker for Berwick in 2014 that being said if not we are alarmingly similar to 2013 We are out of the Group. Don't think we will beat Glasgow away and we will be lucky to get 30 at Workington Our saving grace to Workington at home maybe that Grazjonek and Bach have never racked up consistantly decent scores at Berwick paticularly the latter. So we are focusing in effect on the PL. Season over by June in my opinion
  19. I felt Simota would be a decent signing, I remember Newport fans wanted him back in 2009 Didn't see this one coming fair play to Plymouth, Devils fans are due a good season
