His average usually nose dives in and around July. Keeping the figure nice and low for potential suitors the following season. Did well for Berwick in 2014 though overall.

Seems to be the way sadly Don't remember the top boys of 15 years ago coming to Berwick and scoring 7 more like 16, 17. -

Great result... -
Just finished viewing the 4 or 5 races put up on the club's YouTube channel. If those races are the pinnacle and standard of the evening's "entertainment" at Berwick. It makes me query what were the other 56/71 races like? I have my theories... P.s I see the Monarchs up the road are not wasting time getting Worrall. He could have been a good signing for Berwick and a potential option for 2019.

Probably not

Don't think Worrall will go to redcar but possibly newcastle. Like Berwick devoid of any consistant top end strength. Take your pick of riders with the exception of Etheridge. The inclusion of Worrall may help with the balance of the team.

The top of the table stuff after a couple of matches has become increasingly tiresome. -
I remember Pepe beating rapid Kenneth bjerre in 2003. The latter possibly from 15 meters. Pretty sure he'd come in on a 5 now after a disappointing spell in the south west. Beating Milik and Krcmar fairly regularly in Czech so clearly still got it in abundance

In a word no Average top tier crowd across the top tier was about 10,000 Poland run meetings through the week we can't forget, such as individual and pairs matches for young and old or these now common place test matches Poland do. Poland also for it's flaws do allow non domestic meetings to be shared all around the country from say Krosno back to Torun and probably for half the price and double the quality of uk speedway.

Good signing by Berwick.. Both Redcar and Berwick have strengthened, this is surely a good thing for premier league speedway?

I'd be incined to agree with that -
Hi there, Further to my last post regarding the year 2000. I looked into pl speedway 2003 with an embarrassent of riches in regards to top rider quality. Some clubs were managing three top riders per team. The points limit has of course dropped overtime which will lower the standard as it did probably pre the 45 limit. Promoters continue to lose big money and fans generally speaking go but I don't think that same passion and desire is there for a fair percentage of supporters these days but I may be completely wrong. So looking back at march 2003 the list of quality riders was endless granted the league has gone from 17ish to 11 teams. No longer are the calibre of rider such as zagar, Zetterstrom, Schott, Stonewer, Wilson anywhere in sight with the exception of cook who has been great for his clubs and pl speedway at large. Maybe we were being spoiled back then Isle of Wight Newport and Reading bit the dust in the latter two's case potentially terminally. Admission continues to increase Edinburgh charging £18.50 what is the reason for this? Are todays "stars" asking for even more than when I feel the pl was at its strongest in relation to 2003_today Also appreciate rider shortage is an issue. Do riders use this to their advantage because they know there is no one else? Nicolai Klindt continues to get fixed up in the pl, for what? Also do riders ask for more expenses compared to back in the day? Riders nowadays are more professional they take protein shakes and participate in rigourous training at local fitness establishments, a far cry possibly from 15 years ago. Do you get the same buzz watching Danny king, Steve & Richie worrall, Scott Nicholls as fans did with Zetterstrom, Kylmikorphi, Bjerre? All comments and opinions welcome

good luck to the fella in poland and beyond

I do agree with most of that. Rose tinted specs definitely and I wonder if fans back then reminisced over periods in say the 80s or the 90s...

Yes I think they struggled that season, after a good 1999 season
