  1. First Polish meeting I watched. I think 2011? The disparity between Gollob on a Sunday and a Tuesday was rather striking. However his consistency from 1996-2011 (in Poland) is unrivalled, certainly in modern times at least. Great thread btw.
  2. Really have enjoyed the uploads so far. Great to be able to take a nostalgic look down through the archives, with a points limit of 45. Be interesting to know what the viewing figures are for such meetings?
  3. The energy and enthusiasm he possessed was really infectious. Very commendable the way he was progressing in the Sport and probably would have challenged for Scunny's No1 bib.. Rest easy Danny!
  4. According to Sportowefakty, Zmarzlik beat Lewandowski to the Polish Sports person of the year. What a result for the still relatively young Pole. Granted Lewandowski was non existent in the Euro's (as were his colleagues). But, arguably out with Messi and Ronaldo, he is the most prolific CF in the world. While I would concede a lot of money has been pumped into Speedway nationally. Comments pre the event (that I read), suggested that Speedway over there is still in the minutiae across parts of Poland. Bartosz's victory should give new exposure to the Polish Ekstraliga and hopefully Ligue 1&2. Had his injuries, learning his trade under Gollob. He has produced unrivalled consistancy for the past 5 years domestically, while staying loyal to employers Stal Gorzow. A great night for Zmarzlik and hopefully a break through for Polish Speedway.
  5. Quite clearly still struggling with basic grammar and spelling. I wouldn't hold out for an 'awakening' of sorts. Hopefully his offspring has a bit more decorum when it comes to other people's views. Keyboard commando
  6. Speedway in the Uk, needs all the support it can get.
  7. Great team just the sort of side that will re-ignite the passion and desire of the local populas. Are they seriously going to charge £17 for this in 2020?
  8. I guess Ricky's average decrease is symbolic of when a rider: just can't find the elusive set up in the modern day. No doubt he will be on a fair wedge, more fool his future employers.
  9. Can't be good for Berwick then as all the riders took a paycut or freeze for 2019.
  10. How would you know: you haven't been for years? You need to back Scott/Jamie by paying at the gate and therefore then help them fulfil their ultimate goal! 2020 could be the year.
  11. £20 next season then! About time the fans really backed the club, for all the hard work the current promotion and previous incumbents have put in.
  12. Would Pijper not be a more well-rounded rider than Gappamaier? Furthermore the former scoring consistently away from home. I'd like to see Jonasson be a given another chance. Fallen on harder times since exiting the GP circuit. The fact he wants to race at this (lower) level is really quite something: at this stage of his moderate career. Undoubtedly had the talent at one time beating the big boys of the Sport. Now slumming it (by comparison) in the championship - or whatever it is called these days.
  13. Why? He's a good gater, which is half the battle at places like Berwick.
  14. Do we have any inclination as to what the points limit for 2020 may be?
  15. Grigorij Laguta - great rider, but got a two year ban for an excessive creatine comsumption. Sad!
  16. Behave! It intrigue's me bjcol, how you manage to get so.... aroused on a Sports forum?
  17. Not really a huge suprise Tommy, given the strength in depth of Leszno and Sayfutdinov really flying. The disparity between their top 2 and Woffinden/Janowski was clear to see. The other two semi finalists were never likely to do much: with the exception of Leon Madsen and Lindgren.
  18. Certainly not looking good for the football club. I wouldn't be suprised on their current trajectory - if they dropped out of the (LL).
