  1. Don't mind Newcastle tbf probably prefer it too Berwick actually
  2. With the 4 point decrease in overall points limit, shouldn't riders averages improve naturally? Because primarily of a lower standard most seasons?
  3. Workington was probably one of the best race tracks in the country as well.
  4. Not sure if the 38 point limit justifies a price increase? The new limit suggests a lesser quality product. Also the limit would surely have been agreed by the promoters who run the individual clubs? Berwick at £15 is not too extortionate. Would I be willing to pay an extra £3.50 per week to see the class of Ricky Wells? Guess I shall leave that one to Edinburgh.
  5. Screen, Parker, Stancl and Bird won't have been local to Ashfield? Correct me if I am wrong all came to the club with high expectations and averages..
  6. Most of the teams listed already would give Berwick a good opportunity to be competitive in 2019. I'm perplexed by the now confirmed 38 point limit I do fondly remember the abundance a 45 point limit brought. Does the 38 point limit really encourage riders to maximise their point scoring over the season? Top riders at our level were a savoured thought/memory. What even is a top rider in today's PL? Nicholls and Harris have dropped down and achieved an average of eight. Certainly a good way of getting excess meetings. Bar Britain's big two, British riders participation was pretty minimal in the bigger leagues for 2018. Also sad to see Scott go thought he did a good job and had found a model that works for Berwick. Being competitive without splashing the cash like Glasgow continue to do. To conclude 2019 isn't really filling me with huge optimism. Maybe some good signings will change that. But it looks to me like another year of mediocrity and similar press releases to the ones I read, over the last few weeks and come to think of it years.
  7. No chance of being taken seriously. I thought with the lesser amount of fixtures to complete; the season would reach a quicker conclusion than it has.
  8. I'd like to see averages being scrapped in regards to team make up. Would also like there to be more fixtures in the calender and to get them completed with a greater sense of urgency. Predictably 2019 shall bring little change. Probably more mediocrity, manipulation to suit individual needs and ideaolagies.
  9. Only in Speedway 2018 (UK) could you have fewer fixtures and yet still struggle to run them within the proposed timescale. Looking in from a distance its been a good season for Berwick all things considered. Looking healthy for 2019 as much of the team could pick itself.
  10. Terribly sad news a very solid rider over the years.. rip tomasz
  11. Nothing suspicious, you know Sheffield's big boys just couldn't find that elusive set up for 2 weeks on the spin.
  12. World class? Are you sure? top riders in the PL absolutely though. World class to me is Bartosz Zmarzlik who sits on 10.32 (Stal) and 9.92 (Elit) in Poland and Sweden currently.
  13. His average usually nose dives in and around July. Keeping the figure nice and low for potential suitors the following season. Did well for Berwick in 2014 though overall.
  14. Seems to be the way sadly Don't remember the top boys of 15 years ago coming to Berwick and scoring 7 more like 16, 17.
