When was the last double header run at Berwick? I remember 2004 against Reading and Hull: The latter only ran until Heat 12 if memory serves me correct?
-
45 point limit back then as well...

Genuinely, if I wasn't working Saturday evening Redcar on paper looks good. There is fair chance: I would have considered going. Was 'very' close to going against Peterborough a year or two ago. Until I learned both Harris and Holder were not going to be there. Not Berwick's fault but that situation was symbolic of the peril the Sport finds itself in today. Furthermore to add a bit of context I attended Berwick Speedway (in the main) between 99-2014. Granted not a paying adult until 2004 but would have hoped my contributions assisted the club in some way.

Surely with a tasty meeting coming up Saturday. A more open minded approach would be more beneficial to entice old/new fans to return? Or, are you unable to make that vital connection. Rather finding it appropriate to 'as a supporter' offer to fight people and generally being inhospitable to others? Conclusion - Not much going on up top!

Still love it 20 years on brother. Granted not at Berwick but still enjoy following Speedway across the globe.

I believe this meeting is due to take place in just over 24 hours. I thought you would be all for democracy and free speech etc? -
Please discuss....

I think it is important to distinguish between fans and hooligans. -
Berwick v Somerset, Saturday 20 July 7pm

Didn't Schlien say he is retiring at the end of the season anyway? -
Absolutely agree and did a very good job for them.

I am perplexed as to where Nick Morris's big demands came from? A 6 point season for Swindon in 2016 and two 8.3ish season's with Somerset and Glasgow respectively? Clearly the club were not all that blown away with Morris because they went with Bridger in the first instance. The former kept himself on a nice tidy average for Lakeside though so fair play to him. Fast forward to the future Morris can't be averaging anymore than 5 for Wolverhampton at the moment. Maybe now would be an opportunity to bring Morris in, surely he can't be as demanding currently?

Adrian, I think scored heavily in almost ALL away matches in 2008. Usual exceptions being Edinburgh and Rye House although I remember Adrian getting 14 against a very strong Monarchs septet in the PL Whatever was in those bikes was dynamite. Sadly he didn't replicate that same form when he returned in 2010. -
Could do with the extra rides.

Just copied and pasted the quotation from a site.

Johansson, 31, makes his debut at Redcar Bears in tomorrow's Premier League joust. Berwick promoter Peter Waite said: "We believe Benny will fit in well and is capable of racking up a good few wins.... 3 rides never to be seen again. Think he rode against Kings Lynn at home back in 2008.

Well done Redcar -
I would presume there is no money to replace the underscoring rider or riders.

I wonder if Somerset will take any retrospective action? -

Yes, Aarnio's team (Krakow) are at a seemingly rejuvenated Poznan (Sunday) led now by David Bellego. -
Berwick v Leicester 22nd June @ 7pm

Some fantastic riders in the field that night who could go on to become world champion in the next 10-15 years -
Leicester arguably the strongest side in the league. Probably the Newcastle exit offered a more realistic chance of progression with Edinburgh in waiting.

Yes I would agree but 'certain' other clubs also have had to cut their cloth accordingly also.
