  1. Adrian, I think scored heavily in almost ALL away matches in 2008. Usual exceptions being Edinburgh and Rye House although I remember Adrian getting 14 against a very strong Monarchs septet in the PL Whatever was in those bikes was dynamite. Sadly he didn't replicate that same form when he returned in 2010.
  2. I'd presume Wells is riding on borrowed time now. He's a better rider than he is showing ....
  3. Just copied and pasted the quotation from a site.
  4. Johansson, 31, makes his debut at Redcar Bears in tomorrow's Premier League joust. Berwick promoter Peter Waite said: "We believe Benny will fit in well and is capable of racking up a good few wins.... 3 rides never to be seen again. Think he rode against Kings Lynn at home back in 2008.
  5. I would presume there is no money to replace the underscoring rider or riders.
  6. I wonder if Somerset will take any retrospective action?
  7. Yes, Aarnio's team (Krakow) are at a seemingly rejuvenated Poznan (Sunday) led now by David Bellego.
  8. Some fantastic riders in the field that night who could go on to become world champion in the next 10-15 years
  9. Leicester arguably the strongest side in the league. Probably the Newcastle exit offered a more realistic chance of progression with Edinburgh in waiting.
  10. Yes I would agree but 'certain' other clubs also have had to cut their cloth accordingly also.
  11. Even with the reduced limit again for 2019. Why consistently year after year are Berwick Speedway falling short? Like or loathe the governing bodies, they give clubs like Berwick a fantastic opportunity to be competitive every winter. Why again do we have no real top end strength? Why have the club raised admission fees significantly for 2019 yet the management still persist with certain riders who have little to no improvement in them? Nothing wrong with mediocrity but if this continues I don't forsee attendances improving at £17 a pop.
  12. Hmmmmmm 2002..Exeter..13..61..118..11..8.46..1F 2002..Trelawny..14..53..74..8..6.192003..Exeter..46..229..442..19..8.05..4F I was surprised when he went to Trelawny, pretty sure he started the year at the Moto parc. But probably just struggled to get the set up before a swift return to form at the County ground. As for Exeter between 99 and 05 would have liked both Coles and Hare who both seemed capable of scoring good points consistently away. Mark Lemon always good from the gate and maybe Tony Svab. Lobb Simmonds and Stephens all solid at home but maybe not the best travellers.
  13. Seemond Stephens & Brett Woodifield (Trelawny) Mario Jirout (Newcastle) probably would have been a hit had he not been in the accident a year previous William Lawson (Berwick) one of many in John Anderson's tenure. David Kujuwa (Newport) my memory fails me I think 2004/2005ish Peter Ljung (Reading) turned up a few times always had questionable commitment in the UK. Always a solid performer abroad.
  14. Laguta X2, Sayfutdinov, Povaznhy Darkin , Ivanov, gizatulin, Gleb, tarasenko, kulakow, kudriasow comes to mind off the top of my head
  15. Wrong time to post this but Any signings that come to mind? If so, why? Sean Tacey to Arena Essex - seemed more suited to Berwick and Hull etc P.s doesn't have to be your team, suggestions welcome
  16. Good win for Leicester last night. They should have enough to progress.
  17. "Just one match next week- was originally a blank week for rain- offs but Vetlanda v Dackarna has been brought forward to Thursday 13th which is live on Freesports at 6pm. Team line-ups will be known on Tuesday evening." Opole Vs Krakow was off yesterday, glorious sunshine in Poland as well. Probably a back story but couldn't translate sportowefakty
  18. Has Etheridge reached his ceiling? Doesn't seem to have consolidated on the good scores he achieved (initially) after being discarded by Edinburgh.
  19. But lets us not forget his many good scores at the likes of Newport, Rye House Isle of Wight and a memorable 14-5 at Craven Park in 2002 against a well placed Hull.
  20. Should be another cracking night with two rivals going head to head. Berwick have great strength in numbers but Newcastle probably have the best heat leader trio in the PL. If I had to put my neck out, I'd say Berwick to take it just over the 30 races.
