Michal Makovsky Testimonial
Robinh88 replied to Bandits4eva's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
Full credit to Doyle to coming up showing the commitment to Michal. That's Aussies for you and usually in Sports they don't do badly. I remember a Berwick fan saying believe what you hear from the club. If you are correct CT (which I think you are) it doesn't say much for Ben in a meeting I thought he could have scored well in. If Ben couldn't make it (well crap happens)but posting he's off to Stoke of all places is a bit disrespectful to Michal but oh well. Observations from last night Mudgway impressed and I think he will justify his starting average in the main team or not Doyle did very well along with Kevin Doolan while it looks like Tomas Topinka will take a few weeks to get going. Lyons after a duff ride really rode well not that his team are struggling. We still haven't seen Rymel or Makovsky at there best (at home) both are struggling from the traps at the moment. With Complin out we really need these two at there best to have a successful start to the season. -

Nope and as far as I am concerned the Speedway I have seen on the box has been as good as I can remember. Surely we tune in for the racing not who is commentating. Crikey much better than Phil Thompson going on about Liverpool FC 24/7 on Soccer Saturday! -
Well done tonight lads, probably as expected Bridger and King out of there depth but a much better performance from Woffinden. I still think he's a tremendous talent even Lindgren looked 2nd rate, maybe next year Tai. Sure the Nicholls rant will go on and on but the corrrect decision was made, the future is a lot brighter now. Keep up the good work Team GB and Rob Lyon!

TBH I thought she did really well tonight. My family usually tune in on a Monday just to laugh at her interviewing (there not speedway fans) but she did well and she suits the presenting role better I think. -

Best meeting I have seen in a good while. Full marks to whoever gave Mr Chapman the nod to take care of track matters. The match itself was a vast improvement on Round 1. Sadly Slovenia (Zagar apart) didn't contribute more to the match though I am not sure if the was anymore room for Denmark or Emil Sayfutdinov. We really have been spoiled by the racing on Sky this season even Charlie's one liners couldn't curb my enjoyment of the match. Team GB - Did themselves proud, the effort was clearly there and were always in the mix. I think Rob Lyon made the correct decision to go with the youth. Sadly one will miss out I'd drop Kennet as I think Tai will score more at Leszno. More to come from Tai I am certain looked down on power tonight but he's capable of much more. Danny King was in vintage Loram form and one wonders why he is at Ipswich. I don't see us making the final but the same performance on Thursday will mean we fight till the end. The Polish Team were sublime and reminded me of why we signed Benny Johansson. Pulled away in the last 10-12 races with Hampel looking a different rider to the one who rode for Ipswich. Kasprzak always rated him and tonight again he showed his class. To finish - I thought Heat 25 showed quite honestly why Mr Gollob will never be World Champion. I respect the fact they had won the match but I hope he is fined and I bet he wouldn't do it in his own country. Crump WORLD CLASS, model pro, performs week in week out. A true loss to Speedway in this country this year and I'd rather have one Jason Crump than 5 of those wishy washy poles anytime. -
I think you maybe right. Look a class act and I think he could do well in either el or pl

Either way he'd of had just as tough at Gniezno! Hows Lukasz Linette doing these days was looking promising a few years ago.
