Berwick Ranger find themselves in a situation akin to one that many of us experience - when our cars get older, do we carry on spending money on them, or trade in for a newer one with the costs involved?
"New" Shielfield Park is nearly 60 years old, and requires constant updates and improvements; is it time for Berwick Rangers to upgrade to a newer model? With the benefits of grants, and tax incentives to build rather than repair, it certainly looks tempting.
The Chairman of Berwick Rangers is a successful businessman, and a great visionary.
I believe if he wants a new stadium, he will have done his sums, and proceed accordingly - either to develop a new arena, or negotiate a better price for Shielfield Park, and improve it accordingly.
