Ashworth Over Looked Why ?
T.N.T. replied to Phoenix Nights's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Loram, Nicholls, Richardson and Stead - team picked why bother who else is in the squad. Screen, Harris, Norris could possibly get the reserve place but after these, no one else will get a look in Havelock will be around to help out and also in Scott Nicholls camp anyway. -
Track - no depth, watering should be done on level track and left to soak in, not raked again. Hancock - Great gating, on a smooth track it was a fight for second place Crumpy - The second best on show and with Greg rightly out in final, a deserved winner. Richardson - Got away with his first race, but a definate also ran . . . won be in next season surely TRick - when he rode his last race at Monmore he did a lap of honour and stopped to throw his goggles in the crowd. Thought he would do the same here, but obviously prefers Wolverhampton THE BSFRL NEWS
-
ANSWER; Dont get Colin Meredith to do the track then When all the Promoters know he prepares a slick track, why let him be the main man on tracks. Allan Bridgett has done a great job at Edinburgh and this year at Wolves while Terry the track over looks things at Wolves and Coventry. Get them on board and get a race track, not a scrambling track.

Championship Of Gb
T.N.T. replied to shazzybird's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
I agree that Loram should be in there, but I believe Havvy and Louis didnt want to enter and I thought it was the same for Loram, but have heard different elsewhere. Out of the line up that is left, Steady and Nicholls will surely be favourites and isnt it strange they meet in heat 20 ? Dont agree with the semi--final - finals in these meeting, should be the straight 20 heats. Also believe one place should have been given to the British Unfer 21 Champion, Ben Wilson. Just for fun, if these were the odds, who would you put a £10 on ? 4/1 = Edward Kennett. 7/4 - Lee Richardson. 6/1 = Dean Barker. 6/4 = Simon Stead. 10/1 = Oliver Allen. 5/2 = Joe Screen. 7/2 = David Norris. 5/1 = David Howe. 4/1 = Chris Harris. 10/1 = Garry Stead. Ev - Scott Nicholls. 6/1 = Andy Smith. 12/1 = Ricky Ashworth. 8/1 = Leigh Lanham. 8/1 = Paul Hurry. 8/1 = Chris Neath. -

Slovenia Gp Betting
T.N.T. replied to scottymelloty's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Get your Banjo out boys . . . think you may have to sing for your supper my money went on £20 on Leigh Adams @ 10/1 £5 e/w on Tomasz Gollob @ 28/1 -
Thought it was a pretty good start to the series and have to say that Nicki was brilliant in the final coming from last to first off turn two like that and then holding off Crumpie like that. Although as a Wolves fan, I like many more Wolves fans will never join the Danger Mouse fan club, it was no suprise how he did so well as he is becoming possibly the best rider around today and now proving it. Thought I was onto a winner at the bookies as I had £20 on Leigh Adams at 10/1 but at least got some back with £5 e/w at 28/1 for Tomasz Gollob. As for Steve Turners game, I bet on Nicki and Crumpie

Todays The Day!
T.N.T. replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Even if he does lift the title, in mine and many more peoples eyes, he will not be the greatest of all time. He just happens to have been dominant in an era lacking the world class stars and the birth of the GP series that has given him 5 of his 6 titles. While I take nothing away from TRicks brilliant skills, the fact Mauger had to do it against the likes of Briggs, Fundin, Olsen, Collins etc etc proves his worth while Hans Nielsen would have surely won at least four more titles if it wasnt for the fall at Bradford, the presence of Gundersen and only being able to ride in a few years of the GP era. Gollob was in the 1993 final, so really this is 13th time lucky for Gollob If injuries stay clear, I believe it will be between Nicki Pedersen and Jason Crump this season with possibly a suprise third place for Andreas Jonsson or Bjarne Pedersen. -
Oh yes . . . The Cabbage patch kids

WEMBLEY STADIUM WEB SITE If it takes a week to build hold and dismantle a track for an atletics meeting, then surely in the football close season as the British GP is, could this be a possible venue for Speedway once more. This may be a dream, but surely it could happen if talks are held as laying a running track and speedway track are possible.

Hans also still holdsthe record of most Gold FIM medals which I believe was 22. Think this will stay a record for a long time now as their is no longer the Pairs title to race for. He may have won 2 less than TRick, but Hans was the better rider
-
With Redcar now opening, I came across a web site that showed former Boro and Teesdide riders on it and came across this picture of Tom. Tom always kept his Wolves race jackets and even when racing in the pre75's on the grass he still had an old Wolves bike cover until it was pinched. TOM LEADBITTER - Teeside (Wolves racejacket)

Chris Holder Wins Nsw State Solo Title
T.N.T. replied to REAR WHEEL ROOST DUDE's topic in International World of Speedway
Has Chris Holder got any English parentage or relatives and is he due over here as there has been rumours he is coming over on a 3.00 average and likley to be at Ipswich or Belle Vue. PS. RW Roost - you are now third heat leader at Reading on a 7.50 average in the BSFRL. Click on Fixtures and Updates or top link of my signature to see whats going on -
Same here Hans Nielsen was the best
