  1. If he does he will get the chance to defend it, something that has never been done before. Lindback needs two wins now, but still has Zabik, Miesiac, Alden to beat yet. Still sticking with Freddie
  2. Great ride for Christian. Even better for Freddie with Lindback third
  3. Good Luck to Freddie and Christian If I had the choice, I would go for a final four, I would go for Lindgren Zabik Hlib Hefenbrock
  4. Peterborough and old Ipswich fans will be very happy with you
  5. With three new qualifiers, and most likley to get re-nominated, it looks like there will be one place up for grabs. Peter Karlsson and Simon Stead look the best options to pick from, but if Fredrik Lindgren wins the World U-21's then I can see him jump ahead of them all.
  6. Two Wolves riders in the line up - not too bad
  7. This has to be a straight fight between Lindgren and Lindback if justice prevails. Just hope it doesnt come down to the toss of a coin !
  8. Neils does have an outside chance, but from what I have heard, the ONE real place available is between Simon Stead and Peter Karlsson. The fors and againsts are . . Steady - ^ - Wanted by the BSI to take part to partner Scotty Steady - v - If Scott has to be nominated, they may opt elsewhere. Steady - ^ - age on his side. PK - ^ - Got to be the best rider not in the GP's PK - ^ - BSI dont wont to be shown up again as Hans is doing if PK gets the chance PK - v - At the wrong side of his career PK - V - First reserve anyway Apart from Iversen, maybe only Fredrik Lindgren realy warrants a call up, especially if he lifts the World U-21 title. Sadly polotics comes into it so its not that easy, plus your list of the top 15 riders in the world would be different from mine and many others.
  9. I will be camping this year, bringing the Mrs and three kids down, but leaving the women at the site for the nights action. Last year we were going to camp, but the site was further away than we thought so me and the two lads stayed in the car and in the morning used the money saved to have a full cooked breakfast. Was thinking of staying in a hotel or guest house, but the risk of staying in the same hotel as Shazzybird, Tabby, Woody etc etc was too much of a gamble . . . . so Tent it is
  10. Joe is a great prospect who turns 15 next week and I have helped out with spins at Monmore Green since mid 2005 where he has shown a great liking for. Due to his age, he has missed a bit of this years matches, but rode in an Under 15's there the other night and clocked 61.39 which was pretty good as the track had become more slick and Magnus Karlsson won heat 12 in 58.42. Joe will be lining up at Redcar soon and will certainly be part of their Conference league team next season.
  11. This is correct and Joe Haines is in both meetings as he has signed up to ride for the Cleveland Bays in the Conference Shield and will also line up for them in the CL next season.
  12. Think Hans Andersen has and will give Crumpy a hard challenge next season
  13. Hancock finishes third in heat 18 NOW CRUMPY IS WORLD CHAMPION
  14. Hancock despite only having 3 points can still make the Semi-Finals as 8th place is at present on 5 points. Therefore he can get in the final and win and Crumpy may not score another point which will mean Hancock can still catch him unlikley - but its still possible
  15. Although its almost certain that Crumpy will be World Champion - this has been called a bit early Greg Hancock may only have 3 points, but at present 8th place is on 5 points so he can make the Semi-Finals and therefore win the GP This would need Crumpy to not score anymore tonight though to stay on 11 points.
  16. Boz - Greg Blair wasnt really to steady and had a few falls as most heats were re-run at least once. Joe Haines was by far the star of the show with his best time being 61.39 and the next best time was James Sargeant with 64.93. Little James was possibly the next best on show while Adam Wrathall and Nick Laurence did quite well. kyle norton was the only rider really injured. He went down the back straight on the outside of Joe Haines and both entered the bend together. Joe rode safe and went to the white line while Kyle went mid track and half way round his rear wheel went round too much and at this point his front wheel lifted and down he went as Adam Wrathall and Greg Blair both crashed into his bike and knocking him. I sat with him on the track with the St Johns and he had a problem with his right knee which looked like he may have some ligament damage or badly bruised.
  17. Tonight at Wolverhampton there was an Under 15's match after the Arena Essex match with Dinosaurs V Cobras with Joe at number one for the Cobras. As there was a few accidents, there was only one nominated heat and Joe went through his three rides unbeaten with 9 points. DINOSAURS 13 Adam Wrathall 2 2 2 = 6 Kyle Norton X - = 0 Nick Laurence 3 1' 1' = 5+2 Tom Davies 1 0 = 1 Adam Challinor 1 = 1 COBRAS 17 Joe Haines 3 3 3 = 9 Greg Blair 1 2' 0 = 3+1 James Cartmell X X = 0 James Sargeant 2 3 = 5 I can also tell you that Joe Haines will make his Conference Debut on September 7th, shortly after his 15th Birthday.
  18. Jason Crump Leigh Adams Scott Nicholls Nicki Pedersen Bjarne Pedersen Hans Andersen Tomasz Gollob Jaroslaw Hampel Wieslaw Jagus Rune Holta Andreas Jonsson Antonio Lindback Greg Hancock Matej Zagar wild card the last place goes to . . . . . . Chris Harris or Simon Stead or Peter Karlsson
  19. The FIM have shown a lack of forward thinking in this qualifying system I think. 8 go through from the GP Series - Great 1 wild card at each GP - Good for Italy, Czecho, Germany however, if they are to hold a GP Challenge meeting and finish the meeting with a final, why didnt they allow the top 4 (finalists) to go through to the GP series This would still leave 3 nominated places for Mr Gollob, Mr Nicholls and Mr ? -------------------------- Top 8 from GP, 1 wild card at each event plus Jagus, Holta and Andersen leaves 4 nomination spaces. At present, Jaroslaw Hampel, Antonio Lindback and Matej Zagar are outside the top 8 an these three would be first on the list for nominations. As you can see below, they are not too far behind Nicholls (6th), Pedersen (7th) and Gollob (8th) but even if they did get above any of these three, they would also be prime candidates for nominations also. Therefore, I would say its who gets that ONE place available and chances are it will be given to a British rider like Simon Stead. Chris Harris would be one of the reserves anyway after tonights meeting. 1st CRUMP, Jason 20 25 25 25 20 25 16 = 156 2nd HANCOCK, Greg 5 20 20 16 13 9 12 = 95 3rd PEDERSEN, Nicki 25 14 16 4 6 9 11 = 85 4th JONSSON, Andreas 8 5 10 20 7 9 25 = 84 5th ADAMS, Leigh 10 7 11 6 12 16 18 = 80 6th NICHOLLS, Scott 9 9 5 8 8 20 8 = 67 7th PEDERSEN, Bjarne 5 6 7 12 18 10 8 = 66 8th GOLLOB, Tomasz 18 9 18 7 3 7 4 = 66 9th ANDERSEN, Hans - - - - 25 18 20 = 63 10th HAMPEL, Jaroslaw 4 16 8 18 2 4 10 = 62 11th ZAGAR, Matej 9 18 4 9 4 10 4 = 58 12th LINDBÄCK, Antonio 9 2 6 8 16 4 3 = 48 13th RICKARDSSON, Tony 16 6 4 10 5 - - = 41 14th IVERSEN, Niels-Kristian 2 6 4 5 8 5 6 = 36 15th RICHARDSON, Lee 8 4 0 5 9 4 4 = 34 16th PROTASIEWICZ, Piotr 1 3 3 3 1 3 4 = 18

  21. As Hans Andersen is now in the GP series as a replacement for TRick, doesnt his scores count now as he is not a short term replacement. If his scores do count, then he will surely finish in the top 8 and therefore PK should get the third spot from this meeting.
  22. I know Joe and his dad very well and agree that Workington do have strong links to an Elite League track. However, he likes riding on a prepared track and thats where part B of your suggestion falls short. Wolves 2010 - led by Fredrik Lindgren and
  23. CRUMP V LINDBACK This is possibly the hardest call as no contact was made, however it was Crumpy's move wide so quickly that forced Lindback with no where to go but down and therefore you could exclude Crumpy for unfair or dangerous riding or even causing the race to be stopped due to his racing line making another rider fall. However - Crump moved out wide and Lindback, right BEHIND him had to lay his bike down. If Crumpy was in front and he was, then he has done nothing wrong and the only call that could be made was Lindback out. Yet again, However had Crumpy made any contact with Lindback, then the call had to be Crump excluded for unfair or dangerous riding. NICHOLLS V ANDERSEN Tough call really but in the end it was just two tough riders not willing to give an inch and Hans rode the right line to try and drop it onto Scott going into turn one but there was contact and Hans in those conditions was going nowhere but down. Sad to say, but I agree that Nicholls was to blame and rightly excluded - for racing !
