British U-18's Championship
T.N.T. replied to T.N.T.'s topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
A worth winner in Lewis Bridger , but he was lucky !!! In the first staging of heat four, he missed the gate, readjusted his line and in doing so, bough down Billy Legg. However the ref calls it all four back Then in the re-run, he is trailing but somehow manages to get into second place but his bike is clearly not working and twice goes to pull ot of the race. This then leads to Billy Legg Ben Barker and Daniel Betson looked contenders but star of the show was Tai Woffiden who dropped his omli point to Lewis. -

When Daniel King won this meeting it had a pretty good crowd. Missed last years as I was on holiday in Spain, but it was said to be a great nights racing. Jack Hargreaves and Joe Haines have Wolves connections in a way while Lewis Bridger is excellent around Monmore. -

As I have heard of these riders, I dont get to see them much but know Lewis Bridger will start as odds on favourite. Jack Hargreaves knows Wolves well, but who will be the top four ? -

T.N.T. replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If you want the best riders available in the GP's then Lindback, Nicholls and Bjarne will get re-entered along with Peter Karlsson for next season - simple as ! However, I agree that Nicholls cant relax on the thought "I'm Englands number one, so I will get nominated anyway" so after three attempts to qualify, maybe he should be left out for a season. As PK and Harris are first reserves, maybe brining Steady in will be more benefit and give the other nominated place to Karol Zabik or Fredrik Lindgren who both will be there one day, so why not now ! -

Apart from the 14 riders listed above, who else would qualify as one of the Worlds Top 15 riders ? - Nicholls is one of the 14 and deserves to be there. remember that Peter Karlsson and Chris Harris will wear 19 and 20 next year as first reserves. -

People post about Nicholls not making the cut again, but he only jusat missed out and missed a round, so he is justified in getting a nomination for next year. Plus, if Nicholls, Bjarne and Lindback dont take three of the four nominations . .. who else is there any better ? PK - Brilliant in the leagues, but has always failed in GP's and in his late 30's Simon Stead - may get the other nomination, but not better than Scott Chris Harris - see above Karol Zabik - see above -

Wouldnt it be great if they had a microphone near Nicki on the rstrum as the National Anthem was played "Oh I am the one, the only one, I take no prisoners , I stand alone, So move out of my way on the track, or you will be in the fence and on your back, Now watch me race again and again Where's that xxxxing xxxxer, Ole Olsen" -

Makes a change from sending rider flying -
Lets see how he learns to walk before he runs shall we. We did speak about it a bit some time ago and I think it was a case of lets see how things go really. Joe isnt a cocky kid and wont say he is going to do this or do that. I personally feel that all British riders should have at least a season in the Premier League, but every now and again there comes along a raw talent that could adapt to Elite League racing from the age of 16. Mark Loram and Joe Screen were two classic cases, but Mark wisely at the time decided to move back to the National League for a time to learn his trade like Havelock, Norris, Louis etc all did. More recently Lewis Bridger has jumped straight into the Elite League and looked capable of treading water while Daniel King was much the same, but I feel he took a backwards step by moving down but doubling up instead of a season or two in the National League. In Joe's case, he has the potential and style to go along way if things fall into place but first lets see how he goes in the Conference League next season before working out where he will be in 2008. Just enjoy him at the lower leagues while you can

I am not his manager and havent claimed to be, but I have helped Joe out where ever possible and as for sponsorship, I am meeting Joe in two weeks to set up a package that can be used to give to possible sponsors. This will be a package stating what he has done so far, what he intends to do and what is needed to move forward in the sport. These will be used along with pictures by a proffessional photographer to hopefully get Joe some sponsorship. I am also in contact with a few companies about getting him sponsorship deals for next season and hopefully if these come together, then we can get Joe kitted out in a new kevlar suit and parts for his bike. I have also arranged for Joe to have Billy Hamill's mechanic with him in the Under 18's Championship at Monmore Green where Joe has been a regular visitor when possible after I got him in there to ride after the meetings in practice races and introduced him to CVS in 2004. So as I say, I am not his manager, but having spotted him as a 12 year-old on the grass and seen the potential, I am trying to help out as much as possible to move forward and will continue to do so. As far as I'm concerned his manager is his dad, Steve who has devoted a great deal of time towards Joe's career and at great expense and hope this is proved a good investment in the future.

see pm - a little bit of each

Joe scored a paid maximum in only his 2nd Conference Shield match and so far has scored 33 paid 36 in just three meetings Joe will also be in the 16 strong field at Wolverhampton in the British Under 18's Championship in October

Or maybe LINDBACK ACTUALLY TURNS UP ! CURRENT STANDINGS He is in 8th place, leading Hampel by ONE point and Gollob by TEN Next round at . . . . BYDGOSZCZ Will get nominated anyway . . . as will all the top 12 -
2007 Line Up - Any Thoughts

Therefore there will be no outside nominations and BSI will claim that all riders had a chance to qualify, so why replace a GP rider with someone who cant get through the qualifiers. Just a guess, but can you say who should be dropped from the top 12 ? -
You honestly think Tony Millard got a fact right ?

T.N.T. replied to styler's topic in Youth Speedway and Development Leagues
Well Done to Joe on winning this round with some ease. Many have said he was by far quicker than the rest and clocked times under 60 seconds which wasnt too far off the times in the Somerset V Robins match. -
British Selection For 2007
T.N.T. replied to Gaz W's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I have the feeling they will only have one brit next season and that will be Scott Nicholls. Apart from the three qualifiers, I think now, the last name to be added will be Karol Zabik. -
He was 15 on Monday and will ride on Thursday.
-
Gate 1 never had any heat winners until heat 5 when Freddie won. Lindback was also on Gate 1 twice, but this was late on in the meeting when Gate 1 was an advantage. I accept the meeting was over 21 heats but dont take away the credit Freddie deserves for top scoring.

I thought the same, it is disapointing, but then again . . . We are soon to be reaching the play-off system in the league and I am really hoping that Wolves can secure 4th place and then win again at Reading to reach the final. Is this any different as the riders know the rules before the start, just as teams do before the season starts. Yes it appears wrong . . . but everything gets sorted out like this now G.P's, league titles, GP Challenge etc.

Holder out of the running now Wolves 1-2 looking good

Not cheering for the poles then
