The streets of Cardiff are rammed with fans from all over the country on the day of the GP, not to mention the crowds from Sweden and Poland. Everyone has their regular watering hole before the meeting, so which public house do you go to ? Think I will spend a few hours at Wetherspoons where the Fairies get cheap booze from the off licence next door

Tickets On The Door?
T.N.T. replied to shortoi's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well I will be going with my lad who is nearly 7 and we will be getting the tickets on the day. I would rather pay someone who has extra tickets so they can have an extra few notes in their pockets to get a burger or a pint in the stadium. -
British Gp Draw Now Made
T.N.T. replied to Seb the Snail's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
On a one off track and a strong line up like this, anyone could win a race but the inside gates should be an advantage early on. This is one meeting where the occasion is possibly bigger than the meeting and I will be there to cheer on David Howe if he scores 0 or gets into the semi's. -

If need be, then I will have to try and get one on the day, but I'm hoping someone will be there with spare tickets so at least they can gain some money back.

Looks like I will be able to travel down on the Saturday Morning with my 7 year-old son. If anyone has tickets that are no longer going to be used, like family tickets extra one, let me know via pm or if you already have my number - call me Will then get the chance to finally meet some of the faces I missed last year like Shazzybird, Rabbit, Andy M etc etc. Grahame - TNT

Who Should Ride For The Uk In The Wtc?
T.N.T. replied to bazaar3's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
If this is still done with 4 riders and a reserve to come in at any time then I would go with At Coventry 1 - Scott Nicholls 2 - Edward Kennett 3 - David Howe 4 - Oliver Allen R - Chris Harris Then in Poland, drop Oliver Allen and bring in Simon Stead, but then move Kennett to reserve. In the Qulifier GB should do well enough to qualify anyway, but using Bomber at reserve means he can take one ride from Howe, Kennett and Allen and if required can be used as a Joker in a weaker heat at any time. -

So he started racing in a Rye House 2007 set of kevlars did he ? I for one am not ripping him to shreads and I havent seen many that have, the only questioning is why he is riding in the British Finals when he considers himself Australian. Its clear that starting as a 16 year-old Brit, he can join CL teams and start on a 3.00 average, but cant do that registered as an Aussie. He is not the first to do it as I remember a certain Mr Crump starting in the juniors at Poole as a young Brit. Tai is signed up for Wolverhampton and will in the very near future be lining up for them in the Elite League and I will be very pleased when he does. The lad has a great riding style and looks set for a glittering career, but I would really love to see him carry on as an English rider where he could easily be the #1 Brit by the age of 21 and would gain a great deal more sponsorship as an English rider. So one day he will ride for MY TEAM and WHATEVER nationality he decides to take, I will enjoy watching him ride for Wolves week in week out. -
................... and rides past a former GP rider who couldn't cope ! still he is enjoying watching from behind the air fence instead of behind three riders

I will hopefully be looking for tickets, so if anyone wants to get rid of spares, maybe they can state SPARE TICKETS on here. Sir Gollob, I may be interested, but cant say just yet.

Even the TWR design on the team shirts is made up from the Australian Flag. The only photo I have was with Bianca . . . Shame you didnt mention about that spare suit earlier Just like to say thanks and well done again to Jonathan Chapman on giving these meetings a touch of the 21st Century with posters, displays, side shows, good looking girls, guests etc etc. Maybe next years project for JC is to work alongside Sam Ermolenko and Jan Staechmann about trying to promote the Elite League. Cheers for taking the photo JC and if you get Bianca a ticket for Cardiff . . you can get me one too -

CHRIS HARRIS - Well Done to bomber on a job done with some fast gates for a change. Bomber is now starting to look the complete article and will grace the GP series for some time to come. I hold my hands up and thought he would struggle in the series but I 'm pleased to say I was wrong. DAVID HOWE - Great riding from David and a fully deserved Cardiff place for him as he continues a great season and performing how we know he can do after some poor form over the last 18 months. Edward Kennett was a deserved finalist and looked good all night while Danny King rode like an EL heat leader rather than a reserve. Great night and a great finish with the all or nothing final which could have gone to any of the 4 riders who all rode well enough to form the 2007 Team GB WTC team. Josh Auty thinks the same -

T.N.T. replied to Sandie's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
David was replaced and therefore never came under starters orders, so he is only classed as having taken three rides, had there have been no replacement, then that would have counted as a ride. Howe 1 - Kennett 1 - Monday will be the decider then . . . start ordering those ants !! I rate Eddie, but not as high as many others do and feel he is over hyped at times. He can ride Monmore well, especially with some good drip on the outside, but it would be a shock if he was to win the final and just making the final will be an achievement considering the line up. I am hoping David, Bomber and Scott make the final as then David only has to finish third in the final to get the wild card place. Would like him to win it, but those heat 13's and 15's over the last few years dont bode well, even at Monmore. He is riding well at Wolves this year, so if he failed to finish in the top six he would be rightly disapointed with himself, but I cant see that happening tomorrow night. -

Lets get this straight David Howe only had 3 rides and scored 6 paid 7 in those three races. The only point he dropped in the match was to Edward Kennett in heat six, losing by a bikes length. David then won heat eight and then it heat 10 he finished second behind PK beating Davey Watt and Edward Kennett from the back Edward Kennett scored 11 points from 6 rides and three of those were as a tactical in heat 14. The riders he beat to get these points were Heat 3 = Theo Pjiper Heat 6 = David Howe Heat 7 = Will Lawson (Davey Watt ef) Heat 10 = Last Heat 14 = Will Lawson and Theo Pjiper as a tactical Heat 15 = Last IMPRESSIVE STUFF . . . Nicki was on gate one, nearest the kerb, Jagus was off gate two. They both got to the bend and went for the white line, but Jagus got in front, but Nicki had to put his front wheel on the kerb, which is allowed. The problem was that his rear wheel then caught the kerb and the drive sent him straight. It is a GP meeting and they all go for every point, but Nicki's mistake was an accident and for a change, I will defend him on this one as it was clearly and accident
-
There is another GP rider that may well not be turning up for his team again as well, though not because of unjury.
-
He has been approached/asked to sign for a British team since he was 25 and has never shown an interest in riding in this country, especially with so many different race nights. Wolves fan - Speedway Fan - Not a Nicki fan However much I feel for Wieslaw, you cant blame Nicki's riding for this one, it was a racing accident and this happens at times which are just a part of the sport.

Lucy Pinder can no longer make the British Final, but appearing for photo's and autograph's will be Bianca Gascoigne, star of Love Island and step daughter of ex footballer, Paul Gascoigne. Wonder how many will turn up for this one ? BIANCA GASCOIGNE
